Vincent Findley Elvis and Jackie Wilson came out at the same time and Elvis became the biggest artist in history. I really doubt Elvis "looked up to" Jackie Wilson. But they were good friends and hung out all the time. Jackie was in one of Elvis' movies from 1962.
Elvis did 'look up to' Jackie Wilson and Jackie loved Elvis too. Unfortunately Jackie was not in any of Elvis' movies although they did meet on the set of one Elvis movie. Maybe had they lived in the 80's they would have appeared onstage together as they had tremendous respect for each others talent.
