- World Slash is a gimmick move that's entirely useless in an actual fight. It's worse than simply doing your normal combos with Sukuna's moves, and is impossible to confirm on people who aren't braindead. However, all of that is ok, and that's what I'm going to go over in this video.

EDIT: Finally tested the advice people were giving in the comments, and wow, I've got one huge mistake I want to fix. Putting this above the original comment because this is an important piece of misinformation I accidentally spread.
To do world slash, you ONLY need dismantle to be off cooldown. While it does put open, rush, and grab ON cooldown, it does not require them to be OFF cooldown, so you can use all of those moves that I did in my Sukuna combo, and the moment dismantle is back, you can pop world slash if you want to try going for that risky 90% slash.
That doesn't automatically make world slash great, but it does give you more freedom with when you want to use it. The move does consume a large part of your awakening bar though, which I also forgot to mention in this video. Both an upside, and a downside that I found out post-release.
Overall, it does make the move a little more useful since you can use it as a third one shot, rather than what my initial impression was, which was as an alternative to a one shot. It still doesn't fully remove the opportunity cost, since you are losing awakening, and it also doesn't remove the move's weakness of low range and high startup, but it does make it better. My stance on it doesn't change much though.

I’m seeing a different criticism of this video being brought up by a lot of people, which is “Just use it in domain”, which is technically true, but also dumb.
The reason it’s a dumb statement is because while world slash absolutely can work in domain and force them to let go of block, open, rush, your grab, and forward dash are all options that accomplish the exact same thing with far less moves being used. Adding on to that, rush is the incredibly quick to come out and is near impossible for a blocking opponent to avoid, while world slash gives them plenty of time to unblock and interrupt.
Both scenarios they take damage, but you use way less of your cooldowns in one of them. That’s why being able to world slash in domain doesn’t automatically make it good. It’s because they’re already dead the moment they’re in it.
Tomorrow I’ll upload some clips of me using world slash and landing it in ranked with some explanations of how it landed. It isn’t a useless move, but it is still impractical, since the condition you need to actually land it can kill if you go for any other option. (ie. domain or my one shot combo)

I think they just need to give world slash range of blue max or red max. That will make it more useful while making balance off losing 4 moves and a quarter off your ult bar a bit better
They removed the ult take and only dismantle has to be off cd

Dismantle cooldown isnt very long so you should use like the open first before doing the twin meteors/world dismantle

the best way to use it is after popping off your domain expansion. also you can chant it while the skill in on cd
A true combo for world cutting slash is to use domain then use the move and if they try to run they still lose half their hp running away
I think the best time to use world cutting slash is when your opponent is corned and can’t get to you in time or using it while your opponent is in malevolent shrine as they are forced to block and can do almost nothing
you can use world cleave when "OPEN" and "rush" on cooldown ( only req dismantle )

its useful if the opponent has nowhere to run like in building or something or in domain
Also i think the reason it takes all the moves and then doesnt do as much is like a binding vow (bare with me here) for 90 damage it takes less time to do kill the target but it rakes the moves and bar for the single attack. Now i have been able to land it a couple of times after either 1 comboing them and using the ragdoll into the slash and 2 3 m1s backdash and use it quickly because moat opponents tend to read the moves and if they dont know what it is they will try to block it or tank it (your becoming gojo if you choose the latter) you can also 3 m1s strikes 3 m1s uptilt backdash pop ult 3m1s downslam 1 and 3 together 2 and then r. Now thats not garentueed but it is a good way of hitting it.
You can use world slash as long as you have dismantle the other cooldowns dont matter
The best way it could be used is in your domain expansion to prevent blocking
World slash is just a move to do a cool finisher on someone and i really appreaciate it even tho it takes ages to use
Now after the buff I can tell that is definitely worth the risk, also try using it at someone that u trapped inside malevolent shrine, since its an easy one-shot
The buff made it a true combo now if they don't have dash, it's range is much much better and reaches farther
While you get I-Frames at the final Chant
has pretty good range actually, at least now. pretty good especially when you already dealt damage to someone and they pop domain and you can actually catch people with it
i say keep the long ass wind up thats needed to cast it + cd, but increase the range and damage slightly

I know there’s going to be some people saying fire arrow isn’t true, and though that isn’t entirely wrong, it’s practically guaranteed to land as long as you have good aim and your opponent isn’t using base Yuji. Also, if you want to go for the same thing but with no fire arrow needed, domain expansion will work just fine and be a true, albeit wasteful combo.

To be fair, we have three characters and six move sets (3 of which are modes). It is not that rare to find a Yuji yet
You can technically avoid fire arrow by going behind a building or pole as the fire arrow would just decimate the building or pole but that depends on how much distance you can gain and what your surroundings are currently, whether you are out in the open or in the thick of buildings.
I mean fire arrow is kinda true if your opponent is next to a wall/tree

what to really do with world slash: due to its wide hit box it’s very easy to just third party a existing fight.. so just do that, they can’t dodge it cuz they are focused on the fight 💀

I dont use fire arrow that much and the cd of 1&2 is not that long so i usually just do world slash at the end of mode
There is a very easy way to guarantee it hits, domain expansion: trap house kitchen
they should make it so fire arrow turns into world slash when lower than 15% health and it requires to be clicked 3 times to use and it deals 95% dmg and instantly comes out when fully charged(each spell save for 15 seconds)
You can use world slash inside the domain expansion.
The faint for yuji is good for baiting counters it’s really funny to emote with it too.

