I drove it for 4 years (2007-2011) great performance, great breaks great diving experience for 50cc two stroke.........but a lot electric problems......I sold it......sorry Aprilia.....
What kind of problems you had?
Electric issues got all scooters no matter china or italian.lot of connectors, plugs are not waterproof ,corrosion causing lot of electric problems.i guess he had purejet ditech.
@@jenny-masterchef 1997 to 2001 are the best years, the injection system is the main failure point, plus couple that with electronics? recipe for disaster, plus those model years had the better engine, the minarelli.
@@Winner3ty nono screw minarelli.piaggio is way better.I know they lost lot of money on ditech but the latest sr is the best 50cc scooter right now u can get on the market.
@@jenny-masterchef hah, no. 300 dollars for the injection system? yikes no, carb is easily 40 dollars. 65 mph+ can be had out of the minarelli easily, if you do gearing and bbk. cvt for extra launch and a little speed

Wow! This model was discontinued in Canada the last sold was 2014 model and all was ditech which is hard to tune. Mine is still alive but I converted to carb since the ditech motor is a crap. 70cc all the way.
i bought a lot of cheap reserve parts for it.Later can sell them anyway.also a convert kit if i need to use.I also use 70 cc kit.its a must have.i only need a carb.ditech is perfect driving in the city.
@Tanvir Ahmed ditech parts such as compressor,injector,fuel pressure regulator...if u dont know ditech,dont buy it.
Yeah..all the cheap Aprillias in my country are ditech :D and the ones with Hi-Per 2 engines are little bit overpriced..Have an Yamaha Aerox myself,also 70cc kit.Wasn't bad for a 50cc,but overall i think the Hi-per 2 engine is better than the Minarelli on my aerox(bigger top speed),but the Minarelli engine has some advantages :)
@@davis9045 minarelli is a expired engine.they didnt upgrade it only piaggio does.i like piaggio,ditech or carb doesnt matter, it has the best parts,easy to maintance and its fast.

thanks to dubble sls :D but i saw the bike when it takes off,bloody oil smoge machine.just remove the sls and replace the stock exhaust.

depends on where you live.. in macedonia you can get a 2019 brand new for 2.350€, they are literally selling in every motoshop... check hamachi.mk and choose english language, go to 50cc and you can find 4-5 different aprilia models (on the video this is SR) i think they can ship it to your country, check it :P

Nope that is what I have and it's called the morini engine made by Suzuki. Since 2009 they replaced my engine with the vespa engine and its sloooow. 2005 and 2006 are the best years of this bike.
@@TURTLEscooterking there is only morini and piaggio and peugeot junk.and no vespa but runner engine.vespa is short, runner is long piaggio case.theyre start selling this model sinds 2005 which i stil have it.real italian parts no cheap china.the latest models are modified.as u can see there is lot of runner parts and that dubble sls crap but im happy they sell 2t.i dont like those ugly vespas zips with slow 4t engines.maybe aprilia or piaggio should change those ugly 4t engines and put it under these sr.

Reggie Johnson it's not too small its convenient and if you de derestrict it it can actually overtake the average car but I wouldn't recommend it for sessions that are over 30miles.

Wiede Hopf from factory it comes with restriction of 45km/h so its road legal in EU. It can be derestricted with a full power kit (200€) and than it can go 80km/h

bad quality engine,the rest of the bike is ok.
Piaggio is the best engine only these one has lot of mod to pass eu4 emission.just need to remove all that nonsense parts.
@@jenny-masterchef piaggio is piece of crap. Have tendency to snap in half. Very thin wall aluminium. I have two of them broken.
@@ivannovoselac3518 if an engine brake most of the time caused by owner.heavy tuned or take a test drive without engine cover and no bolts on.in the 50 cc class is one the best engine u can get.im not sure about the latest types.u had bad luck i guess.
@@jenny-masterchef no, have seen lots of them broken, 50,125,180 bb blocks for 25 years of expiriance in my scooter service shop. Why minarelli don't broke in half? Even without cover? Because piaggio is weak one.
@@ivannovoselac3518 i agree that old hexagon engines brakes but 50 cc not really.i had heavy tuned one without issues and lot of drag racers using it.driving without cover and bolts soon or later all engine will break.they have same weak construction design.about ur experience telling me u had really bad owners to deal with.
