I'm 51. I was one of the top break dancers on Staten Island in the 80s. Linoleum and Armour All is how we rolled. These guys absolutely put me to shame I must admit. Their moves are extraordinary and works of a professional gymnast. Planet Rock was the #1 break dance jam hands down. Wish I could re-live those days again with my childhood and teenage friends. Kids now will never experience the connections we all had with each other. Glad I lived to experience those times.

No bro they dont put you to shame because if it was not for you they would not be doing what they do. There moves come from you and the other brothers out of New York. You are the originator you did not use gymnastics or anything else it was raw talent and creativity!! You all took something from nothing and look where it is now!!

I was astounded and almost in tears (okay, maybe I was) when I heard the first rap song on the radio as I was in college. I said, "Wow! The music from my hood Made it!" Just turned 51 and I grew up with this music on 92 WKTU New York. Where has the time gone? I try this now and I'll throw out a hip or break my neck. Hahaha Excellent video and mix.

These were the safest battles of the 80's. Wished the generation we living now was about this. Today is guns, knives, any hard object that can hurt when it comes to battles.

I was so inspired by N. Y. Dancing and the movement I went full force in So. California in the 80’s. Much respect for them.
