The key to good aiming is having an RGB led mousepad.
White Male Murican and an led gaming chair
Mouse pad is pretty important too (like actually, a table with a mouse sensor is less effective than a mousepad with a mouse sensor)
I bought a mousepad that covers my entire desk lmao. Genuinely helped me, I got paranoid that I'd run out of space and pick up my mouse too often.
javier2337 and led gaming socks
of course razer xd

EVERYONE who is trying to seriously improve their aim on PC really needs to see this video. You point out important things that I haven't seen anyone else mention in any other aiming guide. Showing this to any of my friends who want to try to get into FPS on PC.
Thank you very much! That means a lot
he points out alot of stuff you don't need to know, opinionated stuff and some fake facts. He doesn't mention MUCH better aim trainers such as Kovaaks but he mentions the free trainers like aim labs aim hero and aimtastic. Every player who is trying to play competitively/professionally should definitely buy Kovaaks its only >£10 or something but it's so much better because of how many scenarios there are and how customizable it is. Over aim trainers are normally buggy, not many scenarios and sometimes horrible input lag. If you really do not have enough/casual then get aimtastic since it has a very good engine, good customisability and no input-lag.
he says to get better at predicting you need to use less aim. That is wrong, the only way to get better at prediction is to just play more, he does say that the more you aim subconsciously the more you can predict which is what playing more helps.
lol I suffer heavily from lazy aim in overwatch. I typically run a setup where it takes 1.5 feet to do a full 360... pretty good in cs, not so good in OW
This _is_ really useful. I'm only comfortable with dual analogs at this point. As a lifelong console gamer who's planning to switch to PC, keyboard and mouse controls are so incredibly awkward that I dread even trying to learn them. I'll have to keep these tips in mind, because I know from a technical performance standpoint that mouse aim is far more precise.
"Recommended for you."

Is that jotaro Steve?

No, U
When I was 12 playing any fps on console, I would always set my sensitivity to the maximum. And I actually did pretty alright. Picking up a controller now, I have absolutely no idea how I played like that.
I was the exact same way lol
small fingers little movement :v
You played like that because snapping your aim to the next enemy was more important than adjustment of shots this is mainly because of aim assist
it might be because old gen joysticks were a lot more sluggish compared to new gen
Pretty sure your range of motion with your thumb is more as you have a longer thumb, I dare you to hold a PS2 controller and see how small it is. P.s I used to call it the perfect controller and I don't think it would change ,when I was a kid. Boy was I wrong
As a 20 year FPS veteran, this is a good crash course for those who want to improve mouse aiming. The low sensitivity "arm aiming" style is truly one of the most effective methods for muscle memory. The more muscles involved in something, the more the brain learns how to execute that pathway. You can then slowly increase your sensitivity over time if needed. Nice video.
What Dpi and windows sensitivity do you play on ?
@@csb8447 can u help me
Arm aiming is only for flicking. Wrist is used to trace.
Arm aiming benefits are that its less fatigueing for your wrist and faster to flick (When on low dpi)
Wrist only isn't very effective. The combination of wrist and arm is the way to go
@ This is true. I've been wrist only most of my life cos of small/shitty desks. The range of motion is so limited that u have to use a high sens which isnt ideal for most games.
Muscle memory for aiming is a fad. A player with good mouse control will be able to change their sensitivity and mouse without any significant problems, so long as they don't go into extremes. There can be a noticeable difference, but that's not related to memory, but more related to comfort and preference.

There is a good video for aimdrills in apex legends specificly.
Also wanted to add: Dont panic. I see so many people just trying to empty their magazines as fast as possible. You need to train yourself to pull the triger when you're on target, rather than just shooting as fast as possible and hoping to be on target when you pull the trigger. Slower rate of fire then? Yeah, but you hit more shots, you reload less often and well, you will kill more!

