Thanks Vincent, amazing amazing detail on this video. Really awesome to see the advantages of 240Hz OLED in motion clarity - which is really the next horizon in overall picture quality, especially for moving content. Actually seeing you trying out games and netflix and going into the pros and cons is super helpful. Hopefully this also helps prompt NVIDIA and Microsoft to get HDR working more seamlessly on windows games. I use a 55" C1 to play PC games on an RTX 3080 and the experience is a little bit finnicky - GeForce recording software doesn't work at all and when changing from HDR to SDR the screen input flickers several times. Also HDR looks washed out when playing Elden Ring and Halo Infinite. The display tries to use a weird 4096x2160 resolution resulting in a cropped image so you have to go in and remove that resolution output from the driver using a custom too, which you then have to remember to do every time you update your graphics drivers. haven't quite figured it all out yet.

For the first comparison all we can see the flicker from that distance. And I believe that flickering effect was related to the shutter rate of the camera. I am not convinced here as due to the distance of the shot flicker is the only thing we see, and can compare. If we had some zoom in maybe my opinion might have changed but for now to me the quality of them looks just the same.

It even had overheating issues for while that caused screen artifacting and blackouts i've never seen before until I pulled the whole thing apart and repasted the gpu, cpu, and heatsinks with thermal compound. I'm amazed but it has 0 burn in. With how I use it and leave it on, fall asleep with with it on and power setting not to turn off till 4 hours i'm honestly confused. I have a Sony A1E OLED 2017, I got on release which also has no burn in with heavy use including games, but peak brightness is set to medium which is more than what I need/ use anyways. My best guess is i 98% of the time us brightness levels between 20-50% which is why i haven't had issues even with heavy use and static images.

About a year and half ago, i was on the search for the perfect gaming laptop. I learned that most popular gaming laptops were ips or tn panels, and there were a total of zero oled options. But oled is amazing, and next to ips or tn, its impossible to spend that much on anything other than oled.
I settled with a "creator" laptop, the gigabyte aero 4k oled. The picture is perfect, but it's only 60hz, and 4k gaming on a 15" monitor is unnecessary.
1440p oled is perfect for that size and 240hz is just icing on the cake. I wish this woulda came out a few years ago..

I have MSI GE67HX with the reviewed 240Hz OLED and yes, 6 months ago WIndows 11 was messing up the colors (being washed out) in some scenarios. Today, I use HDR from desktop to gaming to watching SDR or HDR films, VLC now does HDR good. Only some games look washed out in HDR, but Doom Eternal, Cyberpunk, Battlefield 5, Everspace 2 look amazing. Crysis 1 remastered looks washed out.
For all HDR or SDR films I use SVP Project, and MPC-HC, and believe me, HDR films playing at 240 frames using interpolation on OLED looks just amazing.
Thank you for your work !!!! Greetings from Amsterdam _\|/_

Make a 27 inch version of this with black frame insertion capability, for much clearer motion at all framerates, and I'll happily spend good money on it.
240Hz is great, but it is next to impossible to run modern triple-A games at that framerate. I would use it for competitive eSports type games, but that's it. Besides PC games, I also enjoy many console games and this is another important consideration. I want 60fps games, and yes, even 30fps games, to have the best motion possible.
CRTs have the best motion for 30fps and 60fps games out of any of the displays I own. But my ViewSonic XG2431 IPS monitor, which offers backlight strobing at any refresh rate between 60fps and 240fps, is a very close second. This is why we need black frame insertion capability on OLED monitors. My LG CX has BFI and the motion resolution/clarity it offers is excellent, although it does lose too much brightness and color fidelity. It would be fantastic if an OLED monitor maker could give us user adjustable pulse width and other controls, in order to better dial in the motion quality/brightness trade off that suits our preferences.
