Cliffhanger!!! I want to see the car being started up, and maybe even driven. Will there be a part two? Tough decision to restore or conserve, but if the car is not original anymore, then I think you took the right decision. Fantastic to see craftsmanship, passion, and a no compromise attitude to this restoration. I wish it could be a bit more like this when restoring my old Mx5 :D
This was a fantastic project. I saw the car before and after the restoration, as Road & Race do work on my cars. They are fantastic restorers and did an outstanding job on this car. OK So now for some info. If you watched (and listened) to the video you will have heard the car was used after Le Mans by someone and altered and had been damaged. The drivers at Le Mans said there was no damage on it when they handed it back. So the car had a different engine and lots of damage NOT caused in the original race. So restoring it was the correct thing to do.
its nice to see with the lights down, the feature is they retract not that they pop up. yet people always have them up? i know of course the pop ups have been deleted and good thing too
Shouldve left the body in its original paint with all the battle marks. Ruined IMO. Now it just looks a replica. The former told a story. What a shame.
Oh please, how bad ist that? They´ve ruined the car, the whole originality is lost in the hands of this guys, who think they´ve done a good job. But guys, what is original? A car that shows it´s history, or a car that looks like it´s born today? I can´t belive that this is done...
One of the bests of its kind! Respect.....very good job!! I need a million to buy it....I come back in twenty years and then buy it....
