NEW TO OUR CHANNEL? Watch this first: • How-to Saddle Hunt wit...
This is a very minimalist method for mobile saddle hunters. We are showing you exactly how we climb into large trees with minimal equipment, cost and effort.
This method may not be for everyone, but think of it as another tool in your arsenal. Please watch until the end as there's a lot of information on DRT climbing technique that we believe is one of the safest, quietest, least expensive ways to climb a tree for saddle hunting. I hope you all benefit from our technique. Please like and share with others.
Please remember that climbing of any kind is inherently dangerous. The DRT climbing method has been a standard in the arbor industry for 100 years. But remember It's only safe if you do it right. Ensure your knots are tied correctly and make sure you set every knot before you get off the ground. This is our method that we use in saddle hunting, but only do what makes you comfortable and do this at your own risk.
Feel free to comment down below with your questions, We'd love to help in any way we can.
Incredibly informative, hope you have a wonderful evening 💙✌
pretty awesome!
sweet
Hey I have a question about drt in wet conditions have you noticed any difference in the knots ability to hold in the rain or anything? Just curious
Dylan , weather makes no difference ! In Tree care if you didn’t climb in the rain you wouldn’t have a job for very long. These ropes are designed to perform in all kinds of weather. The only con Is descending on a wet rope is your hitch wrings the rope of water on the way down and since your hitch is a bit above you . Your gonna get wet. Your hitch when wet might feel a little tacky at times. It may take a little more effort to release on your descent. But it will hold just the same . Then only scenario I would avoid is rain followed by a deep freeze. Your rope will become very stiff making your descent troublesome. There are Ropes that are labeled Dry Ropes , their used in Canyoneering . Their pretty expensive but if the majority of your climbing takes place under wet conditions then it’s probably worth it !
@@NYSaddleHunter awesome thanks for the reply! Keep up the awesome work
Is there anything wrong with using wire carabiners (like a camp Nano) if I'm just using climbing sticks and advancing my safety line as a I go up?
Not for Life support. Yes easier but your life is worth a few seconds or dollars more
True. Thanks man! @@NYSaddleHunter
I was wondering if y’all had a inside with flat branch outdoors
Unfortunatly no we dont they stopped communicating with us back in like Feb- March .

Yes I have them both in stock the Petzl Gri Gri +. And CT Quickroll. I’m out of stock on the Sterling super static 9.5 rope You can do either application on this rope. Should be back in stock in 2 weeks
Good day. We're could I get in touch with you guys. Want to ask about ropes. Please
If your on Facebook you can hit me up on Facebook messenger , Or Instagram
Thanks I did send you a messenger
I have several of those carabiners. They are really good, BUT THIS FEATURE DISQUALIFIES THEM FROM EMERGENCY OR RESCUE USE.... just so everyone is aware.
Yes . Why I explained about depressing all the way so they autolock ! Do you use them or bad idea ?
@@NYSaddleHunter I do use them because they are an excellent product. I just thought it was important to let everyone know they are not rated for rescue because of the feature you demonstrated. One could easily unlock the carabiner without realizing it, or it might fail to lock when you want it to. That is why it isn't rated for rescue. If folks use these, they need to be aware of that issue.
@@340wbymag couldn’t agree more !
And scare that buck that is bedded 30 yards away.
This is a demonstration. I’m not trying to be quiet. Quiet has more to do with the individual, not their gear !
If you don’t perfect your style I don’t care what your hunting with . Your not going to be effective.
Do you know how I can get my money back from flatbranch outdoors ?? I used your promo code when I placed my order in December of 21 ??
Other than your credit card co. Helping you out . Not sure about this but all of you that were affected by Flatbranch .
You might be able to go after him with a class action suit which costs you nothing .
