Your philosophy towards the industry is rare, amazing and appreciated. Learned more watching Angela and yourself in a week vs. months of reading and filtering other CZcams content. You guys make the hobby, at least for me, damn fun again!! Many thanks!! Looking forward to doing business with you in the near future.
I am going to do more "tell the truth" video in the future. In fact, I am doing 3 more by myself right now as I type.
Best explanation of hifi I've ever seen.
🙏 that was a terrific explanation. I certainly appreciate and resonate with Angela. Her art is creating pathways for the connection of music to the human soul. How beautiful is that? Love the integrity. 🙏
The old owner of Audio Two ,Glen, in Windsor always spoke very highly of Angela-Gilbert’s Blue Circle gear
👌I just Discover your chanel and the work of Angela-Gilbert Yeung.
Great video and the explanation.
Kind regards from France.
Alex
I’m grateful to find this company . I appreciate the time you guys take to explain the circuitry in each component. I can’t wait to line up some purchases .
Great vid 👌
Best wishes from Scotland 🏴.
There are a few cottage industry type brands like this around, with the proprietors beating to the beat of their own drum. With all the hype, marketing and jewellery surrounding the better known brands, those designing products with a true passion for their art(such as is the case here) tend to get lost amongst the noise.Nice presentation,thank-you.
From enthusiasts for enthusiasts.
i love your videos George! i love real tech based on real science! keep it up guys! and angela of course!! absolute genius!
great explanation !!
Very nice - THX!
Excellent video!
Great great video thanks guys one of the best I’ve heard for a long time ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Angela seems to be a female version of Jeff Rowland.
I agree with your video, you generally can't get truly amazing sound from mass produced gear. I smile every time I get that blank look when people ask what I run.
I looked at her website, unfortunately I can't afford her gear.
Great video. I have a poiint to point wired valve amp and I'd never go back. Maybe a class A point to point, but I e never heard one!
Lovely video thank angela Gilbert trundle is a ginormous 👍🏿
Decware dose a lovely class point to point😁.
But this is about angela and her business partner given so mush to the audiofile that takes years and often lots of money to learn.
Great design, great technology 👍
do you a/b testing for tracks? I want to hear the difference even if is only tonality
do you give attention to volume pots?
💯%🔥🔥🔥
hi thank you for the very informative video
i wonder if there would be any gain by extracting the mains transformer from the amp circuits chassis and putting it in a separated box
Yes, there is benefit by having a separate power supply. We have higher models which have that feature.
@@angela-gilbert hi thank you so much for your kind and valuable reply and advice
the mains transformers are the main source of vibrations and magnetic fields
i will look at your other videos for sure
it is still not clear to me if it would be better an AC or DC umbilical cord from the external PS to the amp
i would use AC cord but i could be wrong
What amp is the one the wife threw across the room? I'm just curious because I really like the chassis style and I'd like to see it in its full form
Never mind. I found it. Google image search works very well
The one with 16 blue capacitors, silver chassis on the left side of the screen, is the one being thrown across the room with a bad channel.
It's an Alchemist (Forseti). British.
Breakaway from Musical Fidelity.
Quick question, Why don't Angela-Gibert Yeung use Tubes? I replaced my solid state preamp with a tube preamp and the sound difference was night and day!
I use tubes in preamps. Just not all preamps. The C318 preamp has both 6922 and 6SN7 inside. There is no better of worst when compared between tube and solid-state. Both have good and bad brands, models and designs. Both sounds different. I also make hybrid integrated amp. The i810 has a 6SN7 inside.
@@angela-gilbert I agree. however, I prefer the openness tubes bring to a system vs the tight clarity of a solid-state.
I fully appreciate what you are doing. Where is your shop located?
Absolute Sound is in Chatham, Ontario, Canada. Their contact info is in the descriptions.
Thank you for the quick response.
I'm very interested in this equipment

I am honestly curious how many customers need three inputs on their integrated amplifier. I am an old-timer, and I abandoned vinyl and tape and home theatre years and years ago. I only need one input for my DAC/streamer (or a DAC with a volume control). I hope I am not being difficult, but is there an advantage to eliminating the input selector on the integrated amplifier and letting the DAC be the digital input selector (if needed)? Is it possible to design an integrated amplifier with only one input? Thank you for your content. Thank you.
