This first wave of legacy united are all bangers. I really think they missed the mark on Magneous in terms of deco. The hollow chest would actually look really cool of it was painted to look it was full of, well, magma. This dude having a lava core like that would work so well with the volcanic rock look he has going on.
The closest thing I'll get to Terastalizint a Transformer to rock type to endure a sandstorm
I’m really hoping we get more rock lords, and not just retools like what happened with Scraphook. Hoping we can create some giant rock golem, or at the very least that the rest of the rock lords do a good job.
Apparently, the Infernac Universe this character comes from according to the box is a reference to the short-lived Inhumanoids series also owned by Hasbro that debuted the same year as the G1 movie.
wait- they showed this with animated prime? they gave animated prime a MAGNeUS hammer? well done hasbro.
I just hope Prime doesn't take him for granite.
He looks like he scanned a truck and a bunch of rocks at the same time. That or he was thinking what trucks used by the Flintsones would like while scanned.

the chest is hollow by design because "He's a sparkless being" which always seemed like covering up a limited design lmao
He's just Bayverse Ironhide if he lived in the Stone Age. I dig it.
Just gotta say, I really appreciate you starting to put in reference images to the character the figure is based on at the start. It's a nice little refresher of what it's supposed to look like, especially for less common characters.
The hole in Magneous' chest is supposed to be a homage to the original Rock Lords, because Tombstone has a similar chest design, while Magneous' head, arms, shoulders & legs resembles Granite, even his vehicle mode looks like Granite's rock mode with the wheels & a cab on it.
Love it! It may not be a traditional RockLord due to certain licencing/trademark issues on parts of the brand, but it enough to quel my desire for their rocky come back. It also gives me hope for a fusion of armorizers and fossilizers one day. So we could get new versions of Terra rock & Spike Stone dino rock figures. Or something simular to them at least. Perhaps re-imagined dinobots would be interesting in that style. Make a REAL Volcanicus that has that liquid hot magma look incasing those precious dinobot fossil bones.
I can't help but wonder what the "flintstones" car would look as a transformer, but this is pretty close

With some retooling and a bit of paint I could definently see a sweet Ironhide in there somewhere!

It reminds me of the brick car that James May made in The Grand Tour a couple years ago.
I like it transforming into a rock armored vehicle instead of just a rock
