In this video we go over Anthony Edward’s 1st signature shoe - the Adidas AE 1:
Cushion featuring a combo of Boost + Lightstrike feels good on feet, no stiff feeling and excellent comfort inside. Even though this is a very heavy shoe, it doesn’t slow you down too much and there’s no pinching anywhere from the upper. Traction is decent, but be aware of dust pick up and the outsole’s performance does take a hit on dusty courts. The AE 1 fits true to size, but you can also choose to go up a half size for a more spacious fit. Stability, support and lockdown are all very nice based on my experience.

Got the shoe and played with it right away the weight was definitely noticeable on first impressions but as a bigger guy the shoe is almost perfect great first signature shoe overall

AS expected! I noticed these had a similar cushion setup to the 2017 Crazy Explosives so my expectations were already high for these shoes!

Had my AE1 today, I went true to size. its really a snug fit, no slippage at all. Its heavy but it does not matter when you play in it.

How hard does the outsole feel for outdoor use? I love the BYW Select but the extremely soft tread on that shoe got eaten up instantly. Would love an outdoor-friendly version of that shoe. Thanks!
Not very hard/sturdy from the way it feels tbh - I’d probably stick to using these indoors.

Went true to size. First of all, it's freaking hard to put it on! No joking. The tongue is so tight that my foot couldn't slip in. Secondly, the laces pinch the top of my feet. Are these problems unique to me?
Still considering which to buy: AE1 or Harden 8. Great review! But I think the shoe is full length boost without lightstrike according to clips already tearing it apart.

Closer to Lightstrike - I’m not sure. Just from how they feel it’s like a slightly less cushioned version of the Harden Vol. 7 basically.
I feel like the front end always gets loose 5 min after playing in them. I even got a .5 size smaller than my normal size idk if anyone else having this issue
I bought the shoes a couple days ago and for some reason, these are the only pair that have given me blisters on my foot. How could I prevent that? I played in the LBJ 21, AR15, Sabrina 1.
Oh really! I’m not too sure honestly - like to me these are much more comfortable than the Sabrina 1 & AR 1, so our preference and foot shapes are likely very different.

Umm not much. The Harden Vol. 7 for example gives you more of that snap/springiness.

Hello! All Pro Nitro - but I’d also recommend colorways that have a translucent outsole over solid rubber for the best traction performance.

Is the weight of a shoe a bit overrated since the difference between the heavier and lighter shoes is less than 0.25 pounds? I’d take comfort and bounce over worrying about lightweight
