Air mattresses need to be inflated a few times before they "hold" air. They aren't deflating, the material is expanding. Once it's stretched out, you fill it full and it stays well.
Maybe cardboard in the bottom, too.
It looks like you could snap it closed( trash bin)!
Brittany Vasseur tested?
Jeandiata Smith thank you.
Idk about that, I had an inflatable air mattress and it deflated every night no matter how full it was before hand.
When I was homeless and lived in my car, I would have loved that air mattress
Me too , I just slept scrunched up in the driver seat 💺🤷🏻♀️ I’m only 5”3 so it was fairly easy but not so good on the neck and back long term
Same here. I slept in the back seat and this would have been nice.
Probably would've loved a bed better lmao
i hope you are not a homeless person anymore
I would have LOVED the air mattress as a kid traveling far to my grandparent's house! I laid in the backseat and slept most of the time. I'm really short, so I barely have to bend my legs to lie in a backseat LOL
What about seat belts and the proper "safety" positioning?
@@thomfoz at one time, those were "suggestions". Personally, I slept in the back glass above the back seat.
We had a big ol' Buick growing up, on long car trips at night one kid would sleep across the bench seat, the other would sleep on the floor but we'd fill up the foot space with our bags and pillows so it was soft and level. Actually was comfy.
With that car mattress, you should use the “pillows” it came with to put underneath the mattress on the car seats beneath so it doesn’t slant so much.
That's what I figured they were for.
or deflate the support arm a little so its not pushing that side up as much.
He needed to move his front seats forward and it would of been fine
Inflate while it is in the car😒
@@614BlueBerry the fact he didn't even try blew me away lol.
The “pillows” are for the bucket seats. So you don’t lean backwards the way you did. They really should just be attached but I guess some backseats are still bench seats.
Thank you. I now feel forty-years older than I actually am. I hate this planet. I want a jet car with rockets and hologram projectors.
I have the atmosphere lights in my car but they're powered by USB. the remote wasn't working for you because you weren't pointing it at the ir sensor thats connected to that black box on the cable. the proper way to install them is to have them under the seat and have the LED strip invisible. I didn't use the 3m sticky side for the rear seats I just zipptied them under the seat on a metal part. wires are tucked away under the cars trim
The air mattress would be good for the homeless that sleep in their cars.
doubt they could afford it
@@lauranolastnamegiven3385 not everyone that is homeless, doesn’t have money. They might have been evicted or just cant afford the rent because prices rose
I can see the air mattress being useful on long car trips, give you a chance for that nap so you stay alert. I don't see an issue with it loosing air over night as you are probably going to pack it away after each use. Might also be useful as an emergency item if you get stranded somewhere.
Random Acts of Video ---woulda been great here in Atlanta when people got stuck in their cars because of the snow/ice we got a few yrs ago, but THAT is really being prepared. I liked the blingie lights--very cool.
Well if you're loosing air just use a wrench and tighten it up...lol
But if you're"losing" air ...
It would also be great for those scandalous midnight parking lot Rendezvous
good luck ever getting it packed the way it came in the box, lol
@@milkmanman lmao nice
Five freaking gadgets in one video?!? Possibly the best freaking review ever!!!
a clown should have said”in one freaking video”
I drive a 20 year old Buick as my daily. I keep my lesabre clean. Some of my friends use their newer (one in particular brand new car) as a whole ass mobile trash can. I'll never understand why.
Always enjoy your reviews. You don’t set unreasonable expectations and then automatically trash a product for views. I love that bling stuff. But I doubt anyone really wants to see a middle aged grandma in a blinged out Jaguar convertible. Besides my husband would have a fit with all the sticky backings. That slime is something I would try. Maybe it’s at the dollar store. Thanks for sharing. ❤️
I would LOVE to see a middle aged grandma in a blinged out Jaguar convertible, you do you girl!
Triela Rhyfel Very kind of you❤️
If you look online you can find recipes for a cleaning slime. If I remember right I think it's a bit different from other slime recipes.
Or you could just enter cleaning slime on Amazon & buy some.
Open package: and nothing, nothing at all
Oh its upside down.. love that part.✌😂🤣
That is one thing I hear from almost everybody on CZcams “ you’re doing it wrong, that’s not how you do it”
i think the coasters would be useful to help you find the cupholder at night lol.
Always like your reviews, you don't just test a product once and that 's it, you give them a test in all different ways and I like that👍 Thanks James and Bailey!!
I absolutely love your channel James! Best gadget review channel on CZcams, PERIOD!
