I am 54, grew up in Queens NYC. I remember the Dynamic Rockers from Queens Bridge that went to school with and other crews. I worked Roller Park on Queens Blvd / Lamour's East / Dancin .
In the 80s, this was the absolute essence of who I was. These dudes here would SMOKE me in a battle, and you too, and everyone you knew back then. 😂 And if you see an ASIAN enter a breakin' battle, it's over!! LOL I'm 50 now, and proud to say that I'll be a B-Boy in my heart and soul until the day I die!!! 💓
Anyone of these dudes would have smoked all the best crews in NYC,a one man crew. But there had to first be a blueprint and we Bboys of the 80’s provided that.without this blueprint it couldn’t have reached these levels!Keep on rocking 80’s B boys!
I'm 68 and I was in them streets when this stuff was rocking. I was in Seoul in the 90's in Itaewon clubs hanging with K-Pop groups because my daughter danced in their videos.

Loved it, i remember vividly when i first busted my mills and kept it flyin... I had to check with someone else if it really was the windmill, because it didnt feel like it looked from just seeing it be done... Love the days...

Winner of the dance off had the juice. Breaking now, breaking then and breaking for life. Good seeing youngsters doing it today.

Born in ‘69. We had better clothes, cars, music, clubs, nba and all that but these kids are light years ahead of where we were. Props to no end
47 and missing those old school days carrying a boom box, tapes, card board and the gang just peeling it wherever we could, Hollywood-Sunset-Hollywood Bl, LA-Downtown Broadway, East LA, Olvera Street and anywhere people were cool watching us breaking out and making enough to catch a bite at our favorite eateries.
Thank You JAMES for putting this together.
Beat Box music alright
Missing my getto blaster. Only white girl on the west side. Especially that knew the DNS CONNECTION. AND HAD A GETTO BLASTER. GOOD TIMES WHERE SIMPLE 😉😅😉

You brought me back to my youth! I'm 48 years old and man I feel like breakdancing again and other dances in between. But you didn't have to end it with art of noise! This is what we need in music today bring back the classics and show these young people this is What and where hip-hop come from. Educate the culture and they will follow!
I’m 42 and I’m still in awe!!!

That was our period, how in hell could I not click on this? Such an incredible time and period in my life. Rap and Hip-hop turned everything on its ear and came through like a Mack truck. We are blessed to have lived that part of history and still living to tell the story. God Bless

Me too.😀
If you lived it you get it
I'm 52 and this took me back for awhile , remembering how good it was to grow up when this began, and witness first hand the warriors that showed their awesome talent to the world. I've loved this whole scene since 1980 up to writing this comment and everything in between .... With my cardboard out in the street, and my badass boombox. Blasting all the Tommy Boy greats, Sugar Hill, Whodini, etc, etc. Much love to all Hip Hop , B- Boys, artists and fans alike.
This NEVER gets OLD🔥
Brilliantly stated words right there. LUH-OVE it So happy to see other epics exist - on the BEAT evertime it does not, will not ever get old YEP YEP! 🎶
And it never ever will 💯🎶
Today my father got his 70 th birthday.........He danced to that in the 80s :D

the headspin at 5:00 to freeze was just unreal. I have never seen that done with such precision. Truly Amazing shit.
So proud of the B Boys of today! Continuing and evolving B Boyism to the art it is today!😊😮. I remember Breaking, poppin' and lockin' when I was growing up in the 80s. What a beautiful great era to come of age! I was in a crew called The Dynamic Rock Force. So much fun and friendly competition. DRF! Keep the spirit and tradition of B Boyism alive, future generations!😊👍🏼✊🏼👍🏼🫡💯
Early 1980's, simply the greatest! Enough said.
My brother I’m 44 youngest of 7 still remember this like it was yesterday at home the youngest couldn’t say anything but listen to the music and breakdance with my brothers and sisters awesome time 👍
This song helped define Break dancing for the masses outside of NEW YORK. What a time to be alive in the culture. I'd pay to go there and visit those great days in Hip-Hop! ✌️✊
I'm 55 and this is what we were doing back then I remember those sweet days ,I was in a dance group boy we had a blast!
I miss these days walking in the streets of NY and watching these great dancer do there thing in the streets
I am 54, grew up in Queens NYC. I remember the Dynamic Rockers from Queens Bridge that went to school with and other crews. I worked Roller Park on Queens Blvd / Lamour's East / Dancin .
Fun times back then. L'Amours rocked back then, and Speaks out on Long Island.
In the 80s, this was the absolute essence of who I was. These dudes here would SMOKE me in a battle, and you too, and everyone you knew back then. 😂 And if you see an ASIAN enter a breakin' battle, it's over!! LOL
I'm 50 now, and proud to say that I'll be a B-Boy in my heart and soul until the day I die!!! 💓
Haha.. Well said!
WEPA...enough said , good old Bronx B-Boy / B-Girl days . Shout out to 144 St.Willis Ave. , 138 St. ( Mitchell Houses), Brook Ave. .
Anyone of these dudes would have smoked all the best crews in NYC,a one man crew. But there had to first be a blueprint and we Bboys of the 80’s provided that.without this blueprint it couldn’t have reached these levels!Keep on rocking 80’s B boys!
Angel Rosa Remember we used to think those Nike two-toned track suits were the height of fashion, and actually they were
You ain't never lied...Miss those days but these boys NOW...INCREDIBLE...
I'm 68 and I was in them streets when this stuff was rocking. I was in Seoul in the 90's in Itaewon clubs hanging with K-Pop groups because my daughter danced in their videos.
This song brings back soooo many memories of the love of my life. He did just like these guys and I loved watching every minute of it. It brings tears to my eyes. Absolutly amazing. Has followed me my whole life. Still to this day same feelings for him. I love you Joe Rico.

Back then all these people were built different. Everybody now a days has brain fog from the coronavirus, we today are not the same. Take me back to the 80’s
52 years and still listening to this clasics,we need a good movie in netflix about this.
So true. Our childhood was the best. Kids don't know anything about this

59 with some serious chills and goosebumps. Better check my medicine cabinet like ah coming down with that funky stuff from the young days. This is old school . 2022 and beyond. 😊
Back in the days when we used to hang out in the corner I remember this we used to practice break dancing who thought it would come to be around the rich all over around the world it ain't a poor thing it ain't a ghetto thing it's a nationwide thing who said dancing from the ghetto can never move up in the rich land around the world God is good always
I cant imagine doing these types of moves in the 80s, minds would be blown.
I’m 53. And my boyfriend and BMX, a BMX cycler. It was so crazy and also when they went everybody watched karate kid that was also in the category gotta love the 80s back in the day was a break dancer 🎉
I'm 50 now. Grew up with Breaking. When we had fights at schools the knives and guns were put down. It was Red vs Blue. Not Bloods and Crips but blue and red windbreaker jackets. Winner of the dance off had the juice. Breaking now, breaking then and breaking for life. Good seeing youngsters doing it today.
it feels so wierd to know i used to get cardboard boxes to break when i was a teen at 49 yrs old now lmao...these guys are insane!..you have to be in top shape to do this stuff
Yup. And I am a little older. 🤫

When music was music
These were the safest battles of the 80's. Wished the generation we living now was about this. Today is guns, knives, any hard object that can hurt when it comes to battles.
I was so inspired by N. Y. Dancing and the movement I went full force in So. California in the 80’s. Much respect for them.
