Bay and Clay not working together is still pretty wild to me
After playing her story, I’m even more disappointed with her because she’s such a cool character. She should have been able to work with Bay and not have such an underwhelming niche.
Also, yes, Nikke is allowed to have non-meta characters, but it should be criminal to have such good looking characters be so objectively bad 😂
I mean to be fair, her whole story is her learning to be more independent away from Bay. So it kinda works out lol.

Shift up really needs to stop releasing consistenly useless or niche units and focus more on releasing consistently useful units that is at least useful in PVE content.
If this consistency continues, we might only ever go full whale for anniversary banners only, and these only occur like twice for the half anniv and full anniv. Idk how shift up is gonna earn more money if this trend continues. They're literally jeapardizing themselves
I agree and disagree at the same time.
One one hand: Yes. Lately they've been releasing way too much mid characters (except few like Bunny Soda and Maid Privaty(i love shotguns:3)), so we just have to skip and wait. We NEED decent characters, that aren't Piligrims lile Crown.
On the other hand: Way too much powerfull characters is a bad thing too. If players'll have to waste gems and money on every second banner that comes out - there will be way too much whining about how Nikke is P2W and that you can't play it without getting broke (although, to be fair, it's not like you are competing with anybody. It's not about speed)
But yeah.
Some good allrounders would be nice.
I still like hearing about the game, but Clay was my off-ramp for Nikke.... at 1200 golden mileage too. Happy hunting!

It's obvious shift up never fully test out these characters themselves before they drop them into the game.
It's kinda wild to me how they can't properly test these characters properly that even us players would've done a better job.
Either they were lazy or they hired passionless ppl to do these testings. I'm legit tired of Nikke consistently introduced more niche or useless units than useful units that can actually be used to at least push PVE content like campaigns instead of being eye candies.

nobody can name a single dev team out there that actually thoroughly test their game, because they don't exist. if its bad, broken or overpowered then they'd obviously know which they don't hence why every game dev has those exact problems I just mentioned and more.

i agree with zxous, but generally he doesn’t care if a new nikke sucks. he usually be more glad because he can save money. but he is extra salty simply because his favorite nikke bay wasn’t getting what she deserve. i hope he can now understand how other ppl get extra salty when their favorite nikke gets dumped.

I wish Clay had some synergy with Bay. Maybe have to wait for the unique treasure 😅
Hmm I've never played stellar blade but what if that character has true damage
ok so on one hand they're giving us something to potentially look forward to in the future regarding specific team builds, but on the other hand it is uncertain whether the resources required to get the characters will actually be worth it
I got clay last night so I can save up for summer anis :)
They said in the half anniversary video that they were going to reinvent the element system. A true damage team would be universal against elements.
I personally feel Shift Up releasing characters like this isn't as big of an issue given these characters will end up on the Standard banner in the end. In my eyes, releasing characters that can bring more potential to old characters that weren't super viable beforehand is a good thing, as long as they aren't gatekept behind their exclusive rate-ups like Genshin does.
The differences are marginal though. You aren't suddenly clearing high CP encounters because you got Bunny Alice. If shotgun team is B tier, a new character like the new bunnies make it B+ if you're lucky.

Yea we don't need every character to be broken but Bay and Clay not working together is pretty unusual. Still putting them together on my teams whenever I play 😆
Every character in a squad should work with each other somehow. Most of these squads are basically pointless.
I got 3 extra clay just to pass level 160 xD

Most squads do not have any synergy with eachother with only a few exceptions, so it's not really surprising they don't work together at all. Disappointing yes, surprising no