Agreed 💯%! Anytime I'm thinking of getting something, I check to see if James has reviewed it 1st.. I only truly trust his opinions and reviews!
I love how you always go the extra mile to thoroughly test all these gadgets! Big 👍 from me!
As a detailer, that sticky stuff makes me cringe lol.
Lol
All the dog hair cracks me up, it's everywhere!!
That air mattress is a really neat idea. I'd bet it would work well for kids, say if someone needs a nap while you're on a picnic (and parked in the shade, with the windows down!). Also, I think putting the mattress in place first would help the part for the floor board to not need to be squished into place.
Budget Pimp My Ride.
Bahahahahaha! :-D
You love the bed in yo house now you got a bed in yo car dawg!
I was hoping to see Bailey and I was NOT disappointed! 13:50 - Bailey! Bailey!
Hey James, first I really appreciate what you are doing, videos like these are rare these days. As for the atmosphere lights, I have a set of them and for the remote to work there is generally a sensor at the end of a wire that comes from the junction box, the remote works on a line of sight basis and if the remote can't see the sensor it won't work. Just thought I would offer that info.
The luminous coasters are neat. The car cleaning goo/slime is not too shabby. I think the car trash can/cooler is something that would irritate me. But ya do kinda need a trash can in your car. My grandpa always has that trash can/tissue holder that say on the hump in floorboard of his El Camino. The floor lights are nice but not practical for me. Love the mattress for the back seat. I agree about the texture. Somebody will be making a video of living in their car with that baby. Haha. Great reviews.
No on the trash can, mattress, indoor car lights and slime. Yes on coasters. Good to see Bailey. Love your channel.
this guy is so legit, he does his job perfectly! great personality
Hey you need to aim the remote at the control box where the power adapter goes to..
Love your tests. So chilled and well tested. A pleasure to watch.
1. Air mattress: have used for young children while car camping. Works great. I agree with other reviewer who pointed out that inflatable products stretch the first few times in use and will need extra inflation until size settles.
2. I have lived in Palm Springs, & Edwards AFB & now live in central Texas…if you EVER find an in car adhesive that works in Vegas do a whole show on it…it’ll be worth it.
3. The advantage of coaster lights is to find where to put your open drink in the dark. (You are probably too young to remember drive in movies.
4. Since coolers rely on keeping cool air in, no cooler that isn’t airtight will ever work well. (Try leaving your ‘fridge’ open). PS as an aside IMHO when camping using several smaller coolers in sequence rather than a monster size cooler that everyone is constantly letting the cold out of is much more effective especially if A. you will be gone more than a day and B. There are more than 2 people along.
Love my drive bag. I put mine in the middle of front seats and hang over in back so I can easily add any tissues or trash from drivers seat.
I just seen an ad for Nite Ize Twist Ties and I was hoping you could do a review of them, I own a GMC and have roof racks and don’t want to waste my money if they’re not worth it. Also I love the cupholder lights, great for night travelling and you need to put your drink back, no wasted time looking for your cupholder. That’s what stuck out the most for me on this video. Thank you again for your reviews. I enjoy them and think you do a wonderful job. Cheers 🇨🇦
4:32 the passenger in the back seat during a crash " *chuckles* I'm in danger"
I love your Chanel! You buy all the “useless” stuff that I’m Skeptical of buying.. you give me all the Satisfaction with none of the cost LOL
love the lighted coasters and the air mattress!! another great video. i freakin love freakin reviews!
The Drive Bin is really for Uber Drivers or road trips in my opinion.
Why put a plastic in a bin. Just use a plastic bag.
Evelyn Schmidt, liquids really. Not all the trash is dry and plastic bags aren’t water tight. Also a plastic bag hanging off the headrests doesn’t look good. My passengers don’t want to see that when I’m driving them.
It’s appealing to me, and I rarely go on road trips. It’s going to keep the car clean!
It’d be terrific for those late night parking lot back seat meet ups! After using the inflatable mattress, you can toss the condom in the Drive Bin! Save the planet!
I have one from walmart, I feel so uncomfy driving lyft with the trash bin in someone's face. So I do understand that. No one really uses it and throws trash around anyways.
Your videos are my new obsession! Thanks for your thoroughness!
