    Would love to see a CLAP version of PlugData. Having access to modulators and per-voice modulation could lead to lots of fun things in PD

      What is CLAP?

    • @TMeier
      @TMeier Před rokem +3

      @@elijahjflowers CLAP is a new open plugin format backed by U-he and Bitwig. It's designed to simplify plugin development and has a bunch of useful features like distinguishing between automation and modulation control inputs.

    • @_DRMR_
      @_DRMR_ Před rokem

      While CLAP format would be relatively trivial (there is a JUCE wrapper already), those features don't make any sense for Pd.

      What a difference a year makes, this new update of plug data makes CLAP plugins (that you hopefully do not need penicillin for 😝)

    This is great. Brings PD into the daw and brings the UI up to speed with Max. Thanks for sharing.

      it could sound strange, but it is actually that!
      Pure Data, the software which Plug Data is based on, is the younger and open source cousin of Max/MSP. Both of them were conceived by the mind of the same author: Professor Miller Puckette.
      Fun stuff!

    This is so interesting. Is it more complex than the grid? I didn't dive into grid yet.
    Also CLAP version is available too. I'd love to see an updated tutorial video on this.
    Thanks Polarity! This is a new rabbit hole for me. I'll learn the fundamentals of Grid and then dive into this.

    Followed the instruction to get the Plug Data as above, everything on the page looks the same but when I get to the zip files I can't download them. Just noticed at the top of the first page next to "CMake" it says "Failing" rather than "Passing". It looks as if I can download the releases but they are from September.
