Or a mini-series, a la Netflix or the like. The best books are the ones that make you ask, "What would I do in this situation?" This is such a book- it's relatable. The premise is not at all farfetched, and is a real possibility. Makes you think.
I really appreciate this series. As a prepper i try and think of different situations my family and I might be faced with should it all go south someday. You've given me a few more things to ruminate on as i listen to how this community reacts to the situations they are in. I really look forward to book 5. Thank you.
I love the emphasis on the importance of the 2nd amendment while we aren't in and EMP apocalypse it's still very applicable to us because yes you are very correct the bad guys will always have guns and so why shouldn't we? As a independently minded person relying on only on government/police is not a great decision. Remember the founding fathers fought a tyrannical government who wanted to take there arms so Remember its all about power. Anyway great apocalypse book.

I just finished Chaos Collides. WOW. I feel like I can relate so much to the main characters as far as train of thought goes. I personally have a surplus of non perishables, water stored, solar lights, weapons, and ammo, for the "just incase the world collapses" kind of moment. With the way everything is going right now, I just find it comforting to be prepared. I can wait for the next book!
I find your books are more realistic to what would happen “IF” this would happen. Normal humans doing whatever necessary to survive. I find out if I stay a gray man and keep my business to myself no one comes looking to me for anything. I’m in a small town very rural with about 20 homes in my block. There is only two that are like minded like we are and the rest gets “OPSEC” security measures. Always looking broke helps with this aspect of “gray man” and deters those from asking ! My obligations are to my family first , then two neighbors next. All others will NOT be approached with kindness …….
I think one of the things I like best about this series is that people's reactions are realistic. Even when the characters are doing things that I personally wouldn't do in their situation, they feel like the sorts of mistakes that normal people would make. Very exciting so far! Can't wait to see how things go in the next book.

I work dark to dark and I listen to audio books while im operating my machine and I watch all the good movies and this will be one for the books you have something here for the big screen and it will draw everybody in and I mean everybody at that I love it and you'd be dumb not too get this into a movie keep up the good work cant wait till book 5 your amazing
I listen while driving as well. While I'm not a truck driver, I drive quite a bit for work. This book / series makes all of those hours in the car and the traffic sort of enjoyable. I almost look forward to the longer drive times because it means I'll have time to actually listen to and enjoy, a good chunk of this series. Safe driving Jay!
This weekend I listened to all four of these books . For the second time. I think it's an amazing story. I had to break myself from the story to do anything else.

Oh my word that was SO tense 😳. I have enjoyed listening to all 4 books, I hope there will be more and would happily pay to hear them. I have had long Covid for a year so not able the concentrate enough to read a book, having an audio book being read so well has been a joy. I am going to see if I can find anymore of your audiobooks. Book 4 was great! I really love your style of writing when it comes to SHTF genre. Some writers make their characters run into new trouble every chapter and it gets old. Some writers would of made the bus depot overran with a gang and would of taken the mechanic hostage causing Alex (an engineer) to go rescue him or something completely ludicrous. You don't do that and I appreciate it. You don't add a lot of "fluff" to your books like some do and again I appreciate that. You're a fantastic writer. Thanks for the read and can't wait until #5!

What a fabulous series of books. Realistically logical and well scripted action scenes. I belive anyone who has listened will have taken note as a learning experience of how to handle situations if they should ever arise and relative to them. The big takeaway from this is to keep food put away and also cache multiple sites off site if you can. There are videos on how to cache securely on grey bearded green beret videos. Well done Christine, you have written a first class story.

Having said all that I love the books as well as the pandemic ones. You’re one of the better gun/apocalypse authors I listen to. Keep it up

This 4-book series could be condensed into one good book. Otherwise you can divide it into 4 by contents: One book for recaps and flashbacks, one book for feelings and "what if" thoughts, one book just about food, and one last book that contains the actual story. - Alex's thoughts are clearly not that of a man. - Melissa's chapters after book 1 are just drawn out, you can skip thru and get the gist of it by stopping for a few seconds. - This book series solidifies the concept that you won't find a good apocalyptic tale on the Lifetime channel.

Kersey's books are very entertaining and hold my interest more than most audiobooks I have read.

Everything I have found said 90% of the casualties if CME or EMP aftermath is lack of drinkable water.
West of the Mississippi, there isn't 2 weeks of water. There are exceptions, but they will require conflict off the bat. Good luck y'all
