You can tell the writer has no knowledge of knife fighting. There are effective ways of using both heaven grip and earth grip. There are also effective counters to both. I like this show on the whole, but it has regular points where the writers demonstrate their ignorance or try to push their politics, and it degrades the quality of the show.

Well females being in Infantry is something new to the ARMY since my time, but I can assure you that the only thing that has changed is the military has gotten softer, because nothing about biology has changed in the last 20 years, and I know from experience that the reasoning women were not combat arms then, was for a verifiable reason.