I've pretty much always used Tf2 to warm up for Apex. Only issue is that Tf2 is all hitscan and low TTK, but the benefit is the two games feel extremely similar, despite the difference.
@Vigil Serus there are also projectile weapons in titanfall 2 they are just not used as much (volt is probably a good one for apex training)

Wow this is genuinely useful information instead of generic advice, thank you! Subbed!
This vid is great I love how you go in depth rather than just “get this, do this and play more.”
this was a really good vid, there a lot of aim guides out there that really don't say much useful stuff, but this one actually helped a lot, major props
Awesome! I kinda just applied how learning a music instrument works to learning to aim. The skills are *very* similar - it's all muscle memory and a bit of hand-eye coordination (less so with music I guess, but still)
This is probably the best aim guide video I have seen so far. Because it touches on so many things other than aiming and tells you where aiming skills should be applied in your game.
dude! best information i have ever got on youtube about aiming. be proud of your channel, and your work, and keep it. And I hope you get success and grow your channel.

Dude, this is absolutely the best tutorial out there.
Not even gonna lie , this was the exact video I was looking for, I never got a good and clear cut answer like that. Thank you! I can’t wait to finish putting my new rig together to start practicing again. Most likely gonna watch this video like a million times over lmao good stuff. I really hope you continue to make videos cause your info is actually very good, please keep it up!
hey..this was actually a really in depth guide. a lot of stuff ppl forget to talk about is in here...very down to earth and easy to relate to. those things that you wish other guides have are just in this video. very well done
The most important Training everyone needs to do to become better are microshots-exercices.
That's the way to become really accurate.
Yeah, it's also the most common aiming technique you'll be using. If your map knowledge and game sense is reasonable, you know roughly where someone will peek so you just need a small flick to correct your aim
Man..
You have good explanation right there
I finally know where I'm bad at,and know the purpose of muscle memory
Thanks dude
Wow I just watched this video yesterday day and I started this aim training and I have to say this was literally the best tutorial I ever watched on aim. My muscle memory is decent now especially the micro flicking that is really solid now. I went into an apex match and saw a huge results, first my aim was a lot better and with that decent enough I was thinking about other stuff such as where I should go next and positioning which you did mention that in the video so I was really happy that I met some of the goals within the video and i was able to knock and kill way more people. This truly is one of the best if not then the best tutorial on aim I have ever seen. I'm definitely going to subscribe for your other great content!
This is exactly what I have been looking for. I feel like I a lot of bad habits of aiming when I watch back my own gameplay I'm shocked at how far I've made it with the way that I play. Thanks for the quality content
Dude, everything This Man saying is full of truth!! i have discover how to train properly After watching "Baby Steps" then i apply starting at slow phase, practicing repeated course everyday
until my speed, accuracy, tracking , etc. are now mostly above average. Then i see this video. its like remembering all the trainings i have done. Great video bro. Good Content
smart advice.. glad to see you move on from battlerite and covering other topics as well... I've been playing Fortnite and Apex Legends for quite a while and my aim is pretty bad. The slow aiming thing I haven't thought of before... I'll give that a try. Good luck with your channel and hope to see more stuff from you regarding fps games.
Let me know how you get on! Starting slow and focusing on precision is a technique you use when learning to play a musical instrument faster - so I've adapted the idea from being a musician for like... 23 years haha. And I know from experience that it's the best way to learn when playing guitar, drums or whatever else. There are some definite similarities when it comes to learning aim on PC :)
Xiomaro You are definitely right! I play the Trombone and we also use this technique!
Xiomaro Thanks for the guide! I will let you guys know how I improve!
ive watched a lot of videos on this sort of topic and this was by far the most informed one well done

