They were kept only strong enough to defeat former younglings and half trained padawans, not fully trained knights and masters because Sidious didn't want them to become a threat to him. He was still having issues with the Inquisitors in a one on one, but Ahsoka was mopping them in Rebels in one on twos.

The idea behind the Inquisitorius Program was actually quite ingenious. Corrupt surviving Jedi, train them in the Darkside and set them lose to kill other Jedi. If they succeed then that is one less Jedi in the Galaxy, if they fail then that is still one less Jedi in the galaxy and one slot which could be filled by another Jedi survivor. Essentially palpatine turned the Jedi survivors against each other, while he and Vader rule the galaxy.

Palpatine cant just stop force users from.being born but he can make it damn near impossible for them to train. I guess I like an alternate version of the original trilogy where Vader is long gone, Palpatine is still clinging to life but he's at the end and he knows that if his latest apprentice isnt ready, they'll lose everything because I cant imaginethe Jedi and especially Yoda would not form some kind of limited contingency plan.

@@geordiejones5618 Yes! Your theory is actually tied to one of the main foundation of the entire Star Wars Universe : "The Force always try to balance the galaxy."
The Force is a supernatural phenomenon that don't favoritize either the dark side or light side. It's only natural that both sides will be simultaneously rise and fall.
At first, the Galaxy ruled by Jedi, but they later became corrupt, leading the Sith to come back in the form of Palpatine, after that the Galaxy ruled by the Dark Side, but the Dark Side progress too fast it broke the balance, leading to the return of the Jedi in the form of the Skywalkers, but then, the Light Side also progress too fast on purging the Dark Side, leading to another intervention such as Yuuzhan Vong.

There's something so powerful about the way in which both Ahsoka and Obi-Wan resolve both duels without even as much as hesitation. The Inquisitor design though? Actually scary, much more even than the Grand Inquisitor. That said, he never stood a chance. Who's Ahsoka Tano? Veteran of the Clone Wars, Anakin Skywalker's apprentice, fought and learned with the likes of Masters Yoda, Obi-Wan, Mace Windu and Ploo-Koon, served alongside with the 501st, defeated Maul in single combat... what did this guy think was gonna happen?

That, along with being a Togruta, and the many experiences in her life (rescuing other padawans, and a Wookie).... unlike many other Jedi, she now refuses to be taken by surprise, in any situation.

Anakin's brutal training regime taught her what it would take to survive under the Empire, atop which she became THE Jedi thorn in the Empires side after a while. Anakin must have been so proud, even while the most Vader felt was a grudging respect.
The one thing I would say is that we know many Inquisitors were corrupted Jedi who Fell after torture by the Sith Empire. We'll never know this Inquisitors history, but he could easily have been one of them. Although, given the way she dodged his strikes, shut down his lightsabre and then killed him with his own weapon? He'd never completed basic training, so who knows.
Also, you can tell this is very soon after the Empire rose to power because the young man turned Ahsoka in for a reward-and even the father knew what a fool the boy had been. The whole farm is ruined and ablaze, the two of them have been tied up and are clearly about to be butchered and the Inquisitor is a madman, at best, yet when Ahsoka actually arrives? The son still wants a reward for his actions-and only doesn't get cut in half because Ahsoka saves his life.

Ahsoka wasnt a Jedi master However... she was very strong with the force. She was unorthodoxly trained by Anakin unlike other padawans. She had regular Jedi training and all the unusually hard training that Anakin put her through. She was in some of the toughest battles during the clone wars with Anakin and Kenobi and probably had more battle experience than some of the Jedi masters of that time. She fought and won against Maul. This Inquisitor may have terrorized some padawans or weak Jedi knight but he was no match for Ahsoka. Thats why she beat him like she was just swatting a fly.

I’d argue that Ashoka should be minimum Low tier Jedi master-High tier Jedi Knight at the Vader fight in rebels. So the fact she goes down to being bested by what is most likely a mid-high tier Jedi Knight seems wrong. But that’s just my personal opinion

Ahsoka is a Jedi Knight and Master in deeds and experience, if not in the title. She has been trained since almost before she could walk. She was brought in as a youngling by Jedi Master Plo Koon and assigned by Grand Master Yoda as a Padawan learner to Anakin Skywalker. Her training and experience were forged during the Clone Wars, and she fought in its most significant battles. In addition to being taught and mentored by the greatest Knights and Masters of the Jedi, she was a Commander in the Grand Army of the Republic and served with Clone Captain Rex of the 501st Legion. She fought in, out, and behind enemy lines throughout the war. By the time of her match with this puny Inquisitor, she had already fought in the Siege of Mandalore against Darth Maul, who uses a double-bladed lightsaber. She is one of the last surviving Jedi Knights at this time. She could have force-choked him out and crushed him instantly if she wanted. It was not a contest, nor should it have been.

To be fair, the Jedi Order as we knew from was a far cry from what it once was.
To where *true* Jedi like Qui-Gon were considering outcasts from the Order that was so fuddled up with politics.
So she’s technically right, since she’s not one of the Jedi of an order that lost its way ultimately destroyed in Order 66.

To be honest, the absolute joke that is the inquisitors performance actually kind of makes sense. Most of them come from jedi, most of which weren't exactly 10 for 10 anyway, and their job is to hunt down the survivors of order 66. They do that job very well, finding jedi throughout the galaxy, and in the likely event that Team rocket over here can't deal with them, they just need to keep finding and failing till Darth Vader shows up, kills the jedi, probably kills at least 1 inquisitor for incompetence and leaves. Surprisingly efficient system, you get dead jedi, and hopefully better inquisitors through survival of the fittest.

I love how ashoka doesn't even flinches, she was trained by greatest jedis of all time, she has trained with people who fought numerous sith lords. So this right here was nothing but a small inconvenience. I totally love the idea of her owning any inquisitor cause you can't fight against a person who trained at the time of republic and killed 100 droids daily. At the end of the day she is a jedi and not just any jedi, a jedi who was trained by THE anakin Skywalker and she fought alongside with greatest jedis like obi wan kenobi.
