Couldn't stand Michael Pitt's character, he was such a drip and was a burden on their interesting twin dynamic

@@c.l.m.4726 that is your opinion 🤷🏻‍♀️ for many the movie is simply fabulous, beautiful & glorious at the end of the day for me after all it’s just that A FILM. For its time especially I appreciate the raw sensuality that so many other movies tried to capture but couldn’t. Take Emerald Fennell for example. Saltburn was many things and tried I think to capture this raw sensual experience minus the incest “which by the way only makes up about 10% of this film” but I digress. Saltburn and Emerald I think tried to recapture this in a way and she did it with such a modern take more 90s nostalgic but she was on point visual wise with the home etc and cast but again something like The Dreamers cannot be recaptured. That movie comes to mind for some reason anyways I am rambling but The Dreamers was magnifique 👌🏻 exquisite and such an ethereal experience for a lot of us and this movie really is what got me into so many other directors and helped me become such a huge fan of Eva Green, Louis Garrel & Michael Pitt. It’s in my opinion not a porn but a bonafide classic piece of ART!! Michael Pitt and his lips, Louis and his booty and face to kill for and Eva with her sensual gothic chic style and looks and curves captured the essence of a true woman’s body. But if that is your opinion then that’s totally cool and you’re totally entitled to it. For me this is by far some of Bertolucci’s best work and in my top 5 favorite masterpieces hands down and I am so happy it’s getting the 4K it deserves. I honestly believe it should have been a Criterion over a decade ago if not earlier…. 🦋💋 🖤
