At the height of the Oyo Empire, the ferocious Bashorun Ga'a became more powerful than the kings he enthroned, only to be undone by his own blood. - Zábava
I'm from Argentina, in South America. I love African culture in general and I'd love to watch this movie. I speak 7 languages but not Yoruba and it'd be great if this movie, same as all African movies, would have subtitles so people from around the world can understand and enjoy watching them.
Greetings from Argentina.
The Oyo Empire, a majestic civilization that once flourished, now has its legacy immortalised in films that chronicle its rise and fall. It's high time for Africa to reclaim its narrative and share its own stories rather than relying on others to tell them. By doing so, we can honour the grandeur of our past and inspire future generations.❤
they need to learn computer rendering; like bahubali. oyo was an impressive empire.
True
Victimhood is what stop you from doing your own movies, surely not Hollywood.
Please Nollywood forgets that we’re not the same tribe, use subtitles please. In Mexican or even Indian trailers they put subtitles this shows that they care about the diversity of their audience
There's subtitle on Netflix we u stream the film on the app
Have you seen the movie?
@@owadave01 no I haven’t. I’m talking about trailers

How many of you noticed Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham in this movie? It's gonna be 🔥🔥🔥🔥 We are better together. Nollywood to the world.

A movie about the greatest Bashorun to have ever lived. The most ruthless, cunning and powerful warrior of the old Oyo empire. I can't wait for this one.
How about "Ga'a the one whose greed and power destabilised the empire and eventually led to the destruction of the empire" .
He is still talking about Gaa indirectly, because Gaa was the most ruthless bashorun (prime minister)in the history of oyo empire.@@adeyemikolapo2158
U're both right
Internally conflict was what destroyed the power of the Old Oyo Empire.

Please how do we differentiate these kinda movies to those local ones?
Because most times is like categorising these kinda movies as Nollywood is like letting it down 😊
All movies made in southern nigeria are Nollywood movies........ this kinda movies are called... historical movies.....why this type on low budget... that are being showed on CDs are known as African magic..... which are made by tribes.....like Yoruba movies, Igbo movies and Hausa movies.......but the ones with high budget and good quality....are called Nollywood or you can call them new Nollywood......why the tribe movies on African magic are called old Nollywood
An interesting film. I find it impressive
Inno fit wait oooo
Nigerian history to the world

Now, my problem with Nollywood period movies is costumes, they are never period accurate!! Tell me how the hell they are wearing embossed, leather armour in I assume the 1800
Poetic licence is allowed
@@elizabethjulianah TF is that? In a biopic? LOL, come on man
Of course you will definitely have a problem since it isn't an igbo movie but yoruba movie. Just pure envy then you try to console yourself by looking for faults. They can wear leather armour to portray even the BC years, we like it like that. Leave it like that for us. Envy is a disease.
@@11damilola you are a FOOL for bringing tribalism into this. A stupid human being and a complete waste of space. Idiot
@@elizabethjulianah Did you watch Narcos: Pablo Escobar, the level of accuracy with the costumes was mind blowing. From the cloth he was wearing when they took his first ever mugshot to what he was wearing when he was killed, everything was accurate. That is all I am saying
Wukanda did it better
let's switch it up abeg... e don do...explore some Hausa epoch... things fall apart period... Mr. Ben Amadasun I take Oluwa father above beg you.
Well, you'd have to tell this to Hausa and Igbo filmmakers (or anyone interested in making that happen) to pitch/make films of this nature that can be acquired by Netflix. It is not exactly Netflix's fault if Yorùbá epics and period pieces are constantly made and pitched by Nigerian filmmakers of Yorùbá descent.
Bro, it has to be content resourcefulness and technology adherence level to keep things in proper perspective. As for the Yorubas they have inexhaustible contents from ifà cosmology coupled with their robust cultures.
You think they choose by random , the hausa and igbos don't really have history , the hausa history has been wiped off by islmaization , while the igbos simply have no history than Biafra war
You can switch things up yourself.
There is a lack of diversity.
Waste of my time
Rubbish🚮
We know you, it's expected 😅
