A quick guided tour of all the modifications I've done to my 2009 Freelander 2 XS since buying it 8 years ago. Amber strobes and air horn bracket available from my website : www.beavispits...
I’ve actually fitted the Skoda washer cap and turns into funnel today on my Golf! Really nice little mod that and I don’t have to keep spilling it while filling the washer fluid up!😊

Ive got a 2011 freelander 2 sport LE, UK model. Its got some sort of cold climate pack on with heated front screen etc plus Its got a diesel fired heater, Its not remote control etc but once the temp gets below 6 degrees it runs when the car is running. Within minutes the air through the vents is toasty even though the Engine temp still hasnt moved off the bottom of the gauge.
Sounds like some of the top spec models have a webasto configured as a booster heater to help things warm up when started during cold weather. This is common on the ex demonstrator vehicles which had all the optional goodies fitted to show them off. The standard cold climate pack (which I have) includes heated seats, mirrors, heated washers etc. The heated screen is fitted to all models as far as I know.
@@BeavisPits I only found out about it last winter after I had it Waxoyled, they must have sprayed the heater with it and when it heated up I thought the car was on fire with the smell coming off it, I nearly shit myself, pulled over on the side of the road, lifted the bonnet and the Engine looked fine, the smell coming from the drivers side vent where the side repeater is, I didnt know what the hell was going on ha ha
The suspension has lift spacers fitted above the shock absorbers. This pushes the wheels down, lifting up the car. The tyres are BF Goodrich KO2 245/70R17
Hi great vid I'm getting the tyres ASAP as I have a puncture but having trouble getting the proper spacers in time would it be possible to get my tyres fitted and add the spacers next week or do you think that would be too risky .? Thanks again for your vids there great
Hi John, I’ve not tried fitting mine without the wheel spacers, but I have heard of others doing it. The gap between the tyre inside wall and the shock tube will be quite narrow, only around 10mm or so. The concern is that a stone could get caught and damage the tyre.
Thanks for sharing your modified FL2! Looks great. It would be really helpfull if you could share a link where you bought the fastening points to secure the roof rack. I've got the same roofbars, and a similar roofrack. I will check your website aswell!
Just found your channel mate ! Great work. I’m thinking of selling my disco 3 to get a FL2… got to say I love them in grey !. Also seen your lift spacers .. do they make the ride any more or less comfortable would you say ? Thanks
Thanks Richard! The lift spacers are very firm rubber so don’t change the spring rate or damping effect. The ride is higher, but comfort should remain the same.
