5:16 Let me introduce you to my favorite Halo Mexican meme
What he's saying is: El Pozole
Pozole is a Mexican dish that was invented at the pre-Columbian mesoamérica (now México), by the Aztecs (mexicas) and the meat they used then, was human meat from their enemies
The meme is, Elites love Pozole so much they berserk to death when they spot the master chief
It's usual to see elites welding a plate with Pozole in it in these memes
Like, how long would an elite survive if he doesn't get to eat his lovable Pozole? We don't now, for sure, but not so long...

What I love about the elites across all halo games (except for halo 4 and 5) is that:
Halo CE: because of their smart AI's that are, lean, fast, agile, aggressive, and combat skills during gameplay and their art style, colors of their ranks, and combat harness is fantastic.
Halo 2: because they're much more detailed, they serve as allies when you play as the Arbiter, they can dual wield, they are more interactive to the environment like they can take cover when they have taken too much damage, they can hop on ledges, they can hijack vehicles, they can stealth kill unexpected enemies, and they also speak english for the first time which makes them relatable.
Halo 3: because they fight along side with the humans.
Halo Reach: because they are more intimating, menacing, very tall and imposing, and more alien, and they are very smart, fast, agile, cunning, and aggressive during gameplay just like halo CE, and they have really fantastic armor combat harness depending on their ranks.
Halo infinite: because 343 finally learned their mistakes of over designing the elites from halo 4 and 5 and made the classic look of the elites from the bungie halo games like they made them look more lean, agile, sleek, smart, fast, and they made them look similar from halo 2 anniversary body wise and brought back the armor combat harness from halo reach.

@@greedyclown851 it's the most similar, most of the enemy designs are straight out of CE. Same with the sandbox design as it's the first Halo since CE to not have a designated utility weapon at spawn. CEs magnum was buffed in secret so it wasn't designed as a purposeful utility weapon. The world design is basically an expanded version of the second mission in CE.

    • @greedyclown851

@@daltonburroughs3811 I'm referring to style. halo 1 didn't have monkeys 'saying you weak I strong vanished blah blah blah' and had the flood. Which made it very foreign. Reach and 4 were closer in that sense. Even if it copied the 2nd mission it didn't with the rest, in which the rest of the franchise does fall in line with a lot. It copied the 2nd mission, but other games have snow levels, deserts or alien swamps by contrast, not anymore. Namely covenant themed levels aren't even possible because now their ENTIRE signature purple curvy technology doesn't even look theirs or even alien at all. It's pure metal blocks and shapes that can blend in with human or forerunner stuff. You can ocasionally tell it isn't due to stereotypical evil red accents. Their weapons especially took a toll with literal revolvers or harpoons, and the human weapons have very modern, non-2550 designs like the pistol, commando or shotgun wouldn't fit in line with CE's advanced, complex glowing guns. The marines are good but still from today, unlike CE's borderline robotic armors. Other huge difference is UNSC maps, in CE they look entirely other worldly and futuristic but now it's almost like they accidentally ported cs_italy. This breaks the science fiction atmosphere. And worst, cat ears and hologram flowers for spartans. You'll notice none of this points happen in 4/5 which should be enough proof that they were actually closer.

Obviously there's differences between them (Elite mandibles and Protoss ponytails) but the digitigrade legs with two toes, the hands with two fingers and two thumbs, and that slender, graceful look in their early incarnations... I'm sure it's because they drew from similar inspirations, but it is interesting to see how people are drawn to similar concepts for their inhuman species.

This is off topic, but it’s been annoying me for years. When Halo Reach was close to release, the official channel released a short video “How to Kill an Elite.” The video was about two minutes long and featured the player engaging in one-on-one combat with an elite in close quarters. The Elite’s ai was very impressive, dodging in and out of cover, reengaging the player at uncomfortably close distances. I believe that the Elite was finished off with a shotgun, but I am not entirely sure. I tried to find the video some time later (possibly even the same day), but the video appeared to have been taken down as quickly as it was uploaded. It would be so nice to see that video again, if only to know for sure that I hadn’t imagined it. I’m curious if anyone else remembers this? Anyways, great video!

I hope that once and if Infinite finally ya know gets a Second Wind or gets back in stride 343 eventually adds playable Elites back. I've heard people say a nice compromise would be to add some Fracture armor based on humans being part of the Covenant but ehhhhh. For me it'd be enough if they bring them back with a customization system like the one in Reach. I just want Elites back even if we barely get the same depth of customization as Spartans.
