I don't know if the Jussens are angels or demi-gods, but they are certainly not merely human!
Actuallly, these virtuos are not demi-gods. They are two very accomplished muscians who happen to play piano. Angels are pure Spirit..... and God being God is infinite nand is the only One true God.
As always, the Jussen brothers' performance was well-practiced... with their own theatrics...!
I can't say that I liked Fasil Says piano concerto but credit to the brothers and orchestra for their performance.

The more I listen to this piece, the more I like it. And I can’t help wondering what it takes to remember all this complicated music. Rarely see them with music score on stage these days. Truly phenomenal 🎉🎉🎉
Startling! L&A OWN this composition now! Their energy and commitment is, as ever, amazing, but their ability to read one another as they do takes a contemporary piece like this... a minefield of rythmic shifts and dynamics that could come unstuck if they were not thinking as one... and makes it a thrilling whole and impossible to forget. We need them in modern serious music, which I sadly note still gets regularly 'backhanded'. Bravo! The brothers are much more as musicians than masters of four hands ( Oh, and let's give it up for a conductorless orchestra who also 'killed it'. )

I think I heard the Jussens play another Say work( which made me an instant Say fan )ages ago (from memory, "Night"?) which I believe this fascinating Turkish composer wrote just for them. I really enjoyed this present work too. If you like Say's work look for "Four Cities" performed by brilliant South Korean teenager- friends, Jaemin Han ('Cello) and Yunchan Lim (Piano) and also available on CZcams.

Actually, that’s a great suggestion. I like it well enough as a concert work, but I could see it being a fantastic ballet score!

Wonderful, blazing performance of a complicated and intricate score. I just happened on this video by chance (being a fan of the Jussens) and found it completely rivetting--it could have gone on another hour and I would not have stopped listening. So I guess I will just have to listen to it again and again.

This is more like jazz music , not as piano concerto . As jazz is pretty good .
Remarkable - also a principled stand to perform Says music (which is on no understanding "simply awful") after his cancellation for not drinking the cool aid over the Israel/Gaza savagery.

This music is simply awful. After the first 5 minutes I had to switch off. Brave of them to attempt new repertoire. The composer should feel very honored that his music was performed by them.
They played pieces of Say before.
