Brine Remediation: Restoring Contaminated Farmland with a Cost-Effective Approach

Thousands of acres of farmland across the country lie dormant due to brine contamination from historical oil and gas activities, which can cost $2-3 million per site to remediate. Now, Terracon’s Fargo, N.D., environmental team has developed a “Combined Technology Approach” to remediate brine contamination at more than 2,500 sites in the state, while reducing costs up to 90%.
