TY 4 this info. I did not experience nausea nor vomiting during chemo. I still have full bottles of nausea med.'s prescribed by my oncologist. The only things that changed 4 me, I could not eat spicy foods. Today is Jan 28, 2024, my last day of chemo was May 2023. I am still building my spice tolerance. I love spicy food so much 2. Healing and peace 2 all.

I had a painful bowel obstruction my first week of chemo. Thereafter I ate only foods that worked well with my chemo compromised gastrointestinal system: fruit and veggies, beans and legumes, ground meats, cottage cheese, smoothies and protein shakes. And lots and lots of water. Chemo is very dehydrating.

I got through chemo and radiation pretty well. Now trying not to be scared of reoccurrence of cancer and trying to cut down on sweets and cannabis
That's the key! As a cancer survivor forget about recurrence.
cannabis has no effect n cancer. I took CBD during treatment and again now during the give year pill. my Oncologist knows too

Thoughts of fasting before chemo?
What's recommended for someone with Type 1/Fragile diabetes? Many of the foods recommended could not be eaten.
Dr. Office called and stopped chemo. I have COPD and it intensified my shortness of breath. I struggle to breathe now. The office said they didnt know i had lung issues. Yes they did. I filled out a medical health info. I even told them about my issues. Covid caused bad scarring in my lungs. So now I'll either stop breathing or the cancer will spread fast. I should of never had chemo.

What about fasting on chemo days???
That is what I do. I fast the day before the day of and the day after. It limits the amount of side effects.

I drink Ensure since eating and drinking is a challenge for me during chemo recovery. I try to avoid sugar and it's my weakest.
There's alot of sugar in Ensure unless you get sugar free?

Yes I heard that o. You tube channel.,that fasting is excellent for our body . Fasting before the chemotherapy and after the treatment.
The problem is that doctors are don't tell the patients to fast and eating those foods that kills cancer tumours.
SHAME ON ALL DOCTORS AND ONCOLOGIST WHO DOESN'T GIVING ADVICE TO THEIR PATIENTS !!!!!!

It hasn't with me. I don't eat the day before, I don't eat during, and I start to eat the evening of the first day after. No problems.

It’s the same for men. Eat whole foods. No greasy fried foods.

my doctor was wrong saying that I am in good health. In my case x-ray stated a state 4 lung cancer. Go to a specified doctor for a check.
natural electrolytes with zero sugar are a good way to stay hydrated. and carbonated spring or mineral water helps stop the spread of cancer allowing oxygen to enter the cancer cells to destroy it
Hey dr amy. Are you sure anyone should actually be receiving chemo therapy? Diet is important, but why in conjunction with chemo?

Chemotherapy is not pleasant and Harsh! My fourth chemotherapy has to be stopped due to serious side effects!
