✔️ European Reacts to Brits try New York Pizza for the first time!! - Reaction For the First Time - Zábava
I like how he folded the slice just like we do here in NYC. Sausage and peppers is my favorite. Never waste my time on those pizza chains like Dominos or Papa John's.
And they're often served super fresh, meaning piping hot. You will burn your mouth on them. The cheese will stick to the roof of your mouth and burn you.
A few hours later and you're fine though.
Don't buy airport pizza when you arrive in New York. Wait until you're in town. At the airport it's going to be a crappy chain pizza like Sbarro or Pizza Hut.
Warning! Not Pizza in the airport. That's industrial and not NY Pizza.
PLEASE DON'T get pizza at the airport. You will have been robbed, it's so expensive. Wait until you get into the city.
In Europe pizzas are made in an individual size, and each person usually buys their own. In the US a full sized pizza is designed to be shared, that's why we also have slices.
in europe pizza is rubbery and undercooked with zero browning on the cheese. i would hate pizza if that was the only option.
@@nullakjg767 You must have gone to some crappy places. I’ve had superb pizza in Europe, including just a few days ago in Germany
If you want big and cheap pizza....Costco food court! $1.99 for a HUGE slice.
Sadly, due to inflation, there aren't many $1.00 slices around in NYC.
You get what you vote for as it turns out.
@@jishani1 I don't recall voting for the Pandemic which is the primary causes of inflation, hence why the huge inflation has happened globally.
"Mmmm, pizza"
-Some wise sage named Homer
John’s on Bleecker Street ROCKS!
I'm with you Andre, pepperoni pizza all the way....lol
White or "margherita" pizza here is often made with mozzerella, parmasean, basil and garlic. They may even add slices of tomato, but the star of the "sauce" is the cheese mix itself.
White pizza means no red sauce, my guy. Margarita is red sauce with fresh mozzarella and basil.
@jishani1 In my neck of the woods, with the core pizza joints I frequent, that's how it's made, lol. I'm just reporting my experience and the literal menu description. "Margherita (white pizza) is at the top of the column.
"Margarita (White)
$15/$20
Fresh tomato slices, basil, olive oil, parmesan and mozzarella." Tracks with every version I've had elsewhere too.
Also ricotta.
Don't buy pizza in the airport! it's cardboard..Real nyc pizza is dough made fresh daily, the sauce is cooked for several hours and the cheese is fresh and hand sliced/shredded,There's no pizza any where in the world that can really compete.A neighborhood pizza joint is best and usually they do all kinds of italian food dinners etc.once you have nyc pizza you will for the rest of your life compare every other slice you ever try!
new subscriber here.....love this channel. im American. your innocence of our country is funny and refreshing, and it makes me appreciate where i live.
white pizza usually has alfredo sauce and is good with small chicken chunks as a topping...
I can confirm, it is amazing pizza. When I took my family to NYC in 2019 we went to Joe's. Absolutely fantastic.
If a place is really good it’s because the sauces and pizza are made fresh and isn’t from a can. In America a lot of places make everything homemade.
Andre, I've been watching you for a while now, and you keep talking about visiting all these places in America, but I think you might be forgetting how big America really is. There are retirees that spend 20 to 30 YEARS exploring America, and probably the first 5 or so of that is just doing the big stuff like Texas BBQ, New York Pizza, Grand Canyon, rocky mountains, Mount Rushmore, and the like. I hope you're planning on spending a while here.....
You are absolutely right..... but let a man dream a little🤘
@@jamesleyda365 They don't realize how huge America is until they get here. It takes 24 hours to drive from one end of Texas to the other and back. In Maine it takes 9 hours to go from the top to the bottom. These times in Europe will cause you drive through 3-5 countries and end up in the ocean.
@@NatPat-yj2orno he knows how big it is. He talks about it all the time.
