- A photo review of the games at this year's Partizan. It was another amazing show with incredible miniature art, creativity and fun. This is a longer video than usual, so sit back and enjoy the music...or turn the volume down to zero and put on a podcast instead!
Thank you to everyone who approached me to say hello and talk about this channel. Your feedback keeps me going and it really made my day to put a few faces to names.

Fantastic photos, lots of inspirational tables & figures, this is another one I had to watch on a big screen
Fantastic creative talent on display; thanks for sharing. And special thanks for showing some of my games (20:08). Mike
Excellent report! Your photo format makes it so much more easy to enjoy/take in the pretty tables and models!
Thank you. 😁
Thank you for doing this Big Lee and good to see you and Ray at the show. Always enjoy your reviews, you seem to bring out the best in the show games. You certainly did in our one El Caney 1898 - it looks very colourful and I didn't notice you do it as we were busy gaming!
Thanks Lee . Games I didn’t get to look around at after chatting while running mine
Great pictures Lee. Well framed and presented
Thank you for taking the time to photograph and share these games. It must have taken half your time up. Very special thanks for the VBCW pictures. I'm just starting that. (Another one!). Selling a lot of books on eBay to pay for it as well as down sizing the book collection. I've had some good use from them and a couple of classics in there.
It was great to finally meet you. Great summary of a great show.
Good to meet you too. Glad you enjoyed the pictures, it really was a great show.
Lovely looking games and really nicely put together video
Glad you enjoyed
OK, let's get my prejudices outta the way first...
Generally speaking, I don't love 'photo reviews'...I don't even like video footage with just a musical soundtrack. And this had zero spoken content.
However...I thoroughly enjoyed it. You managed to avoid the feeling of being 'forced' to look at a friend's holiday slide show with this video. I don't know how, but you did it.
Another plus was the spread of tables you managed to get in....
I have seen a few of these Partizan 24 reviews, but you got to games the others didn't. Good job.
It was also nice to see the footage bookended by games in 'the One True Scale'. 😂
On a similar note, although many of the 28mm games on 20'+ tables were heaving with minis, the thought occurred to me that though spectacular to look at, such games had obviously zero room for outflanking manoeuvre, or indeed anything but the most basic tactics. I often caught myself thinking, 'if they had chosen a finer scale they would have had a far better game'....but I suppose Partizan is as much showcase as games convention, and some of the miniatures were extremely well painted.
I was a little disappointed that you didn't have more time for, what was, from my previous review watching, for me, the highlight game... Bloody Omaha. The entire beach beautifully portrayed in 6mm. Outstanding job from Charles Roundtree.
One final compliment for your video. The captioning. In the absence of commentary this is even more vital and you did a better job than most do. You even included the scale, (it always annoys me when that's not given), well, most of the time. 😂 It saves the bother of spending half the time working out what you are looking at.
So, overall, given the nature of a photo review, you did an outstanding job here, well done, Lee.
I hope you had time to enjoy the show and your knees have forgiven you.
I wasn't sure where this was going at first 😄 but thank you for the great feedback.
@@MiniatureAdventuresTV As someone who spends some time and thought studying history, I'm sure you are aware of the importance of understanding the inherent biases of source material.
😊
The benefit of the musical overlay is it is less distracting than those that have live commentary which have a din in the background!
Lovely. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for putting this together Lee, some nice close up shots of the games. Looks like a successful show!
Cracking video - I wonder what the collective hours must be of painting all those figures and making so many models??
Thank you for working on this and sharing!
Thank you for sharing!
Great video looks like a show some great games and tabs as well 🤠🤠🤠👍👍
The games were top-notch.
Thanks for including my Delivering Piedmont 1796 game .
You're welcome. Top quality all round.
Cheers for the coverage Lee, great to see you again mate 👍
Good to see you too. You looked like you had a busy day. It was a very well attended show.
Thank u.
Forgive a noobe, but what were those hexagonal tiles?
Various companies make hexagonal tiles that can be clipped together. Kallistra make some, as do other companies.
You gave up on the 4k download?
Lol...I think my computer would have melted.