I hear you. However, from building an amplifier to suit more users, three inputs are the minimum. There are actually people who need more than three inputs.
@@angela-gilbert how much benefit in sound would one input be vs the three selector?
a similar concept is done on the i810 and c312 units where three inputs are going to one line and there is essentially three 'mute' switches, so you just turn off the ones you aren't using
@@angela-gilbert Where would someone go that's interested in your hifi product line? Do you build upon order or do you have some in stock?
@@kenhiett5266 You can contact Mike Woodcock of Absolute Sound for more product info. Contact info is in the descriptions. Mike at Absolute Sound has most models in stock.
ofc but there are certain limits on cans, most notably affordable ones, better stick with the ratio
Not persuaded about soldering nuts and bolts.
Hi fi Genius Bob Carver tymes 100 ! 😊
Very informative thank you. Pity the South African Rand is so weak. Even Angela’s entry level units are out of my league .
Aren't Aluminum heat sinks be better on the outside? Wouldn't 2 transformers be better? Isn't Bigger capacitors be better?
Decent comparison, but electricity is travelling at the speed of light. Our ears really can't hear those subtleties you are describing.
It seems this is a legitimate point.
Electricity is a mystery to me so I looked it up. In a conductor, electricity travels at anywhere from 50% to 99% of the speed of light in a vacuum. There are also lots of variables with dielectric, electromagnetic fields, waves, drift - it’s all too complicated for me. Then there is also the volume of electrons a conductor can move - a wire vs. tiny traces on a printed circuit board.
Ultimately - are the differences in design audible? Most likely. But Angela Gilbert Yeung probably has some measurements to be sure.
There not many like a g about now they died out like glen croft r.i.p
How is this vs supernait 3?
that kid there do not know what hes talking about
Amplifiers that are correctly made don't have a sound, same with DACs. If you can hear the amp or DAC then it's not very good. You should only hear the source recording and the speakers. End of - you can shoot me now,
Do you mean every ‘correctly made’ modern amplifier doesn’t have a sound/has no effect on the music? I think that would be ideal. Or perhaps you’re saying there are no (or scarcely few) modern amps that are correctly made. That’s a fair argument as well. I guess the ideal is a straight wire or metal bar where a signal goes in one end and comes out the other exactly the same, only louder. Do many of them do that?
My experience is that most amps sound slightly different (using the same system & same music playing).
Also - hopefully no one shoots you.
Peter Walker of Quad Electronics famously described an amplifier as: "A straight wire with gain."
In an ideal world, that would be the case - but the world is far from ideal.
@@stephenfurley1025 I do agree that many amps don’t sound the same, ie inaudible to the listener, but that’s basically the fault of the “HiFi” industry who don’t want their products to sound the same . That wouldn’t do would it ? Well, you put this one of ours on mate, and it does this , and sounds like this , and makes your Pink Floyd sound wrong , I mean better. It’s an emotional response - people can’t help falling into the trap. Effectively, all the nonsense from the "HiFi" industry is to say, there you go guys, drink the Kool Aide, take the blue pill and then we've got you where we want you - down the bunny hole.
@@davidcarr2216amplifiers sound different for a whole raft of reasons, which I don't have time to mention as I'm about to start work.
One is simply down to component choice. Everything's built to a price. Replace the cheap components in a £200 amp with higher grade type, and you'll have a better sounding amp. Resistors. Carbon Film types "sound" different to Carbon Composition types. Metal Film types "sound" different yet again. That's not just my opinion; it's an established fact. Japanese enthusiasts have a liking for using carbon composition resistors in projects, because of their sound. And that's just one tiny example.
Believe what you wish. It's fine by me. I think that providing you haven't got a huge room to fill then pro speakers are the way to go. Then you kill three birds with one stone. You get correctly designed amps, correctly designed speakers and no amp/speaker matching concerns plus you often get a DSP software adjustment suite thrown in. Many "Hifi" amps aren't even correctly designed (as I've previously mentioned) to begin with so who knows what kind of effects changing components will have - even of the same value. It's like worrying about cables - they may or may not change the "perceived sound" under certain circumstances but who cares ?@@stephenfurley1025
