Brian is genuinely one of the most resilient and overall sincere people I’ve seen on the internet and to top it off he’s got super human strength
A cool idea would be to make a guide that would help people make there own program with factors like biological law of accommodation, fatigue management specificity. Keep up the good work man
Yes! Can't wait for the sandbag workouts. Great to see you training at Neversate like the old days.
The combination of hard physical labor and heavy weight training can build an iron physique and an iron mind. Miles is a warrior.
Awesome to see Miles still putting in work!!
This is super informative! Question for you... have you ever tried a meal plan from Next Level Diet? I got one and I love it!
When Brian posts a training video, I automatically have a better lifting week. Perfect for a Monday before training! 👏🏻
Keep them coming!
I really like that you included the grounds maintenance in this video to emphasize the functional nature of weight training. I also love those banded planks, I need to do them much more often.
100% bro. These videos are awesome. To be honest, Nobody in real life is really that into training as I am. So, This did feel like an interaction. Thank you brother.
Good to see you back to your gym, Brian! I've been following your for a couple of years now! Wish you all the best.
Miles is a true inspiration
My absolute favourite moment from this clip (8:26) is Brian just shaking like a newborn deer while Miles is just chilling next door.
MILES !! good video amigo, its always good hearing you pick apart your training and your thoughts behind everything
Freaking get it miles! What an incredible inspiration
I am very excited for the add on program!
If you would like to make more of those - I would be fired up for one with your conditioning/ assistance finishers. I always felt that these are the most unique and fun parts about your programs.
Miles is a absolute beast, i have so much respect for people ho get the best out of life🙏🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
I love this series!
Been looking forward to another one of these!!
Love seeing the training!
Seriously love this, been watching you for a couple years now. You help a lot man
Loving the content Brother!
Awesome video as always
You guys are great! Thanks for posting these good ideas, again! 💪🤘
Love this format brother.
I did enjoy this format man. Thank you
You’re amazing man! I love watching your videos because you’re the most down to earth person on here!
Great content bro
Love the Videos! Thank you all of them. After your hard season is over it would be cool to see you do one week of your training doing the everyday carry program. I think it just give people food thought. Thank you again.
All the best!!!!
Great video! Awesome to see Miles in the video (and of course Kona too!)
Awesome thank you my brother.
It's always great to see you have a merry merry December!
i def enjoy this type of format so please keep them coming! I wanna try those banded planks! they look challenging! Sleepy time tea has been a staple of my life since i was a kid...really hits the spot late at night especially during the winter months. Hope your shoulder mends well and you're back to normal soon, brother!
Miles makes it awesome!
Thanks for taking the time to put out another great training video especially with Miles, you two are great motivation. I really appreciate the tip on using the collar for single arm barbell rows. Thanks again!
Thank you, such a humble approach really makes it whole!
*Brian, been following you for years. Lately, your channel is putting out a desperation vibe. It seems like you're trying to recapture the magic of old, by focusing more on training videos, like the old days. But it's not really working. And the reason is, you're forgetting the main ingredient that made those old training videos so great......the humor! The editing in and jump cuts to black and white where you crack jokes. You have the knowledge, but so do MANY fitness youtubers. What made you stand out was the jokes. The grandfather clock part of this video.....that was the most entertaining part. You need to get back to that if you want this channel to work.*
Man, I’d love to believe you but back when I was doing jokes and the pandemic hit, all I got was people saying how annoying the b&w cuts where and I was losing a ton of subs with that complaint showing up multiple times in the comments so I stopped.
Sorry it seems desperate to you my man, I’m just trying to put out info that I haven’t put out before and the picking are slim…
Sitting here watching Papa Brian after a great gym session while wearing one of my Neversate shirts. Looking forward to some new swag. All my shirts are XXL and I've shrunk to an XL. Have a good Christmas Brian.
Perfect video as I’m in the parking lot about to go into the gym!!!😊
I like this format. Good to see you back at Neversate again and Miles as well. I will try the rows and also the sandbag lunges, though a medicine ball will have to do. I don’t have a sandbag.
Miles is amazing 👍
Do you think you will ever give some book recommendations?
Reading is definitely something that I need to get more into and would love some options!
