Rarefantastic. and beautiful car. My first thought in the beginning of the video was that it oolks quite good. This time I was right. I am a stock kind of guy. Old rare cars shuold be preserved in the way it left the factory. There are some car models that "the fast and the furios" have destroyed for all eternity. Every kid puts extra gages on the a pillar and a ugly muffler at the rear. For every car that gets holes drilled for a wing on the rear or an aftermarket body kit there should be a law that another exactly identical car should be preserved. You know by now also have a soft spot for the way you make your vids. The footage, editing and feel. Superb. Looking forward to the rest of this series. Your work is absolutely first class.

Not to be a snob but there actually never was a 944 Carrera GT. This is a 924 Carrera GT, the biggest difference was that the 944 had a porsche 2.5 Litre in house developed engine. It was actually the prototype engine used in LeMans in 1980 in the 924 Carrera GTR. The 924 Carrera GT uses an Audi sourced engine. In 1987 the one and only 924 to get the actual Porsche engine from the 944 was the 924S model.
That said these cars are EXTREMELY rare. They were produced as homologized production cars so that the 924 GTR race cars were legal.
The GT, GTS, and GTR were all 924s. The 944 was derived from those cars.
Recently at auction (2019) a 924 Carrera GTS sold for $350,000
Just some info for anyone curious about these cars. That said loved the video it’s one I’ll definitely be watching more than once or twice 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

acchaladka No worries! One thing I always wished they had made was a 944 variant of the GT GTS. The best way to analogize these cars would be to compare them to a Cayman GT4 and GT4RS compared to essentially a relatively base model 718.

@@TakeFlightGarage the factory made a race-only 944GTR that was 944S2 based (not to be confused with the much earlier 924 Carrera GTP that was 2.5 16v Turbo)

j1nx3d5 was the 944 GTR raced by Porsche? Or did they only build a handful for customer teams?

Another great video Sandro . I am looking forward to watch the single stage paint correction. I remember when that car came out. Nice tip on use Car Pro Eraser since not too harsh of IPA wipedown.
