Since I bought my Jeep Gladiator in 2019, I've been dreaming of putting a V8 in it, putting it on 40 inch tires with 1 ton axles, and just making the ultimate go anywhere overland rig. Today, 3 years later, we make that a reality.

I like your choice Shaun, that would definitely be my engine of choice as well! Still a monster with power but less parts to fail when you're in the middle of nowhere and you won't empty your fuel tank in 2 hours haha
Nah... You need boost in 10k+ elevation - I would prefer it in 7k+. Once you have 1.5+ bars on tap, you're not worried about elevation changes. Superchargers are OEM on a TON of 'important' vehicles these days and have been proven dead-nuts reliable. Just breaks more parts because of the off-idle torque. The old roots blowers are what caused that mindset that they're not reliable. With computers and modern manufacturing methods, your chances of breaking a supercharger are about the same as losing the bottom rotating assembly.

I’m 43 and I giggle like a 5 year old ever time I get in my Rubicon 392 and hear that Hemi growling under the hood. Nice build, can’t wait to see it out in the wild. 👍👍

Shaun i think you definitely made the right engine choice . The Demon is cool and all but the kind of wheeling you guys do up high and in the middle of no where . Your choice was definitely the smarter and safer choice , and hell who needs more than 600 HP ..
Thank you for another interesting video. I didn't realize that Jeep Gladiator has so much capacity and room for mods and tuning. Awesome rig! It replaces Land Cruiser 79 series in my dream list. It would be interesting to see 4Bt diesel engine swap or something similar.

That hemi will post some awesome 0-60 numbers.
I'm thinking I would personally go for the turbo diesel option. It puts out 440 pounds of torque so I suspect it comes from the factory with stronger axles that wouldn't need to be changed out.
I'd go for the diesel too.

600+HP, that is a nice V8. With that much power, you should have no problem breaking those new beefy dana60 axles at an inopportune time.
