This was part of Indian religious and knowledge system since ages .It was called INDRAJAALA in ancient India .Indra (Hindu God master of Illusion) Jaala ( Jaal = Net)Indra s net .One of the aspects of Hindu philosophy of entire the world being a “ maya” or illusion was being taught to the less educated by the roadside indrajaala practioners Certain castes and clans were holders of the secrets of various tricks and were scrupulously guarded
Later (like the concept of zero )was copied and carried to Europe by the Arabs and Turks where it became used for entertainment
Now it is lost amongst the original founders of this art

Even the artisians of Banarasi Sarees were Hindus but accepted Islam under duress where they were taxed for their art and on top had to pay Jaziya and always lived in worry of their women and property.... To come out, they accepted Islam in rhose times of oppression.... Similar could be rhe story of these magicians

Extremely sad that an ancient wisdom and knowledge is lost forever .
Perhaps the generations that followed were not worthy in spirit and mind to inherit or follow .
And what lacked even further was the absence of integrity and discipline among the people .
They didn't care to safeguard their traditions and secrets.
Knowledge is such a PRECIOUS WEALTH that it should be safeguarded but sadly it was dispersed in the winds of Time and Political Change .

Maybe they were so trust worthy society that never learned the attitude to hide there abilities in name of Saftey. Hence they were innocent, the clever ness of British Raj and east India company took it as business and made it a street show in London. That made the skills of using other’s skills and turn it into a profit . May be Indians keep believing coz of their innocence but then deceived and kept being looted. May be it can be this scenario as well?

First of all you can still find amazing magic in every country including India. However as I understand it there was a period where they cracked down on street performers in India which drove many of the ancient traditions which had been passed down from father to son out of business or into slums. Also culturally the Indian gov. tried to push for more of a materialistic and scientific focus away from India’s historic mysticism. This shift cast a negative light on wonder workers and fakir’s and god men. However it can still be found, it’s just not everywhere.

No doubt at all that this is an Indian magician. Because, they are talking in Hindi language. When the magician pulling out yards and yards of cotton strings, right then, follow the Hindi voice talking at 1:35 onwards---the man is saying "Abhi isko nikalte hai", which means, "I am just now pulling it out". No question of Egypt or any other country. At the olden times, the people of India wore more traditional dresses than what now you see in modern India. Some were Muslims by religion.

All people do these days is worshipping 💰 and showing off to I dunno who. We're alive for a short time, it seems people only remember birthdays not the fact that death is coming close by the moment.