I don't mind. Frima was pretty useless before. Some buffs for her and for upcoming characters is not a bad thing at all. Plus Clay is a B2. Why would she be a support for another B2 (Bay)? If she were a B1, then sure, I'd expect her to assist Bay, but when I saw B2, no. It was obvious for me she would be similar to Tove. She was made to make shotguns relevant. Now they're introducing, or rather, expanding the True Damage strategy.
Doro is for a Distributed Damage and Pierce kind of strategy. Another, completely different thing to consider while putting together a team.
I think you saw she would be released, remembered what you saw of her as a character in Bay's event and immediately formed an idea in your head about WHAT she should be, which is nowhere close to what the devs wanted. And now you're dissatisfied.
The thing about Clay working together with Bay "because they're a team and they are cheerleaders" seems kind of... I dunno, an exaggeration. When was the last time a canonic team worked perfectly in sync JUST because they're a team and were really relevant for the meta?
No, my man, I think you really exaggerated.
Clay is a Frima and Laplace buffer. And that's okay. The amount of characters is growing, some will get buffs, some new mechanics will be added. It's normal.
Only thing I disagree with you is that I think there shouldn't be any "bad" characters. Every character should be reasonably viable to use with some being exceptional such as pilgrims, and certain limiteds. Bad characters just waste good character designs because no one is going to use a bad kit no matter how good the character looks/ is voice acted.
Mid tier kits are fine because people can waifu hunt and have diversity in team building, and it wont negatively impact gameplay. But if you have a waifu of lets say... Trony, Yan, or Ade then you're kinda just s**t out of luck.
The discrepancy of good & bad units just make new players hunt for the top tier units instead of units they like. Eventually it'll just make the game boring for veterans and new players alike.
I think the only thing I have seen that they repeat despite making them understand this, is that they are useful, but, where, in what, I do not understand why they say that if they are for pvp they are also not useful
They need to just let her give everyone True Damage, like they need to change that ASAP, do characters ever get changed in this game? Im new player so im wondering....

Funny how she is true damage buffer but sucks at it. One would think that niche charas at least could outperform other buffers and provide top notch buffs at least to their respective field. At least people can save for what actually matters. On the side note these types of characters should be SR and there is plenty of them but Shift Up needs the extra cash despite them being one of the top earners in Gacha field. Funny how there is 0 backlash, dramas or talks about this but whatever.

Again why does Clay NEED to support Bay? Just because they're cheerleaders? Their both bursts 2 that option should have been thrown out. Everyone in this thread doesn't want a niche character but also wants to pigeonhole her into being a mandatory Bay supporter😅.
Well, it's more like, Nior & Blanc go together, Tia & Naga are a pair, most people would assume these gals would be a pair..but surprisingly they're not.

@@charliehuggins6199 Those duo's support a lot of Nikke. Even if they did go together it would be a defensive duo and unfortunately defense buffs are worse than Crit buffs.
They could have given the true damage thing to a new character other than clay, clay should have worked with bay 1000%

If shift up keep making too many niche kits this game life cycle will end sooner. Units dont have to be broken just somewhat viable kit.
but, in what sense, for pvp? for solo raid? for what, like, trony have 50% attack buff, and then bay, 40%, and then clay 45%, like that? because if its not niche then everyone will be "meta", so, in what sense

i already commented like in 5 different past videos about Clay was not going to be DUO with Bay, it was pretty obvious even before the notes with her skills came out, Bay is so bad ShiftUP did their best to make Clay a whole different unit with her very own Niche LOL, and im glad. im Very pacient and i can wait 6-9 months for the new True Damage META hehe.

I don't know why shift up keeps makes bad ssr nikkes. It's like the only ones worth using are pilgrims, duo nikkes, and nikkes like liter and alice who break the mold. Trony wasn't great, bay wasn't great, clay isn't great. I don't get this. Does shift up think they can make a character bad and not test them just because players will pull for them solely on looks?
look what happen with trony only for the feet thing, with bay only for the wallpaper and other things, and with clay, i have seeing a lot of people pulling for the same reason as bay, soo, yes,and that is also why many people wait for summer, that is why many people buy mary and maiden skin currently, and even buy the crown gacha skin(you know the drama with the gacha skins) so yes, they think that because through either the surveys or what I mentioned to you, we pull into appearance as per kit, not only and always one or the other

Made 3 of 10 pulls, didn't get her, don't care, don't give a shit about her. 2 more weeks and she never existed to me. Still got 102 nikkes and 12 pilgrims anyways😂
