Sitting over 50 years without running, the guys dig in and discover a long list of obstacles they must cross off before they're able to see if there's any life left in her. Will they be able to get this 75-year-old piece of machinery to live again, or was there a reason this thing was parked many years ago?

You guys realy have patience to work on that truck, hope it will work out very good, cant wait to see it, good luck
In early 1946 my 3 Uncles returned home from WW2 to there home near Milwaukee Wisconsin. They went back to work on the farm with my Grandpa along with getting married, raising kids and planning there own lives after the war and the farm. My Uncles were pretty good at poker and together they brought home nearly 2000 dollars from 4 years of poker and sheepshead as they did there part in the war in Europe and the Pacific. They pooled the money and bought Grandpa a new 1946 International pickup and a 1947 International 4 cylinder farm tractor. The pickup was 979.00 dollars and the tractor was about 1450.00 dollars if my memory serves me right. Grandpa kicked in what they were short but the tractor was not delivered until spring of 47. Anyway I learned how to drive at 10 years old in 1957 in that old pickup. As I watched your video memories just flooded my brain. Thanks so much for your efforts getting that old girl going. You did my heart proud. God Bless.
Do you still remember the sticker inside the glove box? Be patriotic-- save your tires
Wow what an amazing story, thank you for sharing ! Would love to hear more old stories
I just love old stories like this!
@@ohiofarmer5918 😂 muy curioso. Salud 🤙
$2000 in 1946 = $28,440 today. Not sure you can even look at a new truck for less than $45,000. Vehicles sure have gone up way too fast over the years. All that emissions crud the EPS insists we pay for.
I still have to give Sister Christian a gigantic thumbs up for her filming quality, way to go Sister 👍
I agree. She does a amazing job. Does she do the editing also or who does that??
Excellent film work, for sure !
Excellent work 👍
Her fire spotting skills ain't bad neither!
Which way to go ? What a strange thing to say !
"Thank God" and "praise the Lord" got me....we've been "turning wrenches" for over 58 years and give thanks to Him always....
I was employed by Navistar International for 32 years and it's a thrill to watch you guys bring back life to a great truck of that time. Thanks for the upload!💯
Never in a million years did i think that truck would run! God is truly watching you guys with favor. Great work!
Kissing ass
@@SuperLocoloco69 I really don't need to know your personal fetishes, troll. But if kissing posteriors makes you happy that's fine by me. Have a wonderful day doing whatever makes you happy, friend. :)
these guys are the real thing , hard working , God Fearin , fun people Keep up the great work 😁
Making money out of you and making money out of the cars they restored. Fool
What a memory. Dad had a 1947 . We piled seed corn bags on the front fenders and took them to the corn planter. Was a big deal to drive the truck off road on the farm. I don't ever remember any mechanical issues until after I was married in 1976 and we changed a water pump. Lightning struck close and St Elmo's fire danced all over the engine block. Then the tornado showed up and took part of the barn roof.
Unbelievable that Dad sold the truck without asking me if I wanted it!
I am honored to be able to work on old rigs with my Daddy aka "The Ole Man!" Lance, we are blessed men..
Fascinating. Love the sounds coming from this old engine. Great tech skills and knowledge on display here. Love the old US vehicles. A piece of history worth saving.
You guys just keep just keep killing it awesome. After roadkill quit CZcams I never thought they'd be another show as good as they were
Thank you. We appreciate the compliment
I am new to these guys, I really like the content. If you haven't found Derek at Vice Grip Garage you should check him out....
@@ericmoody3944 yes his content is good too but the chemistry between Father and Son and his daughter is just awesome makes me remember my dad I remember how many hours helping him work on his Hudson jet it had a 454 big block and a four-speed Muncie transmission with a 9-inch Mustang rear end