Awesome content, and love your programs man! They've taken my overall strength to a new level. If you're looking for ideas, a 3 day a week program would be great (fits best with my BJJ schedule and recovery).
Ahhh. Single arm barbell row…put the bar between your legs! Obvious, but I never thought of that. That will be in Fridays workout.
@brianalsruhe that tip for straddling the barbell while rowing was a substantial adjustment and involved more rhomboids, which I love. Thanks brother.
I could definitely relate to your training around injury. Hurt my right wrist a while back so I kept training the left side. The right definitely caught up soon following recovery (side note: recovery is all about tolerance and gradual progression of exposure to stress, so take it easy man 👍)
One idea for unilateral pressing would be half kneeling landmine press. Would be a refreshing challenge from DB pressing.
Awsome the good videos men
Those rings are looking dope 😊 nice Xmas colors.
I've missed the training vlogs
I started single arm bent over rows awhile back and believe they are one of the best upper back builders , i also change the height of my upper body to hit the back at different angles. I superset them with one arm cable lat pull downs. This was a great learning video, even for me at 62. PS, grew up on a dairy farm and did alot of firewood carrying and splitting.
Yessir!
Awesome video. How has the throwing up been as of late?
Man.. i always tell myself i need to get a sandbag. I think this new plan might be what finaly gets me to do it!
Hey Brian. I know you like Bulgarian split squats, and I discovered a way to do them that eliminates your ability to cheat completely.
I got tired of having to do them at different heights when the equipment I needed to prop my leg up wasn't available, so I started putting my foot against the wall.
The result is that it's almost like a pistol squat, you can do it, but there is zero cheat capacity.
Brian... I was cheating significantly more than I thought I was.
Can we get a video of the top personal choices of the books on the shelf?? 🙏🤷🏼♂️😁
Hi Brian. Sorry about the shoulder. I compete in the Masters division in Powerlifting and have shoulder issues (5 surgeries on the right and 2 on the left). In addition to physical therapy, stem cell treatment has really helped me. Im using my own cause it’s cheaper, but even my old tired stem cells have worked wonders for my shoulders
Nothing like a day cutting and chopping trees - a very distinctive smell off of sweat, saw dust, 2 stroke and petrol. I wonder is that an Irish flag or Ivorian flag hanging from the ceiling of the gym? Great video as always
Yes memories of growing up on a dairy farm and going out on a cold day to get some firewood. A workout just in itself.
@@freedomrings1420 firewood warms you twice, as they say!
Looking forward to the sandbag stuff. I occasionally have to work in places with no gym access for a couple weeks at a time. Sandbags seem like I can make my own gym anywhere with dirt, but I'm curious if you have any other recommendations?
Sweet
Yeah they call that the spillover effect so it definitely can help strengthen your shoulder without directly needing stressed
Brian, with your BJJ training and strongman carries, how do you keep bicep tendinitis away?
Have you had any accident with dogs running around while you train? I would be scared that I drop something on them or trip on them.
👍👍
Sir, Do you or the Doc have any advice on single arm press training even when healthy? Is it worth it? Thanks 🙏
Im 6 ft 2 but long torso short femurs short arms how can I increase my deadlift? Squats and bench are flying but deadlift sucks
For the algorithm.
Hey Brian The last few months I seem to be getting sicker and sicker from training. Like I am sick, and can't go training, and then when I feel great again, I go to the gym 2-3 times, and I get completely sick again, for another two weeks. I guess my cns is completely fucked, and I should probably take it slow a few month. Do you have any tips on how to recover faster? Because training heavy is my passion, but my body doesn't seem like it can keep up with it atm.
I know my name ain't Brian but in case he doesn't have time to respond: First and foremost; if you can then go see a doctor about this. If you can't; try and figure out what's causing your body to act this way. If it is your CNS then try building up tolerance by training a little lighter and working up to the heavy sessions. Take deloads. Your body cannot function at 110% for extended periods of time.
Also, I don't know if you take pre-workout supplements. But see if helps to skip those. Some people are intolerant to one or two of the ingredients and feel horrible after taking them more than once.
@@NoOoDLe666 Thank you for your reply and your tips!
Hey Brian is Miles your son?
pull your shoulders back before deadlifting
What kind of hat are you wearing?
