I replaced my Morris Minor front seat covers and straps over 30 years ago without the knowledge how to complete the job. Over the years, the seat have started to sag and the covers deteriorated.
In this video I remove the seats, refresh the frames and fit new straps and seat foam. The covers, although 30 years old are refitted, but actually completed this time round!!
The straps and seat foam are from Newton Commercial, ordered through ESM.
    Enjoy the video
Please remember, I am not a trained mechanic and what I do may not be the best / correct way but works for me. Videos are made as a guide of how I do / did it rather than a bible for others to follow.
    Thanks for watching.

I'm glad this popped up today. I've had some bmw 325 seats in my morris for a long time. They are comfy, but so heavy, and they are so huge, that theres no room for anyone in back, even if they are strong enough to tip the thing forward. Finally got some original seat frames, and now you got me motivated. thanks.

Did this job last year - got some info from an old mate who used to be an upholsterer - best tool for cutting foam is an electric carving knife! But to avoid summary execution I used an old bread knife - works really well

Hi, I am wondering what the padding you have on the squab is made of. It looks a bit like cotton or cap hock. Also have you used what was already installed in your car seat originally. I have the new foam, hessian and squab fibre but no padding for the top of the squad seat and before I remove the old covers and begin, I thought I'd check. Thanks in advance 🙂
