Lucy is so right. Tim is nothing like his father. Tim was hard on Lucy because he wanted her to be a better cop and he actually cared about her. Even going to great lengths to back her up. Tim's father did nothing like that for his kids and probably his wife.
Oh gosh. Whoever wrote this is amazing. And the father is really believable as tims dad, both in looks and the way he talks. The whole thing cuts so deep into the human psyche.
Honestly I'm still a little mad that Tim's sister forgave their dad so easily. I'm glad she got closure but she acts like Tims the unreasonable one for holding their dad accountable for his actions
Forgiving someone isn’t not holding them accountable for their actions. It’s not letting the anger and resentment from whatever they did to you affect you anymore. Instead of taking your pound of flesh, you simply move forward. But you don’t have to continue to be in a relationship with that person either, that only comes with true repentance from the other person.
The “the Tim tests dont make me like him” line broke my heart 💔

This entire episode I wanted to go through the screen and give Tim a fkin hug. I'm so glad Lucy gave him one. He needed it

Damn, Tim and Dexter have the same dad