You should place the led lights under your steering wheel area and glove compartment area. As well as underneath the driver and passenger seats. There should be a metal bar under the seats that will allow you to mount them. I drive for uber and lyft and use those exact lights. They are a lot better than what i thought they would be. Also it would probably be best to tuck the wires under your center console. These lights have made me so much tips doing ride share. 5 stars from me
6:45 lmaooo idk why that made me crack up
Always love your vids man keep them coming 👍
Best use of air mattress is for kids to play and sleep on during long drives. 55+ years ago my dad rigged up a semi-flat surface by filling in the foot wells with blankets etc. Several of us small kids loved it!! He would’ve preferred the inflatable version of today because it packs down into a smaller package for storage.
I always love ur videos and I truly appreciate all the hard work u put into them. U should compare these car gadgets with the ones you can get off Wish.. See if the Amazon ones are better quality or not cause I know they have many if not all of these car gadgets (and then some!) Have a GREAT night James! Again, thank u for sharing!! 😊💯👍✌✌
As far as the trash can thing, you could take a cooler the same size and use it, you might be able to get one for less than $14.00.
The air mattress reminded me of being a kid and falling asleep in the back of my parents' station wagon.
for trash its simple...
what ive always done for some years now... is use a regular cheap plastic trash can. Eventually i changed it up to two. First go find a square plastic holder one or even one of those fabric square compartment things certain bookshelves/shelving have... next buy a regular cylinder container as well. Put the cylinder one in the square one and place behind the passenger seat on the ground. Throwing stuff away is easy. Reach your hand and throw away in the back. And because it is not just the cylinder can back there.. the square one provides you with stability. I also place few extra bags or gloves and hat there too or whatever and it doesnt move around now. If it does just move passenger seat back if noone is sitting with you. Also if you need all 4 seats just move trash can to the trunk. It wont tip over or anything because again its in the square tub thing to add stability. Lastly just save your walmart or grocery bags to replace these when you need to.
The mattress was cool. I don’t think it should lose that much air in one day. The coasters have there purpose, swing where to put your beverage at night. Good review.
I can see the mattress being good for with people with pets. Especially on a long car ride.
The LED lights by your feet, there's a lot of different sets, I got one that (in my opinion) was way better than the set you got for a few bucks, if you really do take the time, you can hide the wires and stuff in panels and such.
I don't get too much garbage in my car, but I usually just throw it all away whenever I stop for gas. Doesn't take me but a second and it's usually just a few small wrappers or plastic from an energy drink.
Rockin' the Steampunk shades!
Enjoy your work! I find your reviews valuable to I buy.
Out of necessity I use that mattress because I can't sit anymore due to the disability I have.
So, not only things like this are used for fun, also pure survival to get me from point house to hospital.
Edit, and I have it already several years so, durable? Yes.
mademoisellekaya I didn’t even think of this, it’s awesome. I’m glad it works for you! Now I’m gonna think about these gadgets for more than just superficial uses.
@@brittanyguy1400 Thank you 😊 And yes, that is why I watch reviews like these and have found more than just this product that is beneficial to or for me 🤗
I am glad to see people now maybe watch some products a little bit out of a different angle, they really can look superficially to one person but for the other litteraly a great help to make daily life easier.. 👍
James...I live alone so nobody else to ride with me. I put my trash can on the floorboard of the passenger side with the strap going over the gear shift handle. That way the bag doesn't slide around & is always within arms length while driving. I found 600 small bags on Amazon for $7 & they are black which looks nicer than store plastic bags. Yes, the black bags ship from China & takes about 3 weeks to arrive but the store plastic bags work fine until they arrive. When it gets full & being located within arms length, I just pull the bag out & toss it into the garbage can. If it's not messy trash, I pull the trash out & put it in a store plastic bag so I can reuse the black bag & I can still toss my trash in my garage can. I haven't tried it as a cooler yet so can't comment on that one. I'm finding it very convenient to toss any wrappers directly into the trash can which minimizes clean up. 😁 I've been using it for about 3 months with NO complaints. 👍 👍 👍
OH MY GOD!!! I thought of the Drive Bin back in 2000 but decided it was a stupid idea when I found that the litter bag had already been invented!!! So someone invented a litter bag for your car with a canvas skin and a strap.
Haha “I get told I do everything wrong ...This dude jams harder.
Here's what I use for my car's dust on the dash -- a swifter cloth. Store brand is even cheaper! No use for any other of those gadgets but still a fan of your videos.
I keep 1 in my car !! Handy at STop lights !!!
My vehicle comes with atmosphere lights. Even the ones in the cup holders. The nice thing about the cup holders is when you want to put your cup back in the dark. You can see where your going with it so you don’t miss it. Love your videos. I think you may be one of the most unbiased reviewers out there! I’ve seen some that are so one sided when comparing items that I had to click the not interested option so they quit coming up in my CZcams feed, because I watched one of their videos. I have subscribed to you. Have a great new year!!!
