      @@lifeinbozemanmt The information that you provided about the housing market in Big Sky MT. I’m looking to move to Montana this year and I haven’t done a lot of research yet on Big Sky.

    Big Sky is nice but there are growing pains. Crazy high HOA fees, Big Sky Resort sales tax, sewage treatment issues, shortage of restaurant/store/construction staff, crowds, construction rush hour traffic to/from Yellowstone Club, shortage of parking spaces at hiking areas, unaffordable living for hired help, etc. Fortunately many home prices are starting to drop.

      There are certainly some difficult aspects and challenges with the growth that Big Sky has seen. And yes, with the interest rates and the winter season, it’s nice to see some prices being adjusted to the market for sure. Do you live in big sky now?

    It’s defiantly is a beautiful area. When we can get bye the upper guard shack we drive too Ennis. We work with children with special needs in West Yellowstone at the Diamond P Ranch. My dream is too move part of our therapy Ranch to Bozeman area. We are the award winning The Heart Of The Horse Therapy Ranch.

      Ohhh I love Ennis! I plan to do a vlog tour there in the next few weeks (finally!) I've heard of your ranch and the work you do - thank you!! Let me know if there's ever any way I can be of help - finding property here, etc. I'd be truly honored!

    I live in Northwest Montana, too expensive to live here. Property tax, housing market, rent is unaffordable that is why most people have to work two jobs, medical care is best in Missoula. This is a great place to visit for vacation. There is a reason why Montana has only a million people in the whole state folks. I have lived here for 11 years and are moving when the weather breaks.

      The northwest has certainly grown a lot, much like southwest Montana. Where are you moving to?

    Where do those 900 summer employees live? And how much do they pay rent?

    • @lifeinbozemanmt
      @lifeinbozemanmt  Před rokem +1

      There’s a variety of places both winter and summer employees live. There is quite a bit (and more in the works) of employee housing, as well as other rentals in the area for use. It can be tough to find, which is why big sky is working on providing more! Are you looking at working in the area?

    • @alexbasshead

      Yes big sky but not employee housing. Interested in long term apartment rental

      I hear ya! Big Sky is definitely one of the highest property value areas in the state. Bozeman, Belgrade, and other small towns have lower prices for sure! Are you looking to move?
