Live from Watches and Wonders 2022 in Geneva I take you on a tour through the Salon. We are also working to publish our first videos taped today of course. Geneva has become the epicenter of watchmaking for a week. “We are extremely happy to have succeeded in setting up this major fine watchmaking event in a difficult health and human context. After two years of pandemic and 100% digital editions, it was important to be able to gather again the main actors of our industry. For the first in-person event under its new name, Watches and Wonders Geneva inaugurates the largest watchmaking salon ever organized in Geneva. We should see it as a symbol of a new era, inviting us to look serenely to the future. With a program that has been entirely redesigned to offer the guests of this edition a unique and unforgettable experience, Watches and Wonders Geneva is preparing to unveil this new space, inviting more interaction and highlighting the products in the most beautiful of settings. The time has come for the finishing touches to be made, the watchmakers are starting their inspection tour, keeping an eye on the final preparations, impatient to reveal their latest products, previews and exceptional pieces. “A major event for professionals in the sector, the long- awaited salon unites 38 exhibiting brands in Geneva for the first time physically under one roof. It is an important opportunity for us to get together each year and be heard, with one strong, collective voice. The aim of this international event is also to showcase the world's watchmaking capital. Whether historic Maisons, young brands or independent watchmakers, it is an honour to represent the Exhibitors here, and through them the industry in all its forms. It is great to see W&W is an event that is not only digital anymore.
When i’ve got into watches, Baselworld stops and a nasty pandemic lay a dark blanket over the world.
To see a proper event after the good Geneva watch days is superb, and i love my in Geneva made watch. Sure, i like Neuchatel brands, but there is something special as a watch made in Geneva.

Looks good. I don’t know why Rolex bother doing such a big display for such a small amount of watches that you can’t get. People who wear their watch on the right can now wait for a watch they will never get like the rest of us 🤦🏻♂️

I hope that there will be interesting pieces released for 2022. Thus far I was not highly impressed by Rolex's releases... but rather disappointed since as many I was expecting a titanium Yachtmaster... Anyway, it is not each year that I see a watch to my liking.
thank you Alexander for this "backstage" tour of W&W....are these permanent booths or boutiques?...if not, these are very elaborate & costly sets, now I know where the majority of the money I spend for these timepieces go...lol
This trade show looks like a mint…I thought brands pulled out of Baselworld b\c of the cost…along with the C-19 lockdowns. Can’t imagine the cost is much less to be at this show.
The show is already over since one week… there are many reasons why BASELWORLD died… costs were only one of them…

Rolex to start the video made me thought Rolex has a big horological stuff to show in Watches and Wonder 2022, then I realized Rolex again just plays with new colours, diamonds or something very cosmetic. But giving Rolex the honour (to start the video) for its least effort is telling Rolex they can put no effort but still get the spotlight, why...