This is the best video I’ve seen on improving aim and gameplay. Thank you.
really good stuff! thanks for mentioning aimlab, feels like im getting better already :)
I only discovered it while researching for the video but it's actually really nice!
I just started increasing my mouse sensitivity and even though its hard to get used to at first, it only takes a few hours of playtime until it feels natural. I'm hitting my shots and securing a lot more kills in Apex now, and ive had 4 wins today alone. Practice makes perfect.
Im trying to improve my aim for last few days by watching a lot of videos, doing a lot of aim trainings etc but never heard about starting slow and memorizing good habbits first and then going faster and even when i just tried it today i felt better. Thanks great video
The best guide out there hands down. Short, sweet and to the point no BS.
Very informative video!
Been playing FPS for a couple of years so my aim is pretty ok but I'll try aimlab out.
I find it quite fun to play around with :) Even the more gimmicky drills are quite fun
@Xiomaro Yea, just tried the microflicking for half an hour, played a game of apex after and I swear I hit like 20 wingman shots in a row.

Yes, finally. You got me hooked as you're possibly the only channel I watched that made this statement when talking about aim.... Aim isn't the only skill you need, and without the others, aim won't help you alone.
Xiaomaro, you're one of the best channels I've ever seen about teaching how to play games. I remember seeing a video you made about Battlerite competitive that entirely changed my mindset across all competitive games: you don't control your teammate, so YOU should try to keep closer to him and don't ever expect he does what you think he should do. This made a so much better player.
Great video, going to get aim lab and play some games after a 15 min warm up.
"Just get in there and fight" Best advice I ever heard.
I think this is the most entertaining and informative ive have ever seen on youtube

Wow. One of the most informative and helpful videos I have ever seen. I decided to step into PC gaming this week since I got beta access to Valorant. I've been struggling but I plan to practice a lot with your help. Thanks :)
I like how you explained tracking, makes more sense than just trying to aim at the enemy. Good shout dude 🤙😎
My issue is my brain can't take in the fast flick shots with everything moving all at once on screen and my brain gets overloaded and I just potato out, I don't know if there's anything out there that could help me out with that but this problem is hindering me from playing the faster rusher gameplay style, which causes me to have to play the slow and deliberate longer range playstyles which are perfectly fine but I'm screwed when ever a rusher decides to curb stomp me lol
I played like shit. I watched hundreds of turtorial how to improve my skill. Then I found this film! I don't play like a pro now, but I've finally started hit opponents and I can survive more than few second. Thank You :)
6 months later is your aim better? What did u do?
I’ve had pc for a year now and my aim is still pretty bad
wow, your point about training muscle memory and doing it slow is so true. never heard this before and didnt think about it but it s so obvious. to learn movements you repeat them 1000 of times slowly and do them everytime perfect. thank you for opening my eyes and free my mind.
btw: my aim is precise in b44, old cod and quake but only good in cs, bad in pubg and apex.

