Another great pattern is Huntworth's HIDD'N - works even better than EDGE when it's rainy/wet outside, due to the darker grayer color palette.

    The only this wrong with these videos is taking into consideration the natural light. Taking a stock photo and placing it over a background doesn't really give a real life scenario as far as lighting, shadows and concealment.

    • @CamoMatrix
      @CamoMatrix  Před 2 lety

      You are correct. I cannot capture those things with the catalog photos. Plus the catalog lighting is different from piece to piece. I once tried to take a photo of the actual product, then compare it to the catalog and made filter adjustments to make them match which worked, for that one product only, so, I try to soften the brightness some but not manipulate the image to much. Hopefully it can narrow down the search but not be the definitive answer.

      @@zzz7zzz9 I agree. I have seen estimates that they see 20/60 but then watch deer run at and jump barb wire fences. Someone with that poor of vision would run into the fence first at the speeds deer run. The red receptive cone is true and lack of a UV filter is true but how that "really" looks and transfers to the deer's brain is truly unknown. Thanks for the comment. Looking relatively similar to the background, not moving and being quiet is the best camo.

      @@CamoMatrix what i've heard, is that deer's vision is poorest during the light changes, sun rising and sun falling.

When more than half the goal is to hide from liberal humans in the suburbs of the northeast while bowhunting, rather than the deer themselves, I need the most realistic woods pattern, realtree edge without question (even tho I would love to try those others out).
