New school was great with they top rock but old school killed them with some percise bottom rock, they floor game was crazy 🤪

Old dudes have so much more style. Tighter footwork more willing to hit a power move. New schoolers was good here too though, way better than a lot of younger dancers that just rely on shuffling and wont touch big moves. I cant even watch a lot of new schoolers but these guys was good.

I am 57 and remember being in Dallas on Park Lane and Greenville breakin on the corner with a cardboard box laid out. I won a few break dance contests in my day at the clubs. Good old days.

One thing I noticed that changed is "new school" seems to be scared of doing ground work. The new moves seem to be just staying on your feet bouncing around in comparison to "old school" doing most of their moves using their whole bodies on the ground and then bouncing up to win every challenge 😀 👍 😉 #1974

as a kid growing up in 80s and parents wanna know why i had holes in my jeans on my knees and my bottom of pants be all raggedy lol. best music era, roller skating rinks were hoppin and the dance rooms we're holding best battles and now I see it I'm glad I was a bboy kid cuz I like to dance and weddings give me a reason to dust off my shoulders lol. 47 I can still foot step pretty well on knees and my baby wind mill still spins . I'm blessed lol now my kids are learning 4 and 11 and I still listen to the beats

The New School just looked gangly and clunky compared to Old School. Flow and rhythm and creativity always win out over anything. A lot of the young ones just looked awkward and cocky.