In a previous video he said he wanted to visit for a week and go to New York and Texas. No comment from me.
i dont think hes ever gonna come to america. he just says that to get engagement.
LOVE your show. I love the way you love the USA 🇺🇸. I telly friends about your show too. I proud to be an American. Yes, it's the best. Thank you. We appreciate you too. New York is a nice place to visit and Oregon, Washington state
Keep up your show

BLESS THE SICILIANS THAT BROUGHT US PIZZA
Yes, American movies are a true reflection of our cities, culture and people instead of all creative imagination for story telling. School buses are yellow, red solo cups are used at parties fire hydrants are red. It’s reality. New York pizza is the best, I’m in California. My opinion about the pizza. 😊
But I hate when Europeans saying they saw things in movies. Life in America is not the movies
@@dalemoore8582 maybe it depends on the movie?
@@dalemoore8582what a silly thing to hate. Grow up.
But they only know cities like New York, LA, San Francisco, etc.
They know nothing at all about "flyover country".
One of of my favorite pizzas was called the White Wolf. It was a white sauce pizza with pepperoni, sausage, ham, and bacon.
So good. Alas that little pizzeria when out of business long ago.
Let’s leave a like yall! It’s the best way for us to show support!
You should see the extra large pizza!! 😂
I had my first white pizza in 1991. Fell in love. No, it's not "pizza" as you know it, but it is creamy and garlic-y. And lots of cheese. So simple but so tasty.
The last time I was in Manhattan, in 1995, a single cheese slice at the shop by my hotel at Grand Central was $1.50. Given 30 years of inflation, $4 is probably cheap. I'd expect more like $5 or $5.50. Whole pies at most shops here in Ohio are probably going for about $16-$20 now.
New York is a hotspot for Italians so their pizzas are no joke. Regarding pizzas myself, I enjoy a pizza with really stretchy cheese on my pizza.
No comments on pineapple on pizza.
#TeamPepperoni
Pepperoni pizza is king in my books, And going to New york to try it is a bucket list item of mine.
Apparently pizza in Europe must be small because I have seen reactors say a 16 inch was big. Meanwhile I have leftovers from a 28 inch in my fridge.
pepperoni mushrooms and jalapenos peppers mmmmmmm....but i prefer the pan pizza or deep dish ...now im hungry....lol
I enjoy a good peperoni and I like to get extra peperoni on it. I also like a 'meat lovers' and I get onions and bell peppers added.... I can go for hand tossed, thin crust or even deep dish... I like just about all of it...
white sauce with chicken and artichoke heart is so good the two flavors are different together but so good.
Andre, i believe you were drooling there for a while 😂
This kid is GREAT... Love these videos! (It would be fun to package some things you can only get in California and send it to him!)😂
Im opposite when im stressed i have stomach issues so i dont want to eat but when im bored bring on the pizza my favorite food
John's is great and looks almost exactly like the first time I was there over fifty years ago.
My daughter went to catholic school a block away from John's Pizza. They would have lunch delivered from John's once a week. Joe's is pretty good. There are also many NYC pizza places called Ray's, but a majority of them are not related. There's a chain pizza place called 2 Brothers that use to be $1 but inflation caused them to raise the price. They were the only $1 pizza place though. If you want good NY pizza you have to pay NY prices. As a New Yorker $4 seems reasonable to me. If you think Joe's and John's pizza is big check out Coronet. Their slices are massive.
I don't think I've ever turned away a pizza, even from the cheap places like little ceasers. However, the difference in quality between that and places like this are just worlds apart. My personal favorite is a thin crust pizza with a garlic alfredo sauce, spinach, grilled chicken, and feta cheese.
As a native New Yorker, I must say that the ONLY place on earth that has pizza tastier than NYC pizza is probably only found in Italy! 😁😁😁😁
😂😂😂 I’m tired of this BS.
you’re so funny. Thanks for the laugh.
