How Spending MORE on a Gold chain will SAVE you money!

  • I often get customers who wish they would've gone up in size with their gold chain purchase so I wanted to make another video talking about this. I always recommend going up in size when purchasing gold chains/bracelets. The items look bigger on camera. Also, you might outgrow your piece and it's tough to get good value back for your gold item. Save up and go with what you really want! Thanks for watching.

    My first chain I bought from Jacoje was a 3mm rope. Initially, I wanted a 2mm and Braden said to go for 3mm and man am I glad I did! And he's absolutely right, you'll end up seeing that it is smaller than what you thought in videos. Super happy with my 3mm but now I'm grown in it and want 4-5mm lol

    100% agree, always go bigger! My first Jacoje purchase was the 3.5mm Franco, definitely seemed a lil smaller in person, I should have went with the 4mm…but still a great everyday chain! I recommend after showing the close ups in hand, show a 10-12 foot distant shot on neck. And it’s all love but definitely like these style videos over the vlog style. Keep killing it Jacoje!🔥🔥

      Good to know. I was eyeing the 3.5, but felt it was still too small for my body type. I had a 3MM Franco at one time, but it turned out way small. I am a heavyset person. Thinking of 4 or 5MM Franco.

    Great video. The camera does definitely play tricks! Some of those 1.5-2mm chains looked so much bigger on video. I’m a big guy but prefer the 2mm chain segment. My daily is 2mm Franco and/or a 3mm rope which is the limit for me. I like the subtleness.

      @@orangeslice316 good question. I have a 2mm plain franco and ended up getting a 3mm dc franco. I find myself wearing the 3mm the most. I wear my 2mm with a crucifix and my 3mm with no pendant. If you’re on the fence, I would go with the 3mm. I do like subtle chains and I found the 3mm is the perfect balance of showing the link detail while not being a large tube around my neck. @@dustinm7308 lol @ a large tube. Very helpful, thx for the context! Folks seem to regret the 2.5 or 2mm in your case. I'm also going for the subtle tucked in look and think the 3mm is the move. In videos, the jump up to the 3mm definitely shows the link details more. How big are you? I'm at 5'9" and around 180lbs.

      Yeah, I started late but thankfully, I did my research by watching a ton of videos. Last July, I bought my first chain! It was a 5mm 26in 14k dc Franco. I love it but, not even a full year later and I’m looking to upgrade. I was told if I upgraded to 18k before July, I’d get it for the difference($1000)! The second part to this is, I’m a lil older(43) and I feel like 28 inches is more my sweet spot BUT I like pieces with my chains, which means now I have to eventually drop more $ on an 18k piece to match! I tell myself that upgrading is just financially the smart move but as July hurdles near, I’m not so sure. Any advise?

    • @MansaX
      @MansaX Před 2 lety +1

      @@Jerzeejaylive 5mm 26in is a big boy. It's never a bad idea to upgrade to a higher karat. Depending on how you want them to look you could keep the 14k and just get the 18k and wear them simultaneously. Me personally I like to have mine the same length. In my experience once you get a few chains you'll wear the others less and less. Soo. They'll end up in a safe deposit box somewhere. I have a few figaros and curbs in mine and don't see myself ever wearing them again and that's the beauty of it. I have a graduate this year and I'll have a figaro cleaned and give it to my son. All of that being said in my opinion keep the 26in 14k and just get the 18k. 28in too. It's an addicting hobby and I highly doubt the 28in 18k will be your last. Hope that helps

Unless you wait years for the value of gold to rise you will lose money selling the old piece in the "upgrade" almost certainly. In the end you will spend more for what you wanted all along. That being said if you have no jewlery at all, a smaller 2-4mm daily starter piece is always nice to have and goes a long way.

    This is the quandary I have right now. I am dreaming about another chain. Circumstances beyond my control happened, and I had to unfortunately sell my only gold chain and pendant. Now, I am in the planning stages for my chain replacement. BUT I need help: should I go 4MM Franco at 20 inches or 22? Or should I get the 5MM Franco at 20 inches. Both will be 14 karat. I like the diamond cut, but I am leaning toward plain, because it’s more comfortable around the neck. Opinions? Thoughts?

Amazing for layers or double stacking. Take a look at my comparison videos too. Luckily I sold mine for a small loss.

Currently rose is my favorite but if I were to get yellow it would have to be 18k or 22k the same as yourself. That 4mm dc franco 18k its going to be a thing of beauty. I remember debating between a 14k 3mm franco or a 18k 2.5mm franco. I went for the 14k 3mm franco and I regreted. 14k franco are very weak in color as compare to his other 14k stuff. Then i bought a 18k 2.5mm rope and it was so much better but i still wasnt fully satisfy. I finally got a 18k 2.5mm franco and its beautiful. Not as rich yellow as my 18k franco bracelet but pretty close. So from experience dont get 14k francos go straigjt for the 18k they are the best!

    You're absolutely correct. IMO, anything under 4.5mm looks like a sliver and I can't reconcile paying $1500+ on a feminine mm. And that 4.5mm should be a rope, milano or frano for presence. Any Cuban link should be around 7.5+. A lot of videos really mislead the inexperienced because they think the small mm will look decent enough but it won't. You'll be looking to upgrade and most likely will take a loss.
