I love all the actors in this movie, even the actors/actresses I am not familiar with. SPOILER ALERT!!!! This move was completely stupid and I knew I should not have dared myself to watch it. SPOILER ALERT. getting to the point, this movie was no more than about how the white record execs lied to and robbed these musicians and in the end the man who go fired stabbed another man in the back and killed him simply for shoes getting stepped on. Denzel Washington who played in nothing but box office smash hits should have taken lessons from Spike Lee on how to produce and direct a movie. Denzel should be ashamed of himself for the way he produced this short story that was none the less produced by George C. Wolfe. What a disappointment this movie is.

You realize this is an adaptation of a August Wilson play, right? And that the entire purpose of the story was always to focus in on the exploitation that black musicians faced in the era of the great migration? The story and movie isn't bad, it just sounds like you don't like this story talking about these subjects...
