I have 2-tone solid 10kt Figarro chain and matching bracelet with white (I guess rhodium?) accents. Wear them every day, don't take it off to sleep/shower and they both still looks great 20+ years later. Am I just lucky or were these made more resilient in the early 2000s?

From what my jeweler told me was no unless it’s platinum, gold will become brittle with bleach and can lose diamonds or the set fingers. As for ocean water you can but good luck if falls off.

Great Advice. Make sure all claps and safety bars are tight and secure. I have a dear friend who lost an article of diamond jewelry once she came out of the water and back onto the Beach. It was never found. Also, for those of us who wear sterling, no pool water or sun tan lotion. It may turn it yellow or darken it.

I really don’t understand this video. If you want a chain with stones in it, the mooncut isn’t going to give you the same look. So you can choose a moissanite tennis chain or a diamond tennis chain. In either case the value is going to be almost entirely in the metal. If you spend $20k for a diamond tennis chain, you’re probably gonna lose $15k+ if you resell. If you buy a moissanite tennis chain, you’re gonna lose $1k at most. The look and durability is identical - What makes more sense? You’d rather waste $20k just so you can say your chain has real diamonds?

Best to leave your jewellery in bag or home when swimming or beach. Easy to lose when having fun & wet.
