Why would people give him hate for the unique style though? That makes no sense, Ellis is easily one of the better skaters out there in terms of technical flip tricks and weird creative stuff. Nothing but respect for that! It's awesome.

Skateboarding has become a bunch of elitest gatekeepers who need to conform to all the "cool" norms. It's hilarious and sad really. Skating used to be about being weird, we've come full circle.

It makes perfect sense why people make fun of him for his unique style. It's called insecurity and a lot of humans have it. Putting him down probably makes them feel safer or some stupid bullshit which is a sad truth

St Neots is only about 15 minutes from where I grew up. I remember going down to Ellis’ local skatepark and seeing him for the first time - he must have only been 12 or 13 at the time. I’ve never seen anyone do the things that he was able to do at such a young age. Scary talent.