Chicken plus artichoke hearts with mushroom sauce is different and good
i cant wait to see your videos when you eventually come to visit the USA!!! your videos are awesome, keep up the good work!
Pepperoni, Sausage, onions, shrooms and double cheese, light sauce.
Been to John's On Bleecker many times. Grand Street Pizza is another go to for me as is El Piccolo Bufalo in Little Italy.
Go to Bleecker St Pizza or Johns of Bleecker, they are way better than Joes!
Oh yes, pepperoni pizza, my fav.
You used to be able to get it for like a dollar here in Minnesota but it’s now 2.50-3.00 dollars a slice
White pizza is amazing. Well done, extra garlic
When i stressbi deep clean my house for hours. My granddaughter hates tomato so she has white sauce which is alfredo sauce, we have cici pozza that makes desert pizza sweet and gooey
The garlic Alfredo white sauce in the pizza is not bad on a chicken and spinach and peppers plus onion pizza
I prefer sausage over pepperoni but to each his own.
I prefer my pizza to have both pepperoni and sausage.
You are a man of culture. Pepperoni pizza is amazing for all the flavor you get in its simplicity. 😆
I'm wishing now I had a photo to post of a local mom'n pop pizzeria's "big wheel' pizza, though. 20 inch / 50.8 cm pizza. Not as pretty as the ones in this video but so, so good~
Andre - basil is manjericão
Subbed and liked. Great vids man! Keep it up
NY pizza is good for being on the go, but our Chicago pizza is better.
New York Pizza is the best .
that one dude can't stop eating even when he is suppose to be talking. thats hungry.
My go to pizza toppings are either beef or pepperoni and mushrooms. Or pepperoni and jalapenos👌 (also pretty uncommon now bc no one like them, but anchovies are pretty good on a pizza👀🤷♂️)
Yes pepperoni
Oh my gosh, I'm so hungry...lol!🍕😊
Pepperoni sausage mushroom onion, NO OLIVES
The only thing I don’t New York style fold up your pizza if you’re a toddler or your not eating New York style pizza like the Chicago style
Every restaurant in NYC says "best in NY" or "world's best". Nobody claims to have the 15th best pizza.
If you're in Atlanta or somewhere they will claim to have the "best in the south".
Those pizza slices are average size and where I live in the United States which is about 100 mi from New York City a slice of pizza is about $2.25
Yes, pepperoni is the best SINGLE topping pizza. For me, taco pizza beats them all!
DO NOT EAT AIRPORT PIZZA
Pizza hasn't been a dollar since 1999
Particularly, post 2020.
Not true there are still $1 pizza in NYC granted its not the best pizza, otherwise a typical slice is $3-$4.
@@Qthepug Explain how am I wrong nothing you said disputes anything I said.
@@damien7157 [I was responding to the original post by Kenneth James and got stuck under you sorry] I have watched so many You Tubers get conned into eating $4 pizza and being told $1 doesn’t exist while I am eating a $1 slice. I tried to correct the location of the response.
You said pizza hasn’t been $1 since 1999. I moved to New York in 2007 and bought $1 slices all the time. Two brothers main locations raised prices to $1.50 but smaller places still sell it fir $1. And even at St. Marks at night you can get it for $1 although the sign changed to $1.50. This is and always has been street food pizza. Not gourmet.
Shoot, $4 for that slice isn't bad. Where I live Im pretty sure a slice of very bad pizza from Kum & Go ( a local convenience store ) is almost that much. So $4 in New York sounds pretty good for good pizza..
No fricken lie i could eat a med cheese and pepperoni from there i would luv just cheese but the pepperoni is amazing they dont put to much on and the fresh Puree tomato sauce is heaven heaven yum yum yum
One Bite Pizza Review App will give you a good idea of where the good pizza is.
