You guys are confused. If someone is been polite and tolerable to your behavior even though they are uncomfortable is that pretentious? Do you expect them them to be hostile instead; how does that brings cohesiveness and inclusion? Is that why they attacked Foreigners in South Africa because that's their way of showing they don't like you? That's when keeping it real goes too far, right? Any civilized society is more accepting even if suspicious so you and your guest should shut your trap. I’ve had a few Ghanian friends in the past and I could never really tell if they liked me or not 😂. But I also don’t have friends from my own 🇳🇬 people 😅 they can hurt your feelings sometimes with their jokes. Most of my friends are Somalis and Asians.