What about apex legends weapons having different sensitivity?
The devs are pretty ignorant towards competitive fps games. It was a 'mechanic' that they specifically designed to be apart of the game and is in no way an accident. That's one of the main reasons I don't play that game anymore. It's too annoying to learn all the different weapons + a new sens for each one. Plus the sound in that game is way too frustrating, I was fighting a team on low ground and I'm assuming he dropped from up top or sprinted up behind me and I didn't hear a thing until he started shooting. The walking/running footsteps are too quiet as well, sprinting is fairly loud at times (if it doesn't bug out or get layered behind something else), but if you walk you're basically silent and moving faster than crouching which isn't good. Audio is extremely vital to fps games and I shouldn't have to nonstop do 180's in game to ensure that I'm not getting flanked every 5 seconds.
@@jcrawlox109 i have been looking into a way to contact the dev team in regard since there are about 5 different multipliers in the apex settings but only the hipfire one and 1 out of multiple ads multipliers actually works.
It actually tilts me to the other side of this planet when i set my ads value to fit pistols /smg /shotgun and all i find is a sniper
Best aim guide I have every seen. Thanks man!
Such a good video. Love the focus more on the mentality of it rather than just pure mechanics
when doing the training in aim labs, my mouse constantly gets lower and lower until its almost off my mouse pad, anyway that i can fix that?
You mean you're running out of mouse mat? Either get a bigger mouse mat (I have one that takes up my entire desk). Or learn to recentre the mouse quickly. Bonus 3rd option - if your mouse mat is already large, maybe your sensitivity is too low? It's hard to say without knowing more :)
@@XiomaroTV mine takes up about 50 % of desk, but i cant seem to stop dragging my arm closer and closer to my body while trying to do the training sessions. I have a feeling its just me. I might try upping my sensitivity a bit, but then it feels too fast.
What's your sensitivity on?
You don't have mouse acceleration on do you?
@@itzEspeon I used to get that when playing Osu. I found simply increasing my DPI by 200 fixed the problem.
This is my suggestion for "practicing" for apex legends... PLAY TITANFALL 2
It's got literally the same guns and they function very similar (except for the Mozambique, it's much better in titanfall 2).
The pace is MUCH faster, and while the body shields aren't a factor, It forces your brain to do things on instinct rather than thinking too much.
This opinion is subjective, but it's worked for me so far.
LOL
Really interesting and great video! Also I'd like to mention that one of the best ways to get used to a new sens if you are coming from really high to low is to start from the smallest possible movements which is tracking. Aim Hero has a great mode for tracking with a lightning gun. At first it will be really hard, but if you try your hardest to keep your crosshair on target, you will get used to the new sens over time and it will help removing the "heavy" feel of the much lower sens making the new sens feel natural. Never go straight to flicking when changing sens. Always start from the smallest of movements and build up to bigger movements over time to ensure consistency in aim. Trying to improve too fast makes otherwise a great aimer an inconsistent one! Think of it as building a brick wall and if you don't do the foundations right, it will limit how high and stable you can build the wall to be.
that "aim lab"-tip was awesome - didn't know that - thank you very very much
Oh did you say anything, I was just watching the gameplay
Apex Legends does have a deathmatch mode... its called a game "Titanfall 2"... same exact game, same weapons (but R-301 is not there, and its an R-201), pretty much the exact same weapons as Apex Legends (before patch update, so the wingman, which is called wingman in titanfall 2, has 6 bullets without an extended heavy mag, and the rate of fire is the same before Apex Legends nerf of the wingman).... both games have the same exact abilities (but even more... hints for future apex legends to play, they usually relate someway to Titanfall 2 abilities!).... and its deathmatch, same game engine, same game settings, everything is the same. same company. The main difference between the 2 games is 1 has a single player campaign with different multiplayer modes and you can customize your abilities however it is lacking a battle royal mode. While the other is battle royal with specific legends to play that have specific abilities, but within the same universe/world. Both get updates different because they do have differences, like in titanfall 2, you have much more faster movement, you can ride on walls and double jump in air for extra speed, and you can wall hop/surf plus double jump to constantly increase speed.... thus some weapons that needed nurfing in apex legends do not need nurfing in Titanfall 2 because it is harder to accurately hit a faster target.
if your good a titanfall 2, you are even better at apex legends.... everything required for aiming and shooting and mechanics from titanfall 2 transfer over to Apex Legends, but made it easier by making enemies (and yourself) less agile.... titanfall 2 has a BIG learning curve, and to get the fastest speed possible requires A-L-O-T of skill and practice... im referring to the skill gap between a somewhat decent player compared to a professional player in terms of mechanical movement. (newbie to decent player is not as big of a gap, though a gap exists. it is easy to learn, but extremely hard to master) ..... pretty much the only advance thing in apex legends to learn for movement is bunny hop + healing the longest/fastest distance, which only has 2 techniques to accomplish..... but titanfall2 has this plus much more to learn in terms of advanced mechanical movements.
However if you go from Apex Legends to Titanfall 2, you might not be WORSE, but you will not be better... it wont make logical sense unless someone is very bad at shooting a slow moving target compared to a faster moving target... i'm sure there are a few weird oddball players who cant hit shit standing still but can hit shit all day moving around like a dog with his tail cut off.