@@ericmoody3944 They did a collab a few months ago with Derek.
When I was 14, my Dad took me out to the country and put me behind the wheel of his old International truck. Still have a picture of me standing in front of it...I was so proud.
You guys are amazing. I love that you're bringing the old junked vehicles back to life. This old truck brought back from the dead. Awesome!
"Everything else breaking loose except what we need" - top line for me. Another excellent episode. What a fight this one was.
It’s so cool seeing this old girl getting a second life like this. I hope the owners agree to sell the truck, or pay you guys for your efforts
That’s amazing you got that old girl to run breathing life into her good video Father and son. From California San Diego.
Awesome video. Y'all are so blessed. Amazing just seven hours after posting already a quarter of us subscribers have watched it.
I remember my dad telling me about his first truck he had in the 60s - a 1940 Ford. His eyes would light up when he would tell me stories about it as a kid. He's gone now so this brought back a lot of memories and I appreciate it. You two are so determined and methodical and it's a joy to watch you resurrect something. So thrilled to see that old truck run. Thank you...
Yes great memories. My Dad always talked about his first car, a 1950 Studebaker Champ. He got an employee discount and paid I think $988!
Das ist ja Wahnsinn , nach 50 Jahren , es muss Bremsen, Licht ,Blinker ,Stellbremsen ,Benzintank, Karosserie ausbessern , Windschutzscheiben,Wischer,Lackieren dann schon losfahren ,Oldschool Truck ! Super
👍👍👍👍👍
Just ran across this video. I love old vehicles and seeing them restored. I love to hear you and your dad praise God when you got the plugs out.
Hooray! That ole international is cool! I love your dedication! You guys don't quit is what keeps me watching you - Thanks for keeping smoky Joe running!
Loved this video. I always like seeing the old antique trucks and cars roar back to life keep up the awesome work
SELVA!
Saudações ATLETICANAS!
Man, when they pumped up the tires, i figured this gem would walk away. And that!
You two guys have the patience of Jobe and the stamina to never give up~! You're praising God but when God had this truck it was in a bad way. My praise is for you two~!! 😉👍💪✌
We are only able to do what we do because of God. Every good and perfect gift comes from God. It’s through God that we can do anything, so all praise should be to Him.
That was so cool to watch it come back to life! Love the sound of that old engine. Amazing that it actually ran again after being locked up for so long! Looking forward to more revivals!
This was so much fun to watch! Took me back when my buddies and me did this. Being a land surveyor I was able to see a lot of properties and find a lot of old vehicles lost and forgotten about. Hidden treasures that were restored and brought back to life. It was a great feeling to hear that engine turn over and watch it move down the road the way it had done 50 years or so ago.. Great times for my friends and me, and these videos help to relive those days. Thanks for posting them!!!!
Felistasiones a los grandes maestros mecánicos favulosos estraordinario fabuloso saludos cordiales dé la república de Chile por la razón o la fuerza
I've heard a couple times listening to you guys mentioning "checking to see which direction things were going" in relation to whether you smack a piston one direction or another. Fellars, the motor is static when turned off, so it does NOT matter what direction it rotates when trying to break it loose. it can turn in both directions when turning it by hand or by hammer. It only matters - direction wise - when it is running. Smacking a piston to loosen in the opposite direction is "was" turning while running is perfectly fine. Brutal, but fine. This is no different than smacking one that was on its way down prior to when it stopped... and then rusted in place.
Love the show! Glad you restored yourselves.
Appreciate the interest, determination, decision making, trail & error and innovative recovery work - and the filming was so professional she captured almost everything 👌👍
Great job guys and Christian. It’s nice to see the old truck running. 👍
My husband & I were cheering her on! And when she ran we were so proud of her!!!!
Su dueño original dve estar feliz mirando desde el cielo, que su aprecida camionaeta esta rodando otra vez....Adorables boy !!
Wow, 50 years sitting and the dynamic duo does it again. Let's go for something sitting for 100 years guys lol. Love this channel, keep em coming.
Maybe find a Model T?😉
@@arrow1414 yeah I know, an old model T completely underground and the Bush duo resurrecting it. That would be cool.
yeap back when they made stuff to last forever not crap like today.
The methods you use to free up that engine are inspiring! Also love watching the steps to remove those spark plugs. Lots of ingenuity. Thanks for sharing!
We used a block of wood and a hammer on top of the pistons to jar it loose. And pry on flywheel because it has more leverage! Crank block and break or strip. But you guys are awesome! Praise the Lord brothers
When I bought my 1963 Lincoln Continental the engine was locked up. People thought I was crazy. It runs now and we all love it.
The coolest family heirloom that I've ever seen. Kudos to the family for not letting it go and to you two guys for bringing it back to life. As the old saying goes,
"They Don't Make Em Like They Used To"
Not letting it go is not preserving it
Love seeing the old binder run again. Brings back memories push starting our old '46 or finding a ditch to run it down and hop start it, haha.
121921/2243h PST USA. Guys…. I must appreciate your patience and mental condition. Bravo. I stopped all my work to see the end of this repair. Thank you and Bless you people stay safe.
Я восхищаюсь не только этими ребятами, но и машиной , которая не хочет умирать.
Always wanted an International pickup. Missed my chance by one day for a '73 (?) 4 door International military truck. Still smarting about it since 1996.
You guys are amazing! Who’d a thought anyone could get that rust bucket not only running but moving under its own power. Hats off to ya!👍🏻
I loved it! Wow! I have never seen a locked engine get freed like that! So cool!!!
My hats off to you. Faced with a similar situation. I think I might have just stood on the fender & soaked it down with a 100% urine solution.
Awesome job working hard and getting this one to run, a running project gives that vehicle a much better chance at being saved and cared for further. These old corn binders make for beautiful rods and the fact that few people build them up makes em extra cool in my book.
Thank you for the video! Absolutely love these "will it run" videos. You guys rock! I see that 35 Chevy (I think) sitting in the background, can't wait until Derek gets his hands on that. Have a good day and God Bless!

