    Great video Joe, what might also be interesting is comparing a solenoid and a relay and why a manufacturer would use one over the other, thanks my friend 👍😁

    What if there is 2 low voltage terminals on the front? Same principle? Just from different sources?

      could be, best way is to test with a meter and a car battery, and some jumper wires.

      I’ve heard that one of the two is for grounding but I doubt it. I use 4 post coils on 1940’s era ford tractors and the low side posts are marked i and s. I for ignition trigger and s for start bypass of ballast resistor to the coil to provide spark during low battery conditions of cranking. It straight wires the coil supply power for the short time it’s cranking by drawing power off the copper disc connecting the large lugs. I could be backwards on which does what, but only one small terminal makes it click with power supplied so easy enough to check during install.
