  • We explain the German Suplex. ***Do not attempt this move unless you are in a real pro wrestling ring, and have been trained by a professional. Otherwise, you could easily be injured. This video is meant for reference only, and is not intended to replace real pro wrestling training.--

      It tells you not to use it unless in a pro wrestling ring. In addition, it tells you not to use it if you aren't training to become a pro wrestler because watching a CZcams video doesn't replace actual training. Lol. It's also a manner of ensuring that the channel cannot be held liable if someone gets hurt performing the move shown in the video.

      In other forms of wrestling, it's a way to score a pin. In professional wrestling, it can also be used a throwing attack without a pin.

  • @HowToWrestle
    @HowToWrestle  Před 13 lety +14

    @ShaolinDove Every wrestling ring I've ever seen has a steel frame with wood flooring, and then thin padding on top. I've heard some very old rings may have been made completely of wood. The flexibility of a ring like ours comes from the steel cross beams. So if you're in a ring that's all wood, built like a pool deck, it's going to be very stiff. I've seen a boxing ring built like that. So the steel framed ring will hurt less, unless there's a very stiff spring being used for support...-Keith

      Andy's Mad House That's true, but people will find any kind of influence to do something extremely ill advised. The lack of these kind of tutorials ruins it for us that have the sense to think of the dangers and possible outcomes of performing such moves.

    it's interesting that relased version is safer... it looks much more impactful than bridging, especially if the receiving person jumps high, and rolls face-down after bumping on their shoulders.

    A lot of people hit their heads or smash their face trying to German suplex. Your release version is good. For those trying to pin, if you don't have a good bridge, don't try it. Their body is supposed to break your fall. The Joshi wrestlers had great German suplexes. Their heads rarely touch the ground.

    Similar. Once you're behind the person: lift, rebend, arch back. The rebend must be very short, unlike the pro wrestling rebend where they are allowed to get back into a squat and really exaggerate the pop. If your opponent is off the ground enough you can just arch back. Trust the arch; your opponent should land before you. Lift, rebend (pop hips), arch, fall.

    @HowToWrestle Some smaller companies will use a wooden ring because it's cheaper than steel. I think they're made just like the steel ones, but with a wooden frame and wood cross beams. I would imagine they wear out a lot faster than steal, but I guess that's the sacrifice you make when you go for cheaper.

    @QatarnehChannel Well I once saw a video and it explained how, it said that they just barely tap each other and just to be safe they don't even completely close thier fists. As for the sound effects of the punch they jump really hard when they "hit" their opponent and it creates a punch sound effect. So if they jump in sync with their punch it looks real. Keep in mind though I just heard this in a video if you want I can give you the link to the video.

    @lyserko10 for starters bud, the part in the beginning that says "Do not try this at home" is not something you should take lightly. Unless you're properly trained you should not be attempting ANY of these moves.
    Second, as someone who is trained and uses HTW for guidance on other moves and to see how they set up their moves as well, I can tell you that the rings are made of thick plywood sometimes better wood and have a very thin mat covering the ring itself. Do not try this at home.