I've been playing with Itadori for a long time, but I feel that they nerfed him,to the point where he is unusable,if you combo with all of his moves It does around 40-50% hp, while gojo can do that with just blue and red, hakari is also a very very decent character, what do you think about Itadori compared to the others rn?And do you feel like they should buff yuji?
I think Itadori needs normal health more than anything else.

i normally use it when i pop domain and people just sit there and block it, so instead of using all my moves on one or two people i can use it on anyone that is grouped up and if no one is grouped up then i just use them normally
i mean you only need dismantle to be out of cooldown to use it rush and close can be on cd and you can use it so the cost isnt even that high so it can be used as one more chance at killing your opponent before your ultimate runs out

Some times world slash does a one shot for some reason and yeah i agree whit you world slash can be really useless and just a flashy technic Sukuna can use for fun... Unless you use it in specific conditions:
World slash can insta break a domain so iff you guess your oponent possition you can hit they whit world slash from outside the dommain
World slash can counter malevolent shrine for obvious reasons
World slash can counter hollow purple since iff your very close the move wont damage you giving you time to use the move
You find someone using a grab move like cursed strikes for obvious reasons the oponent cant move away from world slash (and it basically gives a double kill)
What does that situations have in common? Iff you used dismantle, open and rush it wouldnt have done much but keep in mind those are specific conditions and for the most part u using the normal moves are better

It is one of the coolest finisher and it can still be useful...take for example a 1v1...you are 1 life short and time is running out
..you have 10 seconds to do something...I doubt you'd have time to go for a punch exchange or a combo...so you go for world cut, 2 things can happen,
1: he dodges and you fail your last breath attack
2: he fumbles and you get another chance to win

Im not a manga reader but i remember hearing that most characters actually dodge the world slash and sukuna only landed it on gojo bc it was a surprise attack. So yea itd make sense that its hard to land. Or atleast so i have been told.
Not most, but a good few have. Mainly ones that have abilities that boost their senses like Maki. He landed it against a bunch of other people including top tiers.
You don't need any cooldowns to use world slash, except for for dismantle, so world slash basically has the same cooldown as dismantle

i didnt even notice it even existed, how do you even use it though
right, but if you uppercut and use it, by time they unragdoll you'll be in red stage (cant be canceled). if they dash away, they get cut. if they get behind you, you can turn around. the only counter is standing on your head, which i think will be fixed (world slash getting upwards hitbox). you can easily bait a ragdoll cancel by using R and pretending to go in for something, in which they will most likely counter or dodge which can be punished with a front dash into uppercut, then world slash. the whole domain into world slash thing is a bit weird considering different people play differently. for example, my friend always tries to outdamage the domain (yes, he dies every time), so it really depends on who you're fighting. even then, people act differently when you use your ult. I still think gojo ult is the best though, because it's literally "red blue, you lose". also, world slash instantly kills yuji because he has less health than the other characters for some reason (but he gets 50% heal on ult, and full heal when it ends), which also means it depends on the character you're fighting and if you can afford to use the other moves. i'm also pretty sure you can charge up world cut while someone is using their ult activation, but i might be wrong.

if you waste their ragdoll, use rush, side dash towards them and activate world cutting slash mid air, i THINK its true and it instakills even gojos
another way i utilize world slash is if i have many people in my domain. ones blocking, i use R. another is blocking, i use rush, a third one is blocking and rather than wasting a normal dismantle i use world cutting slash. it gives a lot more options when stuff is on cooldown and dismantle isnt viable.

Alternatively, a better Sukuna combo with less move usage would be Q + 3m1 + R + 1 + 3m1 + 3, which is a true oneshot.
World Slash is most useful when I use domain and my enemy blocks, but I wanna be extra flashy about how I kill them instead of using a normal move, grabbing with 'R' or m1ing behind them

Sukuna main, If you awaken before someone else and fight them and right before you kill them with his 70% combo. You should waste their rag doll, use rush then when you’re in the air cast it and they just insta die.

The only time I find world slash viable is when you get sucked into another Sukuna's domain because it kind of forces them to eat it with how long they're forced to stand still at startup.
I dont get why it puts rush and open on cooldown when it only needs dismantle. I'd only advocate for a range buff, because it is the "WORLD" slash, but honestly it just feels inconsistent to be able to use it while open and rush are on cooldown. Maybe make it an alternative to dismantle, like it does more damage and has a longer range but has every other drawback, minus taking away rush and open. That way you have a close range and long range slash.

The only scenario that makes world slash a good move is whenever a sukuna opponent uses his domain so u can start the animation and take 90% of their hp and then combo him with m1s since somehow sukunas ranged m1s hit ragdolled people

I didn’t know about only needing dismantle to be off cooldown and this move got a range buff before I made this video so there’s definitely some outdated stuff in this.
imagine failing a combo just beacuse you accidentally triggered world slash's first part
