odoj bešel mro piráno / and in it my husband imprisoned,

the pre mande pobisterel. / he's thinking and remembering me.
2: - Kata Ruska balval phurdel, / The wind comes from Russia,
mro piráno už man mukhel, / my husband is already leaving me,
mukhel, mukhel pháripnaha, / leaving, leaving me sorely,
hoj na penďas: Áčh devleha. / that he could not even say "Goodbye".
3: - Ó, tu kálo čiriklóro, / Oh, you little black bird,
lidža mange mro lilóro, / bring my letter
lidža, lidža mra romňake / to my wife
hoj som phandlo Aušvicate. / that I am imprisoned in Auschwitz.

Yes...! I should mention credit to Jan Rokyta. Cymbalon player and "artistic leader" of the TECHNIK band in the past. I remember him. He was almost "academically pedant kind of demanding man". They were from Ostrava, far away from the south east Moravia where this song belongs (geography-wise) but they play absolutely authentic like if they were locals from there. Plus they had very high technical skill. Which is quite a rare combination, talking about folkloric bands. (by the way.., both Jan Rokyta (RIP) and his son are quite a well known here in Holland - spent lots of time here.)
Ten kdo rozumí textu, a ví za jakých podmínek tahle píseň vznikla, už jen ta představa že paní Danilelové tam umřeli všechny děti.,za mě nejsmutnější píseň na světě.
A přitom (jak tady někde píšu v angl.) napsala tu melodii v dur.