In case you have still had some trouble with the atmosphere lights there is a chord coming out of the black box that leads to a tiny black receiver on the end of the wire. The remote has to be pointed at that to be able to change colors and functions. That’s why I installed mine up front and tucked away all the wires under the plastic siding and dash
I love your reviews but what cracked me up with this one was when you read residues.... OMG that was so funny to me that I had to rewind a few times 😂
Trash bag position is better as a vomit bag for backseat driver.
That's what it reminded me of.
Yes it would be. 👍 I used to get car sick so I wish I had this. I still get car sick & not just in cars. I can't even go on the city bus. I wish I could take this bag with me everywhere but I think it'd scare or gross people out. 🤔 It'd be perfect for me though.
Just subscribed dude! Love your videos, been watching them non stop hahaha
I have the Drive Bin and I love it. The fact that you can use it as a cooler comes in handy when you impulse buy ice cream and other small things that need to be cooled until you get them home.
I slept on an indoor air mattress for a year and a half and they do spring holes every now and then and you ride them down. The part of it that lost more air will have a hole very soon. Also, by the end of the year, the cover material started thinning out. Supposedly you can patch them with pool patches but it is wicked hard to find the holes. You have to blow bubbles over it.
Bought myself the coasters previously, what i did was gut the elctronicsout and wire in blue led light underneath connecting to my parker switch to turn on once i turn the headlight and dash lights on.
I think the Velcro for the Drive Bin is to keep it shut on top especially for the occasion with the soda cans and ice.
It would be covered by the liner if you stuck the Velcro on the interior of the trash bag. I had a trash bag that came with Velcro and it was for hanging in places other than head rests etc. You attach one piece to a plastic or solid hard part of the interior and the second to the bag. It wasn't handy for me at all and I imagined it would soon come loose in the heat or very cold.
Love these reviews... :)
Thanks for reviewing the Super Clean! Now I’m going to have to buy it.
My Ford comes with ambient lighting in the cupholders. I love it.
Great review!! Cool gadgets!! Thanks!!
I have a car air matress on my Amazon wishlist, so I was VERY interested in your review of this. Seems they could have designed it to be more level. I was gonna comment about using a store bag in the Drive Bin, but you anticipated this!
Ever reviewed fishing gadgets? 😁 Love your Videos
1. Drive bin: just buy a black or dark gray lunch bag at Walmart. They’re usually $7. I tie mine off to the gear shift & it hangs in the passenger well. It even has a velcro closure on the flap
2. Use Joe’s Sticky Stuff (clear butyl) to clean your cars interior. It works better than the slime & you get a huge roll for $20 w/ endless applications
3. A twin size air mattress will fit most backseats & costs $30
Yes I was hoping for a Sunday Freakin Review
I randomly saw that car mattress online a couple years ago and have occasionally thought of it ever since...would’ve been super handy in my party days, even still would just be something handy to have in your boot....you never know
I aggee! Love your reviews! Tyfs!
I keep eyeing those air mattresses on Amazon... thanks for reviewing one of them. After the eviction moratorium ended, homelessness in my city (Charlotte, NC) went up by 55% in just a couple of months. I bet I'm not the only person who's been giving it the side eye, and thinking long and hard about it investing in it.
I have a station wagon (Yes, an 05 Focus Wagon). I keep the rear seat down for my dogs. I can see where I could easily sleep in the wagon with this car air mattress as I wouldn't need the inflated part that goes in the rear footwells.
With the air mattress you should have also tried it with pushing your front seats all the way up and leaning them all the way forward, sucks you would have to adjust them but you’d probably have so much more room and easier to move. Great video!
Fun video; thanks for posting. I have bought so many gadgets over the years and rarely use them - lol. I have a Flux Capacitor phone charger that got the most use. I bought it from Think Geek, which is now out of business. I think Games top bought them out and may still have just a few items.
Hey james! I have the led car lights. There is a receiver box you need to aim the remote directly at for it to work. It is a very weak signal so you must be accurate with it. Another thing I found was I occasionally have to click the red button on the 12v end of the plug bc it gets stuck on white. Do not use while driving unless you are a passenger! 💜
For the ambient lighting kit for the car, you need to mount the receiver/ controller boxin an area visible to the remote and aim the remote at the receiver/ controller. Some devices have a wider reception than others. You may have to be fairly close. I mounted mine on the side of my center console adjacent to the stereo.
Great review.
