If you have access to the wifi, you can use a network analyzer tool on your phone to see what is connected to the network.
The audio playing in the background is good too, as that will drain the memory on a recorder a lot faster. If you're gone for 8 hours in the day, that will cause the recorder to pick up 8 hours of music.

Even more important than the information you gave about finding surveillance bugs is the fact a professional private detective told me how low the odds are that my hotel room will be bugged. Thanks! You took the paranoia down quite a few notches for me.

A while back in a major city, the local media hired PIs and did a sweep of hotel rooms/conference rooms near the airport and found various devices. Some of which were obviously no longer in use but others were.

Hey sir, thank you very much for this informative video. Might I ask, what type of 'glass' or material is used for the viewfinder? Plastic? Glass? Tinted plastic? Dichroic glass of some sort? is it flexible or stiff? Many thanks. @The PI Guy

Well, you CAN...but the question is, will you stand a chance of winning? You'd have to PROVE that THEY put it there... or had knowledge of it--and prove that if they DID have knowledge of it that it was not a Federal or Legal sweep on YOU for suspicious activities... Sounds simple doesn't it? Remember the law isn't usually into just giving money away without cause or justification, and the burden of proof is on YOU.
