    THANK YOU this is the only video i was able to find which relates to my overly crowded aloe plant. So far ive counted about 11 that are visible, i know theres more hidden below and some pups as well. I have two aloe plants, the first one (which was much smaller and less intimidating for me to start off with) i separated & repotted before summer. Idk why ive waited this long to start with the 2nd it was already big and full then, but now its massive. But my question is how to grow THICKER LEAVES on my plant. I thought it being too crowded caused it to produce thinner leaves. And see, the plant you fixed here was much bigger & fuller than mine, yet the leaves were still thick, so i guess crowding isn't the reason (or at least the only reason) for thin leaves. Other than that my plant is pretty much healthy. I keep it partially shaded so its not in full sunlight, leaves are a healthy green, and i try to stay on top of clipping off any brown tips and dead leaves that are an eye sore. And since it's a desert plant, i stopped watering it too often over a year ago. Before was once a week, but now i kinda stopped keeping track of that since i cut down on watering it. I dont fertilize or give any plant food though. Not with any of my plants, only water. The info/tutorials/hacks/tips say so many different things and i find it overwhelming and confusing i dont wanna kill them trying to help them grow. So just water, sun, observation and love is the care i give.

    • @succulentlivingbymarija8872

      Vin Soriano they can live almost without any water. I water aloe less than any other succulent, especially through the winter I give it a little water every 3 to 4 weeks just because it’s really dry and warm in my house. I don’t keep aloes under lights, but by the window. It’s actually not getting a lot of light because it’s north east facing window. I think it will probably be fine as long as you have some source of light. Aloes are ok with not having full sun or a lot of hours on the sun.

      Bern C the fan is actually quite far, all the way on the top of the dome but it’s very loud. After few videos with these problems I have started recording voice at home for videos from conservatory. You can check that if you click on conservatory videos playlist. I do try to improve what I can.

      @@succulentlivingbymarija8872 😳😳😳 I have an insect Aloe plant compared to your smallest, however I do use the lower leaves for my skin. My big question is, if I cut my plant which now looks like a TREE down detaching it from the roots will I kill it? 😔😔

    • @succulentlivingbymarija8872
      @succulentlivingbymarija8872  Před 4 lety +1

      K Hotlips you will not kill it. You can behead it and leave in dry soil and it will root. Left over stem may grow new branches as well.

      @@succulentlivingbymarija8872 yes they will but it takes alot out of them and they are susceptible to disease if you don't let the sit out and scab over ! It much easier to stuff the root in a pot and back fill dirt . They also are alot sturdier afterwards! I replied wrong to that , I didn't mean it couldn't be done . I think it can be done better for the plant in the long run ! I'm still going to watch regardless lol !

      Joe Poimbeauf I had pests the least in aloes and Haworthia if ever. Also when it doesn’t look pretty and plants is hit because it’s taking too wide space that’s not good either. I have propagated aloes a lot and they never got sick or died
