Hey Robert, I just wanted to say thank you for being an inspiration and and an example for all sportsmen, especially to me. In 2019 at the age of 18 I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and had to endure six months of chemo therapy. I am now cancer free and healing well, during my treatment your videos were a huge inspiration and reignited the passion for the out doors my grandfather started in me years ago. Now this deer season I have finally got my first deer, and I am not sure it would have happened with out you. I just wanted to say thank you, your videos have meant more to me than you'll ever know. Rob, my wife and I love our babies and continue to lay and cuddle them every night even though they are 6 and 9. Since we rotate, I get my 6 years old daughter every other night. In August of last year she was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and we searched for videos to watch together while we learned about her new illness. We came across your channel and she absolutely fell in love with it. Every other night, we watch 1 episode of something and it's always her choice. In 1 year, it's always deer meat for dinner. Just wanted to say thank you. Your channel makes a difference. Also, she requests that you catch a huge shark soon. She also request you eat a horse, but I told her that's frowned upon HaHa.
My mom was very surprised when i told her that snakehead is abundant and a problem in some parts of the US. She grew up eating them in Vietnam and they're considered tasty. Thanks for sharing this taste test!

What's so cool about this channel and Rob is the fact that he just doesn't say somebody's name and that's it. Robert- My father and I fish on the Sacramento River above Colusa. We have fished the section from Colusa to Red Bluff for years. We had one Mercury and never again. Mercury- "Will it fire on the water?" That answer after 3 Years was "No". We bought a Yamaha, 90 Horse coupled to a Hamilton Jet, and never had a further issue. The engine is 20+ years old and still pushes our Alumaweld Flat Bottom up the river without trouble. Yahama Mamma!

We catch Northern Snakeheads up here in Maryland. Def a fish worth fishing for. Hell of a fight and hands down best fish i have eaten.
The ones down here on South Florida taste amazing as well. You wouldn’t guess it by how gnarly they look but best freshwater fish I’ve ever had.

@@gavinthompson983 I also live in Harford county! Just moved to Harford about a month ago from Baltimore county. I did alot of fishing in Dorchester county. In Cambridge off of rt 50. Apparently they are really starting to spread around the state even more. Heard they are starting to get pretty heavy in the gunpowder river from a guy I work with he just went out last week and caught a few along with some largemouth.

I have had all 3 and fully agree. Snakehead is the best hands down. Very white, firm and not fishy at all. Peacock in the past has been very good but last time I had it about a month ago it was also very fishy so I haven’t been eating it anymore not sure if it’s the time of the year or what. Largemouth bass has been pretty consistently good.

The Peacock Bass was brought in to this country by the Tropical Fish Trade and released into the wild by aquarists who found it growing too big for their fish tanks. Ditto the Oscar cichlid which you can now find all over Florida.

Lived in Los Angeles most of my life, a bit in Albuquerque, NM for college and I’ve always wondered what life would be like on the east coast.