Amazing guys! I hope the owners let you restore it completely that old girl deserves that after getting stuck in the woods for 50 years❤️😎
We can see from the old piece of column shift lever that this was originally a 3-on-the-tree truck. Mine still is and I definitely appreciate the inspiration you guys have supplied.
Great job guys I used to work on stuck engines and if I had heads off I would use torches to heat up pistons then put my snake oil in the cylinders as it cools it draws it deeper into the rings also the change from hot to cold would help
I was born in 92 but I'd still love a truck like this🧑🔧🧑🏭🕵️
Herzlichen Glückwunsch, dies ist nicht nur eine großartige Therapie, sondern auch ein Kunstwerk, das alte Relikte wiederherstellt. Herzlichen Glückwunsch....🤩🙏🤩
Seems like you folks, Derek at VGG, and Junkyard Digs release your videos in unison! This is one hell of a marathon with reviving/ rescuing some fine automobiles! Much love from Ohio!

There is something about seeing an old vehicle pulled out of the brush and brought back to life that puts a smile on my face.
Love that Lincoln in the shop. My dad had a red 1976 Lincoln coupe I used to drive when I was 16. I'm 56 now 😂
Awesome job guys ! Glad to see it running again. Love the videos and updates on things. Keep up the great videos and have a great week 👍
Outstanding, great job getting that truck to run. Will you do a restoration on that truck or just sell it after you get it driving and running? Thanks for taking us along.
Family that owns the truck will decide how much further to take the restoration. And they said they do not want to sell it. It was all explained in the video....pay attention.
@@urbanurchin5930 to long of a video. I have PTSD. I was in the Marine Corps to long. So probably won't watch anymore of his videos, because of u
Sounds good boys. Job well done! Yes. Praise God! ❤👍
I had an old KB-1 retired Idaho Bell Telephone truck I bought in 1976 while I was a student at WSU. (Washington State University) It was a pretty solid old truck 45 years ago. It was good enough that I drove it across the state from the Idaho border to the Puget Sound without any issues. I used a quart of 30 weight oil on the trip (plus some healthy doses of STP) It had a three speed on the tree. I learned how to double clutch on that truck. It was happiest at about 50 miles an hour.
Muito bom o canal de vocês acompanho sempre que posso, é uma bela caminhonete, parabéns pelo trabalho.
Nice effort boys, hopefully the family will let it go to you. Love to see this back on the road again. 🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍

Great job my brothers in Christ..the Lord gave you wisdom and talent to fix even an old car..congrats and more videos
Nice job guys ..that was some awesome content when you cracked that engine over the first time with the starter with the head off .. that looked really neat
Parabéns pelo lindo trabalho!
I started by watching Y'all cut this truck out, thinkin you will never get it running without a total teardown!!!! NICE WORK!!!
One that old rig fired from the push start I've had a permanent grin. You have been give a talent and haven't wasted a dime
Nice work guys! Love seeing these old vehicles brought back to life.
A rusted, junk yard bound truck, cranked up and driving. My congratulations. Most people, almost all, would have given up and said no way, but you did it. Just goes to show what can be done when you are determined to not take NO for answer. If THAT can be made to run, almost anything can be.
I say fix what you need to be safe clearcoat the rest ,clean the windows and drive the old girl.
That's why I like watching y'all's show because you guys never give up you're going to get it running no matter what it takes you're going to get there love the show man
Ya'll hit it out of the Ballpark on this one! Your Faith and Determination did it again. Awesome!

Evaporust down the cylinder, dissolves the rust, unsticks the rings, gotta change the oil after, but usually that's the least of your worries... good luck!
Praise god and bless you guys! This video was truly incredible. So so beautiful to see such a gorgeous piece of Americana roaring back to life and breathing once more!! ❤️❤️
I sent this video to a great friend in Boise ID, who happens to be an Old Iron addict and Lord lover just like you folks. He mentioned a tip that makes a lot of sense when trying to get a "stuck" engine to turn over after settin' for so many years. He recommended getting one of the back wheels up off the ground and rocking it back & forth with the trans in gear to pop the engine loose. Taking the plugs out and squirting a generous amount of ATF in each cylinder to let soak while chopping the truck out of the woods would certainly help as well. Give it a try on your next stuck engine rescue and let us know how it went. Stay safe, stay handsome and to the girls, stay pretty . 👍 ✌

My son is a volunteer fireman for Bonnieville, Ky and they have a 1940s binder that they use to fight brush fires. It's indestructible.
I stand corrected. It's even more rare than a binder. It's one of those 1960 Dodge Ramcharger 4X4 military trucks. I asked him what it was and he showed me a few pics.
"It's working ain't it?" I love you guys and the south in general...
Great videos ALL. God Bless All!

I had a '48 one ton duelly short bed as my daily driver, 6 volt system really hated the kansas winter, but it had a black diamond flat head 6. BEST dang truck, EVER
I had a Mercury V8 flathead that did the same thing and when I took the starter out it allowed it to turn over. The starter was up on the flywheel. That turned out to be the perfect engine. Great job.
Wow..... that's amazing......i couldn't believe that this truck will work.......perfect job....and u were very patient.... greetings from Greece