Any city that had a large population of Italian immigrants you will find great Italian food. Chicago style pizza is different because they wanted to stand out (hot dogs too). Yes, we know how to cook in the US which is why we have helth and weight issues 🗿👽🗿👽🗿
Thin crust Margarita for me
$4 is a lot for such a small slice....I can get delicious larger slice at Costco for $1.99..but I guess it's the experience. Wonder if they take food stamps😂😂
NYC has every style of pizza, and it's usually good. Chicago has 2 and they are both better than NY.
Do not go for the $1 slices in NYC which are more than $1 now. Unless you are nearly starved, have poor taste or don't know better..
Those slice prices are not listed online. I like their Margherita slice which costs more.
I have not been at John's on Bleeker since the 1980s.
I don't often go to Joe's and don't think of what it costs. I expect to pay in Manhattan for slice a 'coke' over $6.
Some of best NY pizza is in Brooklyn. Detroit stye exists is not very popular and Chicago deep-dish is even more are scarce.
PS In Manhattan I for a single cheeseburger, fries, fountain soda its $18 and change at Shake Shack and about $20+ change at Five Guys.
PEPPERONI AND EXTRA PEPPERONI AND EXTRA CHEESE. The only type of Pizza 🍕
Pepperoni sausage and mushrooms pizza the best
Good choices
i'm italian, i love white pizza!!!
I’m Italian and it’s disgusting (my opinion) and definitely not Italian (grandparents said so lol).
ALSO, DO NOT GO TO NEW YORK NOW!!!!!!!
SERGIS PIZZERIA IN CANTON NY. THE BEST. ASK FOR ONE OF THEIR FAT BAGS.
You said $1 pizza would be a boat (ship).
Pronounce it like cha- cha-cha. CHange. CHance. CHeap, CHocolate, Potatoe CHip. Sincerely just trying to help. ❤
yea guy in the yellow just wants him to shut up and eat.
Algorithmic engagement comment.
Ask college students where you can find $1 pizza and bring cash. You can't use a card for $1 pizza.
pepperoni - no, linguisa - yes
Holy sweet potato?
I personally prefer Chicago pizza over new york i dont like thin crusted pizza but my roots are in Chicago. Let the fight begin between Chicago and new york pizza
I prefer the thin pizza. I am from Connecticut and I enjoy Frank Pepe's New Haven pizza. New York and New Haven pizza are very similar.
Tip of the day: If you want an authentic NYC pizza experience, do NOT buy your pizza at the airport.
$4 for a big slice of pizza pretty normal even down here in Southwest Arizona....thats crazy that family size for y'all is the medium size for the US....I love sausage with black olives & mushrooms & pepperoni with black olives & gourmet vegetable with white sauce....white sauce is next level....folding is the only way to eat a slice of pizza....definitely gotta put grated parmesan on top of it & dip it in ranch or garlic butter
Yep! A full large pizza in my area is $20, and a small $15. That's New England Prices at least...
$4 is outrageous for a slice of pizza. Here in Pennsylvania a slice of pizza is $2.25 and just maybe 5 years ago it was a $1.50 A Slice. At my local pizza shop right now I can get a whole pizza large for $12.99 which has 8 large slices❤ and the cooks are from Italy they are not Hispanics they are real Italians 😆😆😆
I love that but I eat some pizza once or twice a month. It makes much oily and fat cheese.
Pineapple! Ananas!
I DO NOT LIKE PIZZA IN ANY FORM. WHEN I NYC GO TO BROOKLYN AND TRY JR CHEESE CAKE
I’ll tick off alot my favorite pizza, no sauce, fresh mushroom and cheese
Don't get pizza at the airport. Prices are high, and quality is low.
How can you not like asiago pizza???
Don't eat airport food!!! It's super expensive and usually not very good! Wait to get to a real pizza place!
What do you mean by you are tired of this BS?? 😂😂😂
Guest ask, name a price
Thank Biden for the $4.00 slice of pizza.
You are going to gain so much weight if you visit the U.S.
Is that an R.C. Cola lable on that glass at 5:50?
