- Is Cyber Dragon a good deck to play? I think so. This is one of the coolest archetypes in the history of yugioh. The deck itself isn't amazing however it fits in a rouge category. It is explosive and has a lot of OTK potential. Cyber dragons RULE.

I came back to yugioh about 2 weeks ago & was trying to make a meta cydra deck, was so confused why i couldnt find Clockwork night on master duel xD... didnt realize it isnt always up to date with the TCG

I really like this deck a lot. I have found a way to make it good in local tournaments and still feel "Cyber dragon" and it is with spright. So going first is not so painful and you can have infinity, regulus, spright sprind and the overflow set that buys turns. It is a very fun deck and everyone should give it a try
i saw some decks with the spright were pretty good! But now Elf is banned right? So wouldnt that kill the deck
@@nostalgicnighthawk Yeah, the elf is a big hit, but to mitigate that hit I now have to run more spright in the main. I run 3 Blue and 2 Jet (Jet search a spright magic/trap) the truth is that magic that I add with jet is only to discard it with a chimera xD. It's a good deck, maybe at some point I will make a deck profile

If you have multiple Viers on the field their atk buff STACKS, not always useful, but it can be very helpful in a pinch (especially with limiter removal or other buffs)

You totally play Cyber dragonz in 2023-2024 because it is a very nostalgic deck that has a lot of support and me personally love this deck

Interesting deck list. I'm sure from a purely meta standpoint, raigeki and change of heart could be replaced by better options, but hey, its got nostalgia value for ya so I won't complain there. Though I have seen deck lists recommending dark hole over raigeki and even lightning storm and evenly, something about a monster your opponent can summon to your board to lock you out of special summons, so dark hole can get rid of it and your opponents monsters. Something to consider, not as iconic as raigeki but still pretty up there in terms of nostalgia. Another thing, I'm not too sure about the super poly. Sure if you draw clockwork night and super poly, its great, but if you just draw super poly, then its a bit of a brick. Not completely but idk, I'd probably replace it with cyberdark fusion (I think is the name) which is a card that searches a cyberdark monster, and lets you immediately summon it. It can be searched with cyber emergency and is great for Power bond strats.
yea there are flex spots in the deck! I personally like those but there are better meta options.
I used to have dark hole also but then dropped it for other cards. But now that makes sense because of cards like Iblee. I started facing that in Master duel and it messed me up!
Superpoly does seem good on paper but like you said, I do think it can lead to more bricky situations. Might be worth testing out but we will see how it does
@@nostalgicnighthawk I now know that you can simply run Linguriboh (notice the g, linguriboh, not linkuriboh) in your extra deck and then you can play raigeki with no draw backs. Plus its nice because it lets you abuse your opponent controlling monsters to summon cyber dragon, jizukiru into fortress, etc. and then raigeki them. Linguriboh can also tribute itself to negate a trap activation or something like that I believe so it has value on board as well

@@nostalgicnighthawk you summon linguriboh using knightmare corruptor iblee. It just lets you get out of iblee lock without sacrificing anything and getting a decent-ish monster out of it
I like how you think about the deck and your thougths made me to pick up this deck again to play with my friends . I'm also considering my self as a casual player but mostly playing againts current meta due to their mindset

Yes, you should. The thing about Cyber Dragons is that no other deck has as much access to not-targeting non-destruction removal the way CyDras do. Jizukiru into Fortress, Jizukiru into Infinity eff to attach it as material, Clockwork Night into Fortress, Eltanin eff, on top of that, another new card coming out soon called Duality is LITERALLY just a Metamorphosis to turn CyDra or Galaxy Soldier into Rampage to fuel your GY and Rank 5 plays. It's just busted honestly. In my opinion the only reason CyDra isn't a more successful deck is because a vast majority of people playing it are inherently bad at the game and/or playing the deck. It's a rather skillful deck because you need to manage your GY levels for Overflow, use Nova's effect to summon Herz so you can attach it to Infinity to detach it the next turn to get Herz's effect off, lots of effect, GY, and banish management goes into playing the deck well.
Also, it's worth noting that End is actually really easy to summon if you run the Power Bond engine because Chimera lets you use stuff in your GY as Fusion material and everything in the GY counts as "Cyber Dragon".

I love this deck as a kid. Never care much what people said whether its good or not😂😂😂
I've been rewatching this since it was kinda late or early debending on how you frame it, but in regards to the evenly matched... as I said in the last comment, get the structure desks! Traptrix coming late february actually has a copy of evenly matched as well as Raigeki and Featherduster.
And since I said I would play it a little bit differently ( screw the meta ), I like to play Gizmek cards such as Gizmek Kaku, Okami and especially Gizmek Yata since he is a level 5 machine light with special summon potential like all Gizmeks. Kaku works like another fortress dragon in some ways and Okami is a field wipe for extra deck monsters.
But to be fair, I will make a second variant of the deck where I actually use Clockwork. ;)