James, you forgot to show the alternative use to the backseat mattress. Use it as a lawn chair for 2. 👍🏼
Gabe G. lol
You should have tested Bailey on the mattress, might be good for larger dogs in the back seat to lay on.
cyberi4a that’s what I thought too, great to have for the dogs to lay on.
It’s an air mattress. She has a good chance of popping the thing because of her teeth and nails. Not so good.
Good point, but it could work with a piece of form over it to protect it maybe. Just the fact it extends over the edge of the seat would be worth trying since it gives a bigger area for a dog.
Dogs and air mattress dont mix
He's in Arizona, the dog would either die if you left a dog in the car to sleep without the engine running ... or should be restrained in a seat belt/harness if the car is moving. I guess you can put the mattress under but a giant dog with nails on an inflatable seems like asking for trouble.
The car air mattress at a festival would be a game changer instead of a tent lol
I have one of those car wastebaskets (not the same brand). I usually have it strapped to the front of the passenger headrest, and it comes in handy with discarded wrappers and napkins.
I have a fiat and the cupholders are hard to find in the dark. The coasters would work well for that. Just one is needed to add a little light where it's needed.
I just went on eBay and ordered the air mattress for a lot less than 60 dollars I am planning a trip from Oklahoma to California and that will be most useful. Also the cup lights. I know you said a solid cup blocks the light but in the dark, it's hard to see where they are after you grab your drink to put it back while your driving. I think they are very useful. Now to the trash bin, I use a grocery bag hanging on the passenger's side of the console for those items that seem to acuminate. I just found your channel it's GREAT! I did subscribe, Thanks for all the information! I can't wait to see more.
I have slept in my back seat of my truck on a regular air mattress...$25.... And two correctly sized carboard boxes to fill the behind the seat gaps, plus could put the air mattress in one with the pump for storage when not in use. Cost of coleman 12v pump, $13.00 at wallie world. That tested back seat set up is just a bit unwieldly and the price is too high for me. But I enjoyed seeing you messing with it! Ha ha.
Lilo and 2 suite cases to fill the gap, with a double duvet folded to work like a sleeping bag, normal pillow and my Mickey Mouse alarm clock to make sure I don't over sleep being so comfortable. You do call them Lilo in America don't you?
I don't have the Super Clean but I have something similar. It does work and is really good for getting dirt and dust out of vents and speaker grills. The gel likes to stick to dirt so if your hands are dirty, guess what? Yep, it will stick to your hands. Wash your hands (or use some vinyl gloves) and there won't be a problem. Also only good for loose dust or dirt. It won't do much for something that is dried on like coffee stains.
At the very least, drive bin is a non bulky cooler you can carry say to a beach. Could also be used to hold stuff on a trip. The liners are silly...unless you can't find a store bag. I use my store bags as trash bags and haven't bought a real trash bag in years.
Are the car coasters water proof? Bottles sweat and sometimes you get a spill from cups.
I've seen a few things like those in stores. they are water resistant but not water proof.
lol...."this car was just cleaned!!" 😂😂....😐
Love this channel! Nice
I've used a product called Cyber Clean which was identical to Super Clean. I think there were 2 different versions: yellow for home & office and blue for car. Don't really know if they had any other difference than the color though. Could've been just a marketing trick to sell more stuff.
Anyway thanks for your awesome videos and best regards from Finland!
Now out of the 5 yes the air matters for the car will be a great use only if you on this long road trips and great way of use yes. But I will use super clean not for my car but for my laptop :D lol that's just me great reviews on these car gadgets I can't wait for more of your contents real soon! Keep up the work
Your reviews are good keep it up 👍
Nice video as always
Absolutely love Bailey
I have similar underglow lights that are hardwired into my car's cigarette lighter, they cost me about 35 bucks at PepBoys a few years back (or AutoZone has them too), and they have a dial hardwired in to choose the color. I used Loctite to glue them into place, mine had issues with the 3M backing as well falling off where I had placed them... where you put the 3rd and 4th ones, there is a spot to put them under the chairs but it is a pain in the nuts to get to, so I can understand just putting them on the chair.
I have a mini van and I keep a small hard plastic garbage can with a 13 gal bag the only thing I do is is keep something heavy in the bottom of the can to keep it from tipping over during a drive but the can definitely makes a difference to me I do like having the can to keep my van clean
Just loop the store bag handles over the shift knob on the passenger side and boom, instant "drivebin". ;)
Atmospheric lights should work if you point the IR to the on/off button it looks like it hides an IR receiver and check the controller box and all the lights separately for small IR receivers
