      i have visited Slovenia. Loved it. I must have one of the most unique ways of entering a country for the first time. Staying in Italy en route to Montenegro to watch an England football game you had to catch a Bus from Venice to Villach in Austria. I started to take photos of the Locos on the station. The guard of my train wanted to ask me what I was up to. I told her I worked for the Railways and was interested in the designs. She came back and said the Driver of my train wanted a word. He thought I was a driver so invited me to share a Cabride into Slovenia through the mountain. I never told him I was only cleaner !

    On the topic of bees, slovenian honey bees referred to in the video aren't assholes so you don't need to kill them most of the time. However, If you have ever had to run like hell because the wind blew a hive out of tree onto your car while you are washing it or you discovered an underground nest they decided to make in your garden when just tilled three weeks early, you may want to kill one or two bees or the hundred chasing you around and trying to kamikaze you to death for a mile before leaving you alone. Seriously, I am chased around at least once a year. Usually its the damn yellowjackets here in the US though, which are wasps not bees. Every year, early fall-ish. How dare I move my trash can to the road and back? I have to constantly get rid of them either by wiping out the whole colony or getting the whole colony to move. And they will just swarm your ass on sight. At least bees usually are provoked whether you did so or not like the hive falling from a gust of wind. Yellowjackets not so much. Males can't sting but there are a lot of females and they just attack. Just kill those find the colony and wipe them out with gasoline dry ice poison low grade explosives maybe a pound of tannerite. Maybe catch a raccoon and let him munch down on them. The worse thing about them outside trying to murder you is is they'll get rid of your other pollinators. If you see them around a hive, they are trying to kill the honey bees off. So pick the right side in the pollinator war. Choose the fuzzy ones.

    The combined network of ziplines in Slovenija is considered the longest in the world. Have been on them twice. In Žalec, Slovenija, there's a beer fountain in the heart of their hops growing region. You purchase an empty mug and can sample all the craft brews in the country from various fountains arranged in a semicircle. Barbara was spot in about all the different dialects. Went on a tour and our driver was unfamiliar with the area so he stopped at a local tavern to get directions. Came back a few minutes later and stated he didn't understand a single word of the inn keeper, less than an hour's drive from Ljubljana.

    This is the first video off this channel I have ever seen. My life has been changed:
    1. After watching it, I have decided to go to Slovenia this year.
    2. The bunch of famous Slovenians I can name no longer consists of ski jumpers and footballers only.
    3. I have decided to check more videos and it was the wisest decision made by me in the past couple of weeks.
    Tristo kosmatih medvedov and a few more. I wonder if there is connection between that and the bees.

    Reason 3 is an invitation for bad people to just destroy. Growing up I had a niejgbor with the most beautiful lawn full of exotic flowers. People, squirrels, and cats passed by without wrecking it. Then dog ownership increased and they invaded her lawn and shred them and defecated on them to ruin the soil and the diverse greens and flowers. We lost a gem. They didn't spare them. A sign helps but catching them in the act and recording it is now a must.

    6:38 ... I have been told that Tata, Tate, Tati and Tato all mean "Daddy," but Tatu means thief. What does that mean?

    • @sam_vos
      @sam_vos Před rokem

      Tata = dad, grandpa
      Tate, tati, tato = different forms of the word tata (I don't have a dad = nimam tate, I gave it to my dad = dal sem tati, go ask my dad = vprašaj tato)
      Tatu = thief, but the basic form is "tat", tatu is just another form of the word tat
      With all that said we don't really use these words often, the more common ones are oče/ati = dad and ropar = thief, the ones you wrote are from different dialects