I tried gizmek in cyber darks but didnt like it too much. Its GOOD tho.
I play it without the cyber darks and yes, they are not doing soooo good, but every time they come out with a boom, it's a highlight end I enjoy those moment.
At the end of the day, that is what matters :D

Thanks for sharing your deck profile! Please, I didnt get how Rivalry of Warlords along with Clockwork locks my opponent, if all his monsters became machine, he only controls 01 type of monster and wouldnt be affected by Rivalry.
i had little trouble with this too, so clockwork makes everything on the field machine, rivalry makes it so they can ONLY control one type of monster which HAS to be machines.
If someone plays a monster other than a machine type, it doesn't become a machine until it is on the battlefield. So if you opponent has a monster already on the field they cannot summon any monster that isnt a machine because the type doesnt get changed until that card is on the field.
I explain it better in some video XD but hope that helps

I stopped playing CD when Verte got banned.
Clockwork almost got me to pick the deck up again, but I don’t think it’s enough to get it back to the level it was on.
Hopefully Konami gives CD the support it needs someday.

Power bond into end dragon is the jankiest OTK of CyDras. No protection either implicit or explicit. At least Rampage and pop backs
yea End is not ideal but it feels SOO good when you do it. Def not competitive enough but fun

I used to play hero's and my brother cyber dragons back in the day. Lost our cards tho. He out of the blue built himself a hero deck (pissed me off) so Im playing Cyber Dragons now. I want built a deck. What's the most effective way to build one? Would it be to buy 3x structure deck and buy individuals from unicorn cards or eBay or is there a better way? How would cyber dragons size up to my brothers optimal Omni heros or my lil bros Branded Blue-Eyes which is just as good as omni heros?
haha! The roles have reversed, I would just buy individual cards, much cheaper. I would use TCGplayer or Troll and Toad as the website. That is where I buy most of stuff off of. Cyber drags is pretty explosive. I cant say how good they are in all match ups but you can add specific tech to deal with those decks. I think its worth a shot building since cyber dragons is quite adaptable too

@@TheSliferSlacker199 insaneee prices def came down. I was checking the other day and you can get some LP copies ungraded for like 500-600. If they drop to like $300 I think I need to get a third copy of cyber drag. I mean it cheap now but still a lot of money.
What are your targets for super poly? I feel like a majority of the time the monsters opponents use never work out for it whenever I have tried.
in this deck its really only Eternity dragon. I might just take that card out. I was messing around but there like not reason for it. Mudragon would be a great extra deck card for this.

Cyber dragon to this day is one of the better going second decks….. it’s a shame it’s a nuclear arms race to build boards full of negates. Wish Konami actually made like a meta going second deck

Please can somebody explain me the clockwork night and rivalry of warlords lockdown combo? How does it work so my opponent cannot summon anything?
I will try to make it simple to explain:
Basically, a monsters type doesnt change to a machine until it enters the battlefield. If opponent controls a monster, it is a machine by clockwork, and can only be machines with rivalry.
Clockwork makes it so all monsters are machines.
Rivalry then makes it so opponent can ONLY control machines.
If both of these cards are out and someone has a monster on the field, no other monsters can be summoned unless it is a machine type since they already control a monster with that specific type.
Technically the monsters do not become machine until they are on the field so if an opponent tries to summon a Fiend type (for example) and they already control a monster, that Fiend type cannot enter the field since it is not a machine.
I hope that clears it up.

Any update to the Branded CyDra deck?
i decided to scrap it because I wanted a more pure bread build! I ended up making a branded red eyes build but I did the same thing, I just converted it back to a pure red eyes. I think branded cyber drag is def more competitive but i like keeping it old skool

for lowest rarities is can be super cheap. I posted a budget deck from a few months ago. i will try and post an updated one this month. I think under $30 is possible. Wont be super competitive but def can get almost all the pieces.

pulled it from a pack! Also i spend a LOT of money on cards, but id rather spend it on cool arts or rarities. I dont like spending money on new meta cards that just get phased out in a few months.
Why would you not run three copies of machine duplication if you are running three copies of original Cyber Dragon
only running 2 og cybers atm and I dont think machine dupe is that good. When it works its AWESOME but it needs one of the baby cyber drags on the field and its an absolutely dead card otherwise. Especially since we have clockwork now, having both of those spells has some anti synergy. I also added a vier too which is another card that pumps the machines so machine dupe becomes less good.
My main strategy with this deck can summon twin or rampage pretty easily and consistently with the chimera being able to search power bond. Its a fairly consistent 1.5 card combo (assuming you arent playing against the super meta decks)
If I drop the 3 machine dupe, i can add 3 more cards to support that combo. Clockwork open up a lot more opportunities than machine dupe IMO.
Sad though cuz machine dupe is fun to play
@@nostalgicnighthawk sorry I thought I saw 3 og. But if running 3 core, 2 to 3 herz, and 2 nachter, that's 7 to 8 targets. That's 17.5% to 20% of your deck as targets. And if you consider how many search cards you have it can easily be done
